Well…with the high winds today, I didn’t think I would be able to get outdoors on the bike but when I went out to try to figure out why the shifter was not adjusting right and figured it out, it was warm and it appeared that the wind was dying down some, so I got on the bike to try to get a ride in…probably shouldn’t have with the wind still blowing 20+ but it was out of the north so that makes a difference since it would be a cross wind all the way out and back…and the shifter worked perfectly all the way out and back but the adjuster will have to be replaced when I have to replace the cable at some point…found a used one in my bike part shelf downstairs that I can swap in so that was cool…didn’t get much else done today but grill some pork chops and it was darn yummy…but noe I need to do my teeth and set the coffee up for the morning….

Well…as every attempt to delay the idiot boys Monday trial have been swatted aside over the past couple of weeks, I sit here with my fingers crossed that his lawyers keep up the incompetency and the trial goes forward with jury selection Monday…I’m still laughing at the claims of “absolute immunity” and the idiot howling that if he doesn’t get immunity, every president can be charged with crimes…yeah, no…you actually have to commit crimes for that to happen and there were 45 other presidents that didn’t…and the idiot has to be there for the trial where he is charged with 33 felonies of committing business fraud to pay hush money before the 2016 election…from what I’ve read, they have him for these crimes and Michael Cohen was already put in prison for the same crimes so a conviction should be easy…but I don’t have a lot of confidence that he is going to get jail time for any conviction…as always he will appeal all the way to the SC and his toadies on the court just might let him off…not for any problem with the trial…they will make up law to protect him as they made up law to overturn Roe and allow corporate money to buy elections with Citizens United…it will still be interesting to watch and know he is a convict…and polling has said that people think these crimes are serious and even 10% of repubs say they won’t vote for him if he is convicted…we can only hope…geez…
April 12th
Well…slept all the way through the night til 5:34 this morning but I sure don’t feel like it…still pretty worn out and it is going to be a struggle to get going…I wonder when I’ll get back to normal and feel good again? It looks like no rides outdoors today with a gale watch on and winds from 20-30 and gusts to 40 all day…I can probably use a day off of 30+ miles to recharge…but I’m not too sore today after taking an ibuprofen last night…haven’t taken any all week…trying to stop taking that along with drinking to see how I really feel without any artificial masking…didn’t have any of the chills/sweating that have been plaguing me the past few nights so I hope they are over and it was just a reaction to the vaccine…didn’t eat a lot yesterday but a bowl of soup and a brat and I don’t think that is enough to support 30 miles on the bike…going to grill some pork chops on the grill today for lunch after I get two rides in downstairs…I am really looking forward to the warm up that starts Sunday…a few days in the 60′s and one day in the 70′s so I’ll need to carve out time to get the rest of the yard work done and get the front steps sprayed with the deck cleaner…not much to do today…just going to ride downstairs and then take the day easy and read a bit…and I need to get going in the next 15 minutes…more later…
Man, I’m exhausted…
Well…I’ve been exhausted all day and I’m not sure why that would be…had an idea that it may be the latest covid vaccination that I got less than a week ago and that might explain the alternating chills and sweats in bed trying to sleep…I did get 30 miles in on the bike today with two indoors and the weather giving me just enough time to get one in outdoors before it rained…the wind was blowing like crazy when I was coming back and I probably hurt myself doing it…I’ll know tomorrow…I did make some potato soup today and it came out great after I cut back on the celery and onions…very silky and potato flavored…refining the recipe as I have done with all of the soup I make…I may have to take it easy tomorrow if I feel like this again…it looks like a warm up is coming starting Sunday with temps back into the 60′s to near 70…I can’t wait to try the deck wash I bought that doesn’t need any scrubbing to get the algae off the front steps…really don’t want to do that crap anymore…

Well…it would be funny if it wasn’t so sick to see the repubs now start running away from abortion bans as they start to get what they wanted…after the fall of Roe, overturned by the lying right wing SC, they have been writing more and more draconion abortion bans across the red states..along with court opinions with the latest being the upholding of an 1865 law by the SC in Arizona that banned abortion and was written by one man, a misogynist asshole that serially abandoned 5 wives…I guess he would fit right in with the modern repubs…the sick thing is that the repubs are saying striking down roe didn’t matter since the states would protect women…tell that to women in red states who are dying because they can’t get necessary health care…and the hypocrite repubs are now decrying the Arizona decision, not for the reason that they believe women have any rights, but because they know that restriction of women’s rights is a political loser and will cost them in the fall election…and the cool thing is the Joe Biden is already pounding the repubs with ads targeting their hypocrisy and the danger of letting repubs get back into power…that is something I have been saying for a long time…that Joe need to hit the repubs and hard…and they got the message and have 130 million dollars in ad buys reserved while the idiot trump’s campaign has zero…keep it going, Joe…geez…

