Well…I did get two outdoor rides in today and the turkey was being exceptionally weird on the road up to the beach…when I got there, Stupid the turkey was chasing cars at full speed down the road gobbling loud enough that I could hear it over my music..so, of course, I gobbled right back at him and he stopped dead, turned around, and started to follow me up the trail…weird as heck…man the wind has been blowing like crazy out here all day today and I’m glad I went out early but it was still blowing almost 20 when I was out there but now it’s blowing 25-30 and gusting to 40…I really shouldn’t be surprised at that after living out here for 4 years…I did get the dough for another loaf of sourdough bread mixed up using the new batch of starter I made yesterday and it is now in the fridge doing it’s cold fermentation so I can bake it tomorrow morning and have some with the soup I’m having for lunch and dinner tomorrow…probably need to do some meal planning tomorrow, too and get some stuff out of the freezer…the temp is going to start crashing here in a couple of hours and tomorrow’s high is only going to be 35 so I’ll be indoors for the rides…but it will be warm enough to outdoors for most of the week but I’ll have to be in part thermasuit…okay, need to do some reading…
Poor lil Marco..
Well…since the G7 summit was being held in Canada, our SoS lil Marco Rubio had to go there and the greeting he got at the airport made me laugh like hell…first, there were only two people to greet him and the red carpet was about the size of a bath mat and dropped into a puddle…and since it was being covered by Canadian media, almost all of the questions were about his idiot boss and his threats to take over Canada…after a while lil marco got a little frustrated and lashed out at the reporters…now I’m not sure if this was planned by the Canadian government but their new PM ripped on idiot boy and in no uncertain terms said his comments on Canada and the stupid trade war he started are his fault…so good, the rest of the world is starting to treat the moron in chief with the contempt he deserves…oh, and Portugal just cancelled an order for a bunch of F-35s they were going to buy…geez…
March 15th
Well…damn, feel like crap this morning and I wonder it I ate enough yesterday with a bowl of soup and one chicken thigh? Sure doesn’t feel like it but we’ll see after I get a cup of coffee down…with the rain and high winds out there, I won’t be outside on the bike today…and I may only do two rides indoors today with the way I feel….don’t even want to do one so I’ll wait a bit to go down…I did get the sourdough starter ready for making a loaf of bread today but that seems like too much work right now…it was nice to get rides in outdoors yesterday but March in Michigan weather is coming in tomorrow with the high only 35 degrees with high winds so I’m not sure when I’ll get back outside…was really hoping to get 2K miles in before the end of March but that looks out of reach…need to stop with the goals this year…they are wearing me out…I may go out at 8am since it’s going to be over 50 and shorts weather and the wind is not going to be howling until a little later…we’ll see…not much to do today…just going to do the rides and get the bread dough ready to bake tomorrow…have already gotten through the last Harlan Coben book I picked up yesterday and that is a little sad…have read everything the library has so I need to find a new author to fill my time…more later…

Well…the hits keep coming across the economy as the idiot trump keeps up his stupid trade war…this time hitting arms manufacturers here…just last week, Germany cancelled an order for 35 F-35 fighter jets and Poland was going to replace the 100 F-16s they gave to Ukraine with F-35 but now is looking at the Eurofighter Typhoon that has almost as good performance as the F-35 and is less than half the cost…and this is not the only damage idiot boy has done…right now Korea and Canada are in talks to see what Korea can supply them as the Canadians stop buying from us after the stupid tariffs…and this includes submarines and other ships that used to come out of US shipyards but won’t anymore…and the EU is in talks to replace all of the American arms they buy since with idiot boy in the WH, the US has become unreliable so they are going to go their own way…can you say loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs? That’s where were heading and once people find other sources for the arms they need, we’ll never get that business back…good job, maga morons…geez..

Well…just a shorty on an article that I just read over on Mastodon…in retaliation for the tariffs that idiot boy put on Chinese goods, China has cancelled all beef purchases from the US stating they will buy from Canada and Brazil instead…I guess the “great businessman” you voted for isn’t so great, huh? The carnage from the imbecile you elected is just getting started and there is a full blown recession ahead…consumer confidence and spending by households is down by almost 30% since idiot boy took office and since our economy is driven by consumer spending…the bloodbath is going to get worse and worse…the FAFO stage is just getting started and I really do hope the pain these morons have foist on this country hits these owners in the ass…geez..
