Well…with the asshole in chief terrorizing immigrant communities across this country…he and his maga folk are the only ones that want this to happen at all…in the latest polls, 70% of Americans don’t want any immigrant deported and especially when it’s done by ICE thugs…read an article this morning that this terrorizing is affecting the health of these people who live under constant stress when they are just trying to live their lives…I just can’t understand why the right just hates these people..I mean, what are they doing that is so bad? Working hard and raising families? And doing work that no one else will do? We all need to remember that these are human beings with the same hopes and dreams as anyone else in this country who are trying to make a better life for themselves and the only reason they are targeted is political since idiot boy thinks it’s an issue that the whole country agrees that something needs to be done…but does it really? Immigrants pay taxes and into SS and never get a dime out of it and I think that’s wrong…what if we stop paying billions of dollars to hunt these people down and just make them citizens…then we wouldn’t need the ICE thugs anymore and that would save billions more…yeah, I know, the cruelty is the point to the idiot trump…he loves the fact that he can bully immigrants and they are helpless to do anything about it…typical bully bullshit…geez…
June 14th
Well…up at 4:44 this morning but was able to stay in bed almost 6 and that extra hour made a difference…but that puts me late for getting on the bike before 7 so I can see the start of the 24 hours of LeMans…and that will be on in the background all day since the Motor Trend channel is going to cover most of it live…damn, have only 10 minutes before I need to get on the bike and the first cup of coffee is just going down so I need to get going on that, too..I need to do much more cleaning today and I think I’m going to start on the living room first and then maybe do the dining room since I’ve let the table fill with crap that should be sorted out…feel a little slug like with only doing 25 miles a day but that’s enough for an almost 72 year old…still have leftovers for today but will need to cook tomorrow and I think I’m going to do a stir fry and then Masala Monday…I am going to the “no kings” protest down the hill at 6 pm today since every damn citizen should protest the asshole trump and his spending 50 million dollars to give himself a military parade for his birthday….not much to do today…just the rides and the races all day…more later….
The new bags work…
Well…you know I was looking for bigger trash bags to put the new chair in when I go to the beach and they just came…and they work perfectly and are so heavy duty that I don’t think I can tear one if I try…and there is enough extra room in them that it will be easy to put on once the chair is full of sand…so, I’m all ready for the beach whenever it gets warm enough to go…pretty cool…and the two bags of coffee beans came too, but I did buy the Colombian beans again since they were cheaper and came in 6 ounce bigger bags…so now I have three full bags in the drawer that should last me the rest of the year…I was able to taste the pour over I made this morning so I’m holding out hope I may get my taste back…man, that would be so cool to taste hot sauce again or garlic or anything, really…I guess I need to look at the weather forecast to plan a day on the beach…I did get the kitchen cleaned from top to bottom today and that makes me feel good…going to do the living room tomorrow and rotate the couch cushions…I did a really stupid thing and picked up two books that I’ve already read so that leaves me with 3/4 of a book to read for the entire weekend…darn…time for tv…

Well…was just sitting here and got the idea to make some whole bean coffee since I didn’t have enough to keep me moving all day…and it has shocked me that I think my sense of tasted is coming back a little…when I got up this morning the white coating on my tongue had turned green so I think the medication is starting to work and I have 3 more days of it after today…it would be so cool to be able to taste food again but I’m not going to get my hopes up too high…but one of the effects of this yeast infection is the loss of taste and I really can taste the coffee…okay, these are words that I never thought would come out of my mouth…I’m happy with my weight…yeah, that sounds weird to me, too…down to around 170 pounds after this last checkup and, with the muscle I’ve put on my upper body, I don’t think I’ve ever looked like this…I could use to lose the little band of fat around my middle and I may keep trying to lose that but my face is pretty gaunt looking and that makes me look older and I really don’t need that since I am already really old…time for lunch and reading…
Trump loses again…
Well…as I said yesterday, the idiot trump sending in the national guard was illegal and now a judge has said that it is in fact illegal and returned control of the California National Guard to the governor, Gavin Newsom who it is expected will send them home…and people are coming around to the fact that all of the problems in LA are caused by idiot boy and his goons that he sent in…and now we have an example for the dems to emulate…standing up to trump shows him for the insecure fraud he is and every damn dem needs to do the same every damn day…no more playing nice, no more trying to “work across the aisle”, just resistance, resistance, and more resistance…not like the 75 dems in the House who voted for a resolution praising ICE last week…no cooperating anymore…idiot boy has no more cards to play after we call his bluff…all of the bad things that are happening are trump’s fault…and we need to keep hammering on that every day…geez…
June 13th
