Well…it was a long day yesterday but I won at pool so that was okay…and I did get the new glasses so I can see really well now…didn’t know that I needed stronger ones until I got to the store and compared the old ones with the new ones…all the way up to 1.25 magnification…yeah, I know, that’s still not much when they go up to 3 so I guess I shouldn’t feel that bad about it…I feel a little crappy today since the pain that has been in my left neck has moved to the right now….I could say that it is a pain in the neck but that is just too bad of a pun…it looks like a normal day today with working out in a bit along with the bike ride and I am going to take it a little easy to heal up some….so, I’ll be back later for another one…I am behind again…

June 10th
Well…it was an interesting day yesterday and I had lots of stuff to do so that made the day go by really quickly…went to T’s son’s graduation party and I’m glad I went…she was really happy that I came and I got the chance to meet T’s brother and hang out with her parents for a while…I now really know where she gets her oddness…but, that oddness is a good thing…then, I met up with the twins over at Rose’s for a couple…I can’t believe I’ve driven my new car over 600 miles already…I did break my glasses a couple of days back and need to go out this morning and get a couple of new pairs…was waiting for them to go on sale and they are now so I can get two for the price of one….I do have things to do today…it’s only about 8:20 and I am getting ready to get on the bike already and then, out to shoot pool this aft….I may have to use the air in the car today…it’s going to be 90…yow…more later…
The rantings of a crazy man…
Well….this is just going to be a short one on something that struck me as funny out on the bike ride…why don’t you get to keep your minutes on your cell phone if you don’t use them all? The corner gas station doesn’t come and siphon the unused gas out of your car at the end of the month, the grocery store doesn’t come and take the unused food out of your fridge at the end of the month, so why can the phone companies take back your minutes? Just asking….
June 9th
Well….have been up since about 6, and that is way better than 4, so I do feel a little better today and thought I’d get this one out before I get out on the bike…want to go early before the heat and wind come up and it is just fun to be out by 8:30…nope…it’s 8:30 now so I will be a little later….I did put the top down on the car to go over for the papers this morning and that did make me smile a bit….not sure what I’m going to do today but might be hanging out with the twins for a while…I did get a pork loin in the the slow cooker at about 7 so that is something to look forward to…I hope it has some flavor since I have only been able to stomach heavily flavored foods for quite a while now….that’s about it for now….need to get on the bike and do 30….more later…
No political one…
Well…it was a day today that was almost completely gray…it should have been fun…driving the new car out to GH to look at the water with the top down with good music playing…but I feel just so flat, so lifeless that I couldn’t enjoy anything today. And, it continues now…I broke my reading glasses and now they are held together with the leftover duct tape from the old car and that is how I feel today…like I’m held together with duct tape and it could unravel at any time….I know it’s temporary but I am getting so tired of never smiling, of never getting that feeling in your chest when life is just good and you want more of it…so, tonight will be a cocktail night and I’ll lick the wounds and try to start again tomorrow….and try to live up to my potential…I know, a weird thing to say for someone my age…
June 8th
Well…it was a day yesterday with getting the new speakers for the car and new wipers….that completed what I wanted to do for it right now so now all I have to do is drive it….slept okay last night but I am still worn out so it will be a slow day today…I do need to figure out what to do so I am going to go back to the couch and drink some water…not really feeling it right now…there is something that is gnawing on me but I haven’t figured it out yet so I need to do some mulling….
A few things…
Well…amid all the doom and gloom over Scott Walker keep the gov’s seat in Wisconsin…one thing was lost in the coverage…that the dems took control of the Senate there which basically shuts down the right wing, billionaire bought agenda of the Koch brothers….they did save the office for him and the Citizens United decision allowed the right to raise and spend over 60 million dollars to around 4 for the democratic challenger since the repubs rigged the fundraising laws that would make sure any challenger would not be able to compete…just like the repubs are trying to rig elections all over the country. I don’t for one minute believe that the majority on the supreme court didn’t know that this would happen…I think they knew that most of the billionaires are repubs and would advance the repub causes across the country…a frankly cynical ploy that makes all of the conservative justices unfit for office….but, as I have always said…when the repubs can’t win elections fair and square, they will always lie, cheat, and steal to get their way…they are as un-American as you can get…geez…
June 7th
Well…another night of 4 hours of sleep and this is getting to be annoying…it’s a little after 5 and I don’t have anything to do so I thought I’d just sit here an think for a while…I did have a dream last night that was just a short snippet but it involved lightning and was kind of scary….but, other than that, nothing, and that is normally how it works when I’m not sleeping…I may have to go with the otc sleeping pills again for a while since I am exhausted and just can’t keep this up…It was a good day yesterday with figuring out the headrest speakers on the car but now I have to decide what to do about them…I may go out and look for some new ones today but it is Thursday and grocery run day so I may have to wait until tomorrow…although, I was planning on making a GH run tomorrow with the top down so I may have to re think….I will be back with a political one later in the morning since I’m up so early….more later…
Okay…just a little update on the happenings of the morning…I decided to go out and look at speakers since the rattle behind my ear was starting to really annoy me and found a set at Best Buy for half price…only 28 bucks for a 4 inch two way pair that are rated at 200 watts….and it took me about 2 minutes to install them…they barely fit, though, and I may take it back apart and cut the mounting tabs off them since they are not necessary…with those speakers, the car is now complete and I can run the stereo as loud as I want…when you get it up there now the whole seat vibrates with the bass and it feels really cool….
Have to talk about Wisconsin…
Well…it was a sad day yesterday when the dems couldn’t even beat the idiot Scott Walker and I am starting to get concerned that they are bringing a knife to a gun fight with the amounts of money that the billionaires have spent to get their puppets elected across the country. But, it’s no one’s fault but the dems who have not come up with any new ideas to fight the money or to raise the money to match from the left….the worst thing about the whole deal over there is now the repubs will be crowing about defeating labor and will continue to gut the middle class since they have been so successful at it for the past few years…more and more nonsense that the people just seem to eat up….I can’t figure it out…geez…
June 6th
Well…it was a long night last night with no sleep at all…have been up since 4 and with this being two days in a row of this, I am really worn out today…and disappointed about the Wisconsin election yesterday…but, life goes on and I need to get over it…another example of the toxic damage that unlimited money is doing to the country…but, that’s not for here….I was going to go out and hit some golf balls today but I’m not sure…I think I’ll just play it by ear today…I do need to get some different sunscreen for the car…maybe some of the spray on clear stuff….more later….
Okay…just found out a cool thing about my car…one of the speakers in the headrest is going bad and I thought it was going to be a huge project to replace it…well…it has a zipper that you unzip to get to the speakers and you can take them out in about 30 seconds…so, I’m going to look for speakers this week and get it replaced…yay…
