Well…here in Michigan, it was a dem sweep of all of the higher offices and control of the state house and senate were returned to the dems…yay! The proposal to hold a constitutional convention failed which I hoped it would to deprive the repubs of the chance to screw with women’s rights here even after we amended the constitution to protect them by popular vote…these damn repubs never give up trying to hurt people and I hope our state has had enough of their bullshit…the other proposal was to ban public utilities from being able to bribe state officials with campaign money and require clear reporting on where the money in elections is coming from…and that passed with over 60% of the vote…one of the clear victories across the US was the election of dem governors that will put a stop to the repubs plans to call a national constitutional convention to put their hate of women and minorities into it…it was a good night for the good guys and a bad one for the idiot trump and his thugs with calls from multiple newly elected senate dems to “rip ICE to shreds” as the senator elect from Minnesota said in her acceptance speech…Peggy Flannagan is the first native American woman ever elected to the senate and appears to be a solid progressive with Medicare for all as one of her priorities…good for her…okay, want to go out and find Abdul’s acceptance speech….
