Wisconsin and Minnesota…

Well…read a really interesting article somewhere today where economists compared the economies of Minnesota and Wisconsin and how they are performing in economic growth and job creation….one of the things that makes this really interesting is that Wisconsin is controlled and run by repub policies that are mirrors of what the repubs want to do and have done on a national level…and that is attack the unions, cut taxes for corporations, cut education funding and then have faith that this crap will work when it goes counter to accepted economic theory. Where has this gotten Wisconsin with Walker in charge? Almost 40th in job growth since Walker took office with only 90K jobs created when he made the election promise that his policies would add over 250K jobs in the first year of his term…and economic growth is in the bottom half of the states, too. Now lets look at Minnesota, a democratic controlled state that has embraced the unions, raised taxes on corporations, and has invested more in education and training…well, guess what? they are 5th in job creation, tied with another Dem controlled state, California who both have implemented fact based economic policies that look to help workers instead of corporations. Again, Minnesota is in the top ten in economic growth of any state, and they haven’t taken away womens rights or tried to decimate the middle class by taking away the right to organize. So, it’s pretty clear what works and what doesn’t…so, let’s remember that when ole Walker tries to lie his way into the repub nomination in 2016…geez…
