Well…damn, I feel old this morning…I’m sore and sunburned and exhausted and I’m not sure if the coffee is going to help…but I just poured the first cup and haven’t given it a chance yet…it’s supposed to rain today but the spitting is almost over until after noon so I’ll be able to get out on the bike as soon as it gets light but I’m not sure if I have the energy for it right now…it would be so nice to have more than one hour of rain every month…just the sound of it and the ending of this stifling humidity would be welcome but it doesn’t rain here ever…oh, well…did the grocery run yesterday so I’m set for food until next week or longer…going to make potato salad today along with a blt and maybe some chicken thighs…I do need to clean this place up today and continue working on the windows but I really need a day off to lounge a bit…it’s still ridiculously humid here and I’m pretty sticky even with only being up an hour or so…another morning of getting out of bed by 5:33 and I really want to sleep more after tossing and turning all night…only had a dog and a turkey sandwich to eat yesterday and I’m still under 1K calories daily but without taste, that’s the best I can do…not much to do today…just need to get jump started and on the bike by 7 but that looks like a steep hill to climb right now…more later…

Well…after I got the rides in and had the danger freckle removed, I did the grocery run and then out to the beach for the second day in  a row water was good again and I got a good swim in…but the divot they took out of my forehead hurt like crazy when I got it wet…so I hit it with some antibiotic gel when I got home and it’s okay now…I’m really loving the new, small chair for the beach and I ordered a new black beach bag to carry my stuff down to the beach…lots of pockets and zippers and cup holders and even an extra waterproof bag to put the electronics in…and that should be here tomorrow so I can use it Friday…I did get scorched again today with no sunscreen on again but I was only out there for an hour and change…okay, need to get ready for some tv and cocktails….

Well…that kind of sucked..up and down all night and then out of bed at 5:33..but I feel okay so I’ll take it…didn’t do a lot in the heat yesterday and it’s going to be a little cooler today and it may even rain a bit later…ha,ha…yeah, it doesn’t rain here ever…twice in two months? But the weather widget says an inch of rain Thursday and again, I’ll believe it when I see it…going down to 25 miles a day has helped my body heal and I think I’ll keep that going for another week or so…I am going to do that before I go to the doctor appointment at 10am then I think I’ doing the grocery run right after that….need to remember ginger so I can make Masala later in the week…and the piece I got last week spoiled…will be out on the bike before 7am again and will have two rides in by 9 or so…and it appears that the wind has died down and that will make for nice rides today…then I need to clean more windows….there was a huge line of storms that stalled out over the lake overnight and then just disappeared…and the Muskegon force field works again…not much to do today…just the surgery and then groceries and then I’ll wing it the rest of the day….more later…

Well…another day of not doing much but ride the bike…I did get a beach run in and the water was warm enough to swim and that made me grin and I spent a good half hour in the water…the big lounger was a little to hard to get into and out of the car so I bought a small beach chair that reclines and has a cup holder that fits in the trunk…much easier and really comfortable since it’s fabric is mesh so lots of airflow…and easy to get into and out of and it has arms on it, too so it’s a pretty darn nice chair…the rip and undertow was pretty bad so it was hard to get out of the water when I was done…and I ended up 100 yards to the north playing in the waves…but it was too damn hot to do much else so all I did was sit with the fan on me and read….might go back out to the beach again tomorrow after I get the danger freckle removed at 10am….I probably should do the grocery list done in case I want to hit Meijers tomorrow since my doctor’s office is only a half mile away from it…time for tv…no cocktails tonight…darn….

Well…I really feel like crap today and it must be from not eating enough….only had about 600 calories yesterday and that is not enough to support doing 25 miles on the bike…at least the wind has calmed down so the rides should be a little easier today…I’m so damn worn out this morning that it is going to be a chore to get on the bike here in 20 minutes or so…thinking of going to the beach today just to see if the water is warm enough to swim but there is a beach hazard warning on for rip currents….and I have seen bad ones out here…I guess we’ll see…didn’t get a damn thing done yesterday and today will be the same…going to get more windows done later and a little more reading and I do need to figure out what meals I’m going to have since I’m not doing too well on getting enough calories…going to have the danger freckle removed tomorrow morning and I’m going to have them look at the coating on my tongue since it’s still there after the treatment…damn, getting old is harder than it looks….more later…crap, sweating like crazy already….

