Well…have been sitting here thinking about some political stuff but just can’t get motivated to write about it…not sure if it is the no sleep, not eating right, or just general malaise, but I’m not sure what to do about it….so, I think I’ll just muse a little…the new trans oil is working out okay…much smoother shifts and I can get it into first gear at stoplights much easier….there is still something going on with one of my friends and I’m not sure what it is…or if I should care about it, really….consistent pattern but still irritating…at least today…this is the last day I’m going to think about it….did get a nice, long bike ride in today but the legs were dead the whole 15 miles and I think that points to not eating right….or enough….and, I have been good all week so that can’t be it….but, that ends tonight with it being a cocktail night…I do need a night of just pure relaxation to shut the brain off for a while….oh, one political thing…I just love the way that people are starting to push back on the right’s nonsense with the heads of the Benghazi commission being the latest to go after ole Issa…and the idea that he knows that these guys will crush him with the truth so he proposes that they be the only witnesses that testify in private? So he can manipulate what part of the truth gets out….what a maroon…geez…

May 16th
Well…it was a long day yesterday and the Wings lost bad…and I really did not enjoy going out to watch them so I think that will be it for me….NBC is going to kill the league by putting all the games on channels that only a few get and I won’t pay more to see it…slept like crap and I am worn out today…didn’t do a whole lot yesterday and today looks about the same other than doing the grocery run this morning…and cleaning around here…I am going to try to cook something new today since I am so bored with pork loins and chops…maybe something bad for me….that tastes good….more later…
Pushback against the thugs…
Well…just a short little one on the testimony that Eric Holder gave at the idiot Issa’s committee today…I know ole Darrell was thinking that he had an easy target to score points for the crazy assed right….but they didn’t count on Holder pushing back on this continuous nonsense that Issa especially has been doing…using his committee to waste money on all of these “investigations” that have not yielded one instance of wrongdoing by anyone…okay, back to the pushback…in the committee there was some heated exchanges and then Holder laid the smackdown on Issa…”…It is inappropriate and too consistent with the way in which you conduct yourself as a member of Congress. It’s unacceptable, and it’s shameful…” Let me add that it’s about time that everyone in the Obama administration treats these idiots as the partisan idiots that they are and stop caring what they think…Issa needs to get back to the work of the people…not his personal witch hunts and we can help him by telling him he is ridiculous whenever we get the chance…
May 15th
Well…running really late today and, if you checked earlier, you could see why…the servers were crashed again this morning and my son just got it back up and running again…it was an okay day yesterday but I was just so worn out all day…I think from not eating enough and the lack of sleep….feel much better today and did a long bike ride to celebrate…I did get the new trans oil in the Miata yesterday but took about half the skin off my right forearm trying to get the fill plug out…ended up taking out the back up light switch and using that for a fill hole…looks like it worked since it took all 2 quarts and the trans has not fallen out after a drive…and the oil is pretty good, shifting slicker already and should get better…but, at 45 bucks for 2 quarts, it should cook me breakfast…I am starting to get excited about the Wings game tonight but will have to go out to watch it since I don’t get the damn NBC channel it’s on…keep this crap up and they are going to kill the NHL….might be okay to get out around people….more later…
The only thing you need to know about the IRS “scandal”
Well…the repubs have raised hypocrisy to an even new level over the past couple of days with their insistence that the IRS scrutinizing some right wing non profits is the same as Watergate…and Obama should be impeached….yada, yada…what the hell is it with these guys? I really hate to bring up ole GW since he is better off unseen and unheard, but not one repub said a word when progressive groups were targeted when ole GW was in office…and, the head of the IRS during these operations that the repubs are bitching so much about was a GW appointee….this crap is nothing more than a continuation of the throw everything at Obama with as much pretend outrage as they can muster and hope that no one notices they aren’t doing one damn thing to help put people back to work or to solve the college loan crisis or, or, or…and on and on….what a bunch of idiots…geez…
May 14th
Well…running late again today and I do feel like crap from the damn allergies today and from not eating enough yesterday….I did get the chance to go out and meet up with C for a couple but that was really the extent of the day…slept like crap last night…not going down until 12:30 and the back up at 4:30….so that doesn’t help, either….I did get the car detailed yesterday but then it’s covered in pollen again today so what’s the point? I am going to go out and try to find the super gear lube from Ford to change the oil in the trans and it is going to hurt at 20 bucks a quart…or more…might even try to get it done today depending on how I feel later…but I still need to work out and ride so I should get to it…more later…
Darrell Issa is still an idiot…
Well…my jaw just dropped today when I read about the reason that ole Darrell thinks the whole nothing of Benghazi is so important…and it comes down to only 5 words…he is so hot after Obama because Obama called the attack an “act of terror” and not a “terrorist attack”…yep, this idiot is spending millions of dollars and wasting the time of the house just because he didn’t like the way that Obama described the attack and nothing more…there is no “coverup” there is nothing there and yet this moron just keeps it up even when the author of the report on Benghazi called him a liar on tv this weekend and destroyed every allegation ole Darrell has made….I, for one, have had enough of this crap…how many people could have been fed with the money he has wasted…how many kids could have been given a free college education with this money? Just shut the hell up Darrell and do some real work for a change…geez…
May 13th
Well…running really late for a Monday and I am going to blame it on the Wings…stayed up for the whole game and didn’t get to bed until around 1:30….and back up at 7:30 so I am tired today….slept okay but nowhere near enough with it being a cocktail night…oh, and the Wings won! So, we go on to Chicago wed….yesterday was just too long for me…didn’t get a nap either so I’m not sure how today is going to be…I do need to meet up with C later in the day and wash the car…okay…I do need to work out and get the bike ride in since I was lazy yesterday…more later…
Let’s Go Red Wings!
Well…it has been an exciting first series for the Wings and today, we are looking at a game 7 with the Ducks and I am starting to get excited even though the game is still 6 1/2 hours away…yeah, those damn 10 o’clock starts are killing me and screwing up my cocktail nights…it has been a pretty good series so far but we could have ended it earlier if it wasn’t for some stupid mistakes but exciting anyway…and Hank hs been the best player for the Wings and has carried the team for the past couple of weeks…I just hope he has one more in him for tonight…or that someone else steps up and gives him a hand….they have been playing better and better as the series has gone on so I guess I can hold my breath for one more…even going to skip “Mad Men” to watch it..and no, I don’t have one of those fancy dvr’s that would be of great use right now…one thing left to say: Let’s Go Red Wings!!
The stealth bike returns…
Well…as you know, I’ve been chasing an annoying squeak in the bike for the past couple of weeks, culminating in me tearing the entire rear suspension off to clean it and re-lube it to try to get rid of the damn noise…it was so loud that people were turning to look from 50 yds away…so, after I took the entire back of the bike off and re-assembled it, I leaned on the seat and it was still there…damn…so then, I went at the front of the bike and tore that apart…and, eureka….I found the noise in the clamp that holds the handlebar on…so, I lubed it, put the whole thing back together and the stealth bike is back! Now, all I have to do is get a fiberglass kit to work on the seat post since I broke the JB weld today…oh, well…I do need something to do…
