Well…okay, not sure if it’s the new pillows or not but I didn’t get up until 6:36 this morning and that is an hour later than the new normal…and my neck doesn’t hurt too much so that’s maybe another plus…I did sleep okay, too with not too much tossing and turning but that might have been from not sleeping too well over the past week or so…we’ll see tonight…I am getting a little stressed out about the procedure Monday but I think it’s more the prep for it than anything else…and thinking they might find something is starting to add to the stress…and colon cancer can just be there with no symptoms so I guess I should look at it that way…let’s just find out and go from there….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I will need to clean today to get a start on the weekend…don’t really have a lot to do but I don’t want to have anything to do Sunday when I’m prepping…I may have lunch with T today but I have to remember the no fiber diet I’m on and try to keep it…I really don’t want to screw up the test so I have to do another one….more later….

Well…it has been a little bit of a weird day with T cancelling so she could get some rest…and with her schedule, I don’t blame her one bit. But, that’s not what this is about…it’s about the screaming bargain I got on pillows at Kohl’s today. Every Thursday, I pick up the Free Press when grocery shopping and today they had an ad for Kohl’s in it…and, in the ad, they had pillows on sale for 2.99 each that are regularly priced at 12 dollars each…so, I picked up 4 of them and got an even bigger deal at the register…my total for the 4 pillows was $10.30 so they were only a little over 2 bucks each. Now, they may not be the best pillows in the world, but damn…only 10 bucks? Couldn’t pass that up….can’t wait to try them tonight….

Well…finally on time today with getting out to do a small grocery run…going to be on this restricted diet until Monday so there was not much I could buy or that I needed…still spent 40 bucks and that is a little disappointing….slept okay last night but was still up at 5:39 that will be 6:39 after the time change….I did get a nice bike ride done yesterday in shorts but today will be back to thermasuit since the high is only going to be 48 and that is too cold for shorts and no gloves…I did have a pleasant surprise with the BP this morning when I got a reading of 97/74 that I thought must have been a mistake so I took it again and got 113/74 and that was closer to what I thought it should be…and that is the lowest it has been since I got my machine so I am not going to worry about it anymore…I did have to buy the prep stuff for my test on Monday and that set me back over 30 bucks…I just want it to be over…and the really nasty stuff won’t even happen until Sunday night…I do have a tentative meeting with T for this aft but, with her schedule, who knows? Well…slept all the way in til 6:03 this morning…okay, I did wake up at 5:23 but didn’t get out of bed until after 6 so that counts, right? I did sleep okay but have been feeling worn out a little lately and I’m not sure why…oh, well…I did have my lowest blood pressure reading since I got my machine a few minutes ago with a 110/74 and that makes the next goal to get it back into single digits where it always was before I got old…didn’t get much done yesterday but wash the bike and clean a little around here but I do need to get over to Meijers this morning to get the prep stuff for the procedure Monday…went over yesterday but they had to re-order the prescription stuff since they didn’t have it…so that will be after the bike ride that I think I may be able to do in shorts one last time since it is already almost 50…just need to wait for the rain to stop…then I need to start to clean this place up…but much later…on the first cup of coffee and need it to work first…more later…

Well…the new normal reared it’s ugly head again this morning with getting up at 5:30 but it took almost an hour to get here after needing a glass of water and to read the news some…the tendonitis that I normally have just showed up for the first time this year in my right elbow and it hurts like crazy this morning…I wonder if it’s related to having to pull on the brake lever so hard on the bike…and, I’ve had cramps in my right calf the past couple of days, too, but I think that’s from not eating enough so I can try to fix that today…I did have a nice drive back from pool yesterday, which I think I won, with the top down but it was raining on the way out and I didn’t mind it being warm in the car with the top up….the new plugs have made the car run so good I wonder why I didn’t put them in earlier…hmmm….didn’t get anything else done yesterday so I’ll have to do better today…the fridge still needs to be done so I am going to try, for the 5th time, to clean it today…more later….

Well…as I said yesterday, I’m not going to bitch about how I sleep anymore…so I won’t…okay, one last bitch…was up at 6:01 this morning…is that a bitch? Not sure…I do know that I have been sore as hell the past few days and I am wondering if taking the day off the bike yesterday will help that…I know I could just take some ibuprofen and that takes care of most of it but then what would I have to report here? That everything is sunny and happy and there are rainbows with kittens dancing around them? As you know, that won’t happen…even though I’m pretty happy most of the time…I wonder how people my age get along when they aren’t? Hmmmm….have been draining the battery on my computer to see how long it will last under normal use the past day and, after a day, it still has 74% of the battery left…what that means I’m not sure but I was curious and bored so that gave me something to do…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but watch sports and Man U finally won a game so that was cool…and I probably won’t get much done today with pool this aft…it will be nice to get out of here for a while…more later…

Well…have a half hour before I get to have my one and only cocktail so I thought I’d come here and do one of these while I wait…it was a typical Sunday today but I did clean my oven after I spilled in it cooking lunch…found out the gloves I bought to use for cleaning it are about worthless….they didn’t rip or leak but they must have let the caustic through by osmosis or something because my hands feel like they are burned again just like the last time I cleaned the oven…I think I’ll have to splurge and buy a pair that are much thicker….don’t want to keep peeling the skin off my hands…and it may help to go back to the regular strength cleaner since I never peeled my skin off using it…other than that, it was just the normal sports all day and mostly just vegging and I’m not too guilty about that…a little, but not too much….no more later….

Well…forced myself to stay in bed until after 6 this morning just trying to get a little more sleep…if didn’t work but I had to try something…don’t feel too bad this morning even with the crappy sleep so I guess I shouldn’t bitch too much…didn’t get much done yesterday other than cleaning the shower…had to try some new cleaning stuff I got Thursday…yep, that’s my life now…being excited about new, foaming cleaner for my shower…oh, well…I am going to clean my fridge today and maybe even the oven but I might not….it looks like I won’t be on the bike today with rain starting in a few minutes and going most of the day but I may be able to carve out an hour to do a short one…just have to keep watching the radar…there are lots of sports on today that could provide a distraction from the boredom but I’m not sure about watching Man U at noon…they have been really terrible and hard to watch so I may watch the Lions lose instead….more later…

Well…out on the bike today and noticed something a little strange that I have never seen in my long life…there are no nuts this year. Usually, there are many spots along the trail where I have to dodge walnuts about this time of the year but this year, not one….and that goes for the two spots where I picked up bags of hickory nuts last year…no nuts at all on the ground or on the trees…I wonder what the cause is? This is just too weird….

Well…damn, stayed in bed until 6:12 this morning…some kind of a new record for how I’ve been sleeping lately…but, I did wake up at 5:14 so I guess maybe it isn’t a record….had an okay day yesterday but only got the cobweb patrol done so I’ll have to do more today…had a problem with the shifter on the bike but got that figured out and had a nice ride…I did remember to take some ibuprofen before I went out and that made a huge difference with the pain in my neck so I guess I’ll do that again today…but, that will have to wait for a little while since there is some rain out there and I don’t want to get wet with it only 40 degrees out…I do have to clean today and just need a little jump start to make that happen…and I will be distracted with some sports…but, Michigan has a bye week so that makes it a little easier….more later….