Well…that was a little better again but even only getting up once all night still leaves me pretty worn out this morning…and I had that weird shivers to sweating thing again last night and I wonder if it’s part of the re adjustment of my body after no cocktails for the third night in a row…had an okay day yesterday but only rode 34 miles since I wanted to get some yard work done but I won’t be riding outside today with rain forecast for the whole day and into tomorrow…just looked at the radar and the rain is all the way to southern Illinois…so that leaves me time today to just get two indoor rides in and then head over to the library to get three more books…then I guess I’ll clean some or make some potato soup again since I want to take some to my son Saturday…got some cheap pork chops yesterday and I think I may grill some today or tomorrow…and I’m going to make chicken Masala Sunday…and keep eating out of the freezer so I can fill it again…got enough ingredients to make two batches of Masala so I’ll be eating that all week…not much to do today…it is going to be a lighter day today with the rain keeping me inside but I do need to use the deck wash Sunday…supposed to get ride of the algae without scrubbing and the gallon of the wash was only 4 bucks…more later…

Well…revelations from the RFK jr. campaign the other day that every dem should listen to and act on it…his campaign manager came out and said the only reason he is still in the race is to help elect the idiot trump…and anyone who has been paying attention at all already knew that…every one of his donors are right wing billionaires and his advisors are the same…so why are “suburban women” thinking about about voting for him? You would think that with what has happened in this country after the fall of Roe, no women would ever vote for trump and any other right wing asshole…and let’s get this straight…RFK Jr. is a right wing asshole masquerading as a liberal or progressive…I’m going to be blunt to everyone out there..protest votes cost Al Gore the election and and helped elect the idiot trump last time and that is what will happen this year if people don’t get their heads out of their asses and vote for Joe…okay, I get it…Joe is old and I disagree with his support of Israel while they murder children in Gaza…but damn. if you protest vote you are voting for trump…that’s the whole of it…geez…
April 10th
Well…that was a little better…sill woke up a few times but the sleep in between was deeper and easier to get to and I hope that continues tonight…really felt like a proper detox with alternating chills and sweats all night and that is progress to me…but feel okay this morning and look forward to another busy day…bike ride then grocery run and then back on the bike and I’m going to try to get two rides in outdoors this afternoon for another 42 mile day and might even work on the yard a bit…I’ll at least get the outdoor water turned back on and drag the hoses out of the garage and it will be nice to have that available…but I need to try to repair one of them since it has a leak…I may just look for a nicer 100 foot one to buy instead of having crappy ones…I do have cooking to do the next few days and I’m going to make chicken masala Sunday along with grilling some pork chops that I need to marinate after I pick them up this morning…might make some potato soup to take to my son Saturday to go with the ham/vegetable soup I made last week…not much to do today…ha, that’s funny…going to be running starting with getting on the bike downstairs in a few minutes…more later….
Man, I’m worn out…
Well…okay, now I’m feeling the effects of not sleeping at all last night but I still couldn’t take a nap like I could in my 30′s and 40′s…so it will probably be an early night tonight and I’ll be in bed by 10 or so…I did get 4 rides in before noon for another day of 42 miles…there is something screwy with the shifter on the bike and I think it may be the cable starting to come apart in one of the sheaths they run through…it’s done that before but I want to hit it with a blast of water from the hose first when I turn the outdoor tap on and put a new valve on the outlet…then I can drag the hose out and wash it out to make sure I don’t replace a good cable…it was a little marginal with it only 53 when I went out but I survived it in shorts and riding gloves…but I may need to rethink spending 4 hours a day on the bikes…I have so much other stuff to do that needs to be done like raking the lawn and reseeding parts of it and it will need to be mowed in another week or so…and my front steps have turned green from algae so I need some deck wash and elbow grease…too damn much work to do…and this summer I’ll have to scrub the entire house again…ick….

Well…with everyone freaking out about the idiot trump raising 50 million dollars in one night, the only thing I have to say is where is the paperwork? There is no proof that he raised that much…no FEC filing, only idiot boy saying he raised that much money…and everyone in the world knows that idiot boy lies about everything…and I still have a beef with the media that just takes his word for it and prints the stories as if they are true…and they go back to this old saw…”how is trump raising 50 million dollars bad for Joe Biden?” Especially when we all know any money he raised is going to go to pay his legal bills…not for campaigning…just into his pocket and then he’ll milk the rubes for even more…don’t believe a word this liar says…geez…