March 14th
Well…slept okay last night and I got through the whole day with no pain in my eyes so I’ll take that…have already washed my eyelids and put the heated compress on them and that really cleared the crap out of them…it’s going to be warm this aft so I’ll wait to do the outdoor rides until then and then I’ll be able to go out in a t-shirt and shorts but that means I’ll have a big hole in my day from 9 after I go to the library so I think I’ll make the potato soup I have planned this morning…so I need to get an indoor ride in at 7, shower, head for the library at 9, make soup, add to the sourdough starter so I can make the dough tomorrow, then lunch and wait for the temp to come up…I seem to always need to plan my days even this long retired but that makes it easier and then I get things done…it is supposed to storm tonight and the we have winds tomorrow with steady 25-35 and gust to 50 so I won’t be outside on the bike…and the high Sunday is only 35 so I’ll be back indoors again for a while…and there is snow in the forecast for next Thursday as the cold settles in til April…ick…not much to do today…just need to get started on the plan here in a half hour or so but want more coffee first…not going to hit the goal of 2K miles before the end of March but that’s okay…the only goal I have left is to ride everyday and keep my string going….more later…
Outside in shorts…
Well…I was able to to get outside for a ride this afternoon in shorts! It is so freeing to get out of the thermasuit for the first time this year…and the strange thing was going out this morning, I was in full thermasuit and I can’t remember doing that and then going out in the afternoon in shorts…and tomorrow looks like three outdoor rides and I hope all of them will be in shorts…and I got the car washed after the first ride today and it sure needed it…but it won’t make another winter so I need to get off my butt and find a new car…I did finish the 4 books I got last week so I can go to the library tomorrow and pick up 4 more…and that will be a top down run…haven’t seen the stupid turkey the past couple of days and I wonder if he got run over by a car…that would be a shame since he was providing me with a lot of entertainment…I get to watch all of the good shows tonight since I’ve been saving them all week…so I should make the ice I need for cocktails…
Senate dems need to kill the bill…
Well…with the maga laden funding bill passing in the house with no dem support, it’s time for senate dems to kill the damn thing until the house repubs come to their senses and pass a “clean” CR before the government shuts down tomorrow…this is just more bullshit where the repubs anoint the idiot trump king and give up their constitutional power to the executive branch…just like they did when they allowed musk to trample all over the government and cut spending that has already been approved by congress…and this bill would codify the idiot’s ability to crash the economy by giving him sole control of tariffs and abdicating their duty to control the purse strings as has been the case since the country was founded…just another example of the repubs doing everything they can to not do their jobs…geez…
March 13th
Well…man, I’m sore from riding in the wind yesterday but I slept okay so I’ll take that…didn’t get up once over night but climbed out of bed before 6am and, as I’ve bitched about before, I would like to sleep in just one more time before I die…it is going to be warm enough to go out in shorts this afternoon and I’m wondering if I should delay the third ride to take advantage of that? I probably will but I do need to find some time to read today so I can hit the library tomorrow…not going to make potato soup today since I still have leftovers for another two days so I’ll probably put that back til Sat and that means I’ll have to figure out two new meals and get the ingredients out of the freezer…have already gotten one treatment of the eyes done and they feel pretty good…or they don’t hurt so that’s cool…going to do the first ride indoors and the 2nd one will still be in full thermasuit since it’s only in the 20′s right now and still in the 30′s around 9am when I hope to get out for the first ride…the wind is down to about 7 today and I hope that holds all day…not much to do today…just the rides since I did laundry earlier in the week and don’t have a lot of cleaning to do…need to feed the sourdough starters so I can make bread in a few days…more later….
Eye is better…
Well…the eye is making progress already after only one day of the washing/warm compress treatment and I have to do it one more time today along with adding the medicine for the eyelids for a couple of weeks…so, a good result so far…man, the wind was so bad coming back from the only outdoor ride today that I couldn’t get over 10 no matter how hard I pedaled…25 mph with gusts to 35 all the way back and I tweaked my right knee I had to pedal so hard…so then I did the third ride indoors but I didn’t get that done until after one so I didn’t get much reading done…and want to get back to that soon…I am still confused on how I can gain weight on the calories I eat…I mean today I had a hot dog and a handful of chips for lunch and then one chicken thigh and cooked cabbage for dinner…and that would be about 400 calories for lunch and 300 for dinner and I should be losing like crazy with doing 3 rides a day and burning 1,800 calories doing it…I know I’ve been putting muscle on my upper body that I can see when I look in the mirror but who knows how much that would be…oh, well…need to clean my eyelashes again…