Well…with the heat and humidity here today, I took a lazy day after I got two rides in early this morning…I did read an entire book and started another one this aft and that fit keeping the exertion level down…didn’t even do any more windows today since I was soaked doing the 5 I did yesterday…didn’t even want to eat so all I had today was a turkey sandwich and an ear of corn…but that was enough for such a low energy day…we have gone from cold straight into summer and it looks like 80’s for the next 10 days at least…should probably do some meal planning tomorrow and get something out of the freezer to cook later…I am planning on going to the beach tomorrow after the rides…and start to get some color since my hands are white and look pretty funny…okay, back to the race….

Well…damn, that was a day yesterday with the wind blowing like crazy all day…not sure if I’ve ever seen that before but it’s better today so I’ll be out on the bike as soon as it gets light…still will probably only do 25 miles as the wind picks up again…pretty damn tired this morning with getting up at 4 and the out of bed at 5:40…forgot to set the coffee maker up last night and that was a lot of work to do it when I got up….up to 612 days in a row on the bike and I think the goal is now to get to 1,000 or more….it is so damn humid here right now that I am sweating just sitting here so I’ll be soaked when I get off the bike….it’s going to be a difficult week for weather with it almost 90 every day…and it’s almost 75 at 6:15 so there is nowhere to go but up…not sure what I’m going to do today and I should do more windows but I may just shift into survival mode with the heat…not sure what I’m going to eat today but I know I’m not going to cook…maybe a turkey sandwich and a dog…who knows? Well…starting this morning, the wind has been blowing like crazy out here and we have had gusts of 60mph along with the steady 30 mph wind…and it is HOT outside with a heat index of 101…and I’ll be picking up branches in the yard tomorrow…I did get 5 windows cleaned and shiny and I have all of them open using the wind to try to cool this joint off…it’s a little funny that the first day of summer would be so hot and it’s going to stay that way until Thurs or so…maybe this heat will warm Lake Michigan up so I can get a swim in later in the week…I am going to the beach Monday so I’ll give it a try then….the wind was brutal on the bike rides this morning and I only did two of them it was so bad…will have to get back to 3 rides a day soon or I know I’m going to feel like a slug…have the big fan on as fast as it goes and I’ll have to put the small fan on me in my bedroom to be able to sleep at all…okay, end of a race and then some tv…

Well…up at 5:45 this morning and the wind is already blowing like crazy so the rides are going to be a lot of effort…there is a heat advisory on for today with the temp getting up to almost 90 and lots of humidity so the fans will be running today…but right now the breeze feels good in here and the coffee needs to work so I can get going…I should think about buying a new AC unit for my bedroom window but I think I’ll just leave the window open…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I should clean windows today to open this joint up with how hot it’s going to be for the next week….not sure what food I’m going to have this weekend…have bacon for a blt and I thawed some smoked turkey to make a sandwich with lettuce and tomato…and I still have corn on the cob and potato salad so I won’t starve…just got a high wind warning on my weather widget so I need to get out here soon…not much to do today…just need to get the coffee down and get moving…more later…

Well…you know getting old is not for the faint hearted…when I got on the bike early today, every damn part of me hurt and I couldn’t believe it was just from doing some yard work yesterday…my right hip hurt so bad that I thought I was going to have to turn around and skip the rides…and my right tricep howled the whole time…hit the library for new books and then ran some  errands and I think I’m getting the new car figured out…it drives so differently than the old one but I actually had fun just fooling around with it…it looks like we have a heat wave coming for the first day of summer tomorrow and all next week…87 for highs so I am going to  hit the beach Monday…the wind is going to be nuts over the weekend blowing 20-30 with gusts of 50 so I’ll have to be out on the bike at first light to avoid them…or do indoor rides but I’d rather ride outdoors…okay, time for some tv…