Well…up at 5:23 this morning and I wonder what it’s going to take to sleep in one more time before I die? Feel okay, though, so I guess the results are what matters….it’s warm enough to go out on the bike right now at 6am but I need to pour some coffee down before I do…the wind is going to be a problem today with it blowing 15-20 out of the east so coming back is going to be brutal…I really like my new beach lounger and I can’t wait to use it and go to the beach but I need it to be warmer before I do…there is no temp forecast to be over 80 for the next two weeks and that is really unusual for this late in June…and I need to order the big contractor bags to put it in to corral the sand…and I’ll order those today along with coffee and a spare set of pedals for the bike just to have them here…don’t have to cook today after making the flat pizza and cooking some chicken thighs yesterday so I’ll need to freeze the chicken breasts I bought Wed and make stir fry and Masala starting next week…I feel pretty fortunate to have the problem of too much food when a lot of older folks in this country go hungry every day…and there is something wrong with that….the medicine for my tongue has started to work but I still can’t taste much and I hope that changes…more later…
Got the new beach chair…
Well…they just delivered the new beach chair and it is really nice but a little too big for the 30 gallon bags I used to put the old one in to contain the sand…so I’m going to have to buy some contractor sized bags…okay, just looked on amazon and I can get 10- 3 mil thick 55 gallon bags for 12 bucks so I’ll order them when I order the coffee and new bike pedals tomorrow…the new chair’s frame is crackle coated grey and it is very sturdy…set it up and laid on it and it is really comfortable…will probably never have to buy another one…it has built in strap handles and came with a shoulder strap…can’t wait to try it at the beach…maybe next week…and it will be easy to carry it to the water’s edge since the beach is less than half as deep as it was when they dredged the sand…and it came with a cup holder and pockets to store stuff in…I think it’s really worth the 70 bucks since I tried one from walmart a couple of years ago for 40 bucks and it fell apart after the first use…and it has three legs that it stands on instead of the two that most of them have…might be overkill but I just want to be comfortable…ooo…the pocket is big enough to hold a book so I can read on the beach…have to be careful about sunburn…very cool…
It’s not an insurrection…
Well, god how I hate the idiot trump…he’s calling the peaceful protest in LA an “insurrection” just to be able to justify sending his ICE thugs in to attack anyone who opposes him…and the only violence there is caused by the ICE thugs attacking these protestors…and now he has the National Guardsmen from California protecting ICE as they attack…and these thugs have arrested a union president…a citizen by the way, who was at the protest…this is all part of the fact that idiot boy can’t stand when anyone disagrees with him and now the rest of the repub party is just fine with him using the military to attack people who are expressing their constitutional right to protest…but we know he doesn’t care about the constitution at all since he breaks it every damn day…and now he is sending his thugs into blue cities to try to start a war to justify taking every right away from everyone…when the hell are politicians going to stand up to this asshole? I’m going to do my part by going to the “No kings” protest that is happening here in Muskegon Saturday evening at Heritage Landing just down the street…I’m curious to see how many people turn out…geez…
June 12th
Well…I get to have coffee this morning! That is a little thing but after having to skip it to keep my bp down yesterday made the bike rides a bit of a struggle…need to get on the bike in 20 minutes to get my day started and it will be a busy one again…need to get two rides in, then go out to get the prescription and then come back here and cook since I finished off the leftovers yesterday but I may leave the stir fry til tomorrow since I bought a cheap pizza at DD yesterday and I haven’t had one of those in more than a year…the potato salad I made with mayo yesterday came out good after it got cold in the fridge…before that it had a bitter taste that I thought was going to force me to dump it…but again, that could be my distorted taste that I hope the prescription will fix…think I’m going to hit the library for more books this morning since I only have two left and I’ll be through those before the weekend…my new beach lounger should be here today and I am a little excited to see if it will work for me…I know the water will never be warm enough to go swimming but I might just go and hang out on the beach for some color…more later…
Don’t get days like this all the time…
Well…when I get a day like today, I really need to make sure I smile and realize how good it was..I mean getting such a good checkup and having my doctor prescribing 4 pills that have the potential to give me my sense of taste back and I am really excited about that… and then making sourdough bread that I’m going to bake tomorrow…and driving over to DD and getting some bargains…and just driving the new car around made me smile…and I am going to celebrate with a cocktail or two after not having any for 3 days prepping for the checkup to get my BP down…and I got to see my regular doctor today and he seemed happy to see me as I was to see him…and I should sleep better tonight after having 3 nights of tossing and turning and sweating…I did do laundry and bedding so I’ll have a clean bed to sleep in…so, I’m going to enjoy tonight…I’m still smiling from today and I hope that continues tomorrow…time to dit on my butt for a while and do nothing….oh, and my laptop froze up completely and a nice man from India did a hard reset of it to get me going again…and sent me instructions so I can do it myself next time…
