Well…as you know, I had been prepping the garage for painting today with the new sprayer I bought for the job…all I have to say is that it sucked to say the least…couldn’t get it stable and adjusted correctly at all…when I did, it would work for a minute and then puke an un-atomized stream of paint that would then turn into a run that looked like hell…so, after about half of one side of the garage I said enough and quit…I even took my hose and washed the paint off it looked so crappy….so I wasted a half gallon of paint for nothing and I still have to get out the brushes and roller and spend a few days painting it by hand…but it will surely look better than it did…crap…

July 13th
Well…I wonder how long I can go on with only 3 hours of sleep a night? Last night was three in a row and I have started to feel that familiar low level fatigue where I need to shift into low gear and just ride it out…and that is going to be hard to do with the huge project of painting the garage today…well…I don’t know how huge it’s going to be until I get started with the new spray gun after the first ride of the day…the jar only holds about a half quart so that will need filling lots of times…but, it has been so long since I’ve used an electric sprayer I don’t remember how much paint it takes to cover…I’m guessing it’s going to be a three hour project at least but, even at that, I should have it done by noon or so if the sprayer holds up….took my first allergy meds in almost a month last night since they have gotten pretty bad over the past couple of days but I don’t see that they are helping much and I wonder if they need to build up a bit over time to be effective? My toe still doesn’t hurt…oh, wasn’t going to talk about that any more…my foot is almost back to normal but I’ll be on it all day today so I’m expecting it to swell up a bit but I can elevate it while I watch the Man U match at 3 so that should help…not much to do today…yeah, I laughed at that one, too…painting a garage is much to do and I have laundry to do too…and I used up all the leftovers yesterday so I need to cook for lunch…so, it’s going to be a busy one…more later…oh, I’ll do a project update later today along with a political one on Betsy DeVos trying to murder our children…
July 12th
Well…holy crap…I just noticed that I hadn’t come here for one today and I am freaking out…have been so damn busy today even with only doing 1 ride today…had to go out to HF to get another paint sprayer since the first one didn’t work at all and then I put in a couple of hours prepping and masking off the garage to get ready to paint tomorrow…then I was going to do a political one and noticed I hadn’t come here yet…that sometimes happens on Sundays since it is the only day I get a newspaper and that breaks up my normal routine…so, let’s get back to it…slept really crappy last night with only getting about 4 hours of sleep over the 6 hours I was in bed so I do feel a little off today….but I knew I had to do the garage so I just gutted it out but I need some veg time for a while to get some more water in me….I did try the electrolyte pack that my daughter sent me before the bike but I think I’ll need a few more days of drinking them before I’ll notice anything….and with only doing one ride tomorrow, too…it will probably be later in the week before I’ll see any effect….I do need to clean and lube the bike today but I am going to wait a while to get to that…just kind of tired right now and want to watch some of the indycar race…more later….
Just can’t do it…
Well….have been thinking about politics and the criminal who squats his fat ass in the WH all day today and it is making me be less tolerant of people so I am going to take a break from politics for today and let my brain have a rest…so what to talk about? I did get to 2800 miles today and felt good enough on the bike to go hard on the second ride which never happens…I wonder if that had to to with the bagel with cream cheese and second cup of coffee I had before I went out? I did get the lawn mowed today and my damn mowing shoes fell apart again and I just fixed them yesterday..so yes, I am going to have to buy some new ones to work around here in…I do have a pair of van’s that my youngest son outgrew before he wore them out and they are my size so maybe those could be the new work shoes? I’d have to find them in the bags downstairs…maybe I’ll do that after I finish this one….I do have to start getting the garage masked off for painting Monday but I think I’ll do that tomorrow…I only have three windows to do and some brick on the front so that shouldn’t take long…then I’m just going to use a roll of black plastic sheeting I found in the garage to protect the shingles as I paint the gutters and the lower part of the siding…and then the paint will have two days to dry before the next rain wed….probably should get out the instructions for the sprayer and read them in the next day or so and understand what I have to do to get the paint viscosity right so the sprayer can spray it…but right now I’m going to veg out for a bit and watch some races and take a nap…maybe more later….
July 11th
Well…got all the way to coffee o’clock this morning and I think it was the cooler weather that did it…finally didn’t have to have a fan on to sleep last night and that was a relief….but I still feel worn out this morning and the time off the bike I was looking forward to didn’t happen even with the rain so I need to start thinking about taking a day to heal up soon….my toe doesn’t hurt for the 6th day in a row so I’m going to stop talking about it…not sure how I fixed it other than all the damn water I’ve been drinking so I think I’ll keep that up just in case that is the reason….didn’t get much done yesterday but I think I’ll mow the lawn today…had to fix my work shoes with almost half a bottle of adhesive so I think I may need to try to find some clearance ones on sale at Meijers that I can actually just wear instead of fixing them all the time….think I’ll do that this week with the grocery run…and I need to hit target for some new towels since the ones I’m using are 15 years old and falling apart too…I do need to spend some money on essentials over the next couple of weeks…could really use some new pillows to help me sleep better and I think I can afford more than 5 bucks for them….not much to do today….just going to ride and fool around outside and then watch all the racing that is on starting with F1 qualifying in about an hour and that means I need to get moving soon….more later…
Biden needs to restore the separation of church and state…
Well….with all the damage that idiot boy and his cronies have done to this country, it is going to be a huge job for Joe Biden and his team to clean up the mess…and one bit of damage that I haven’t heard mentioned is the restoration of the separation of church and state as the founders of this country intended…and that has been shattered by every damn department of the idiot boy’s government. The latest coming from the trump supreme court last week is that it is perfectly fine for employers to control the women that work for them by denying them contraceptive coverage in their healthcare…and all the employers have to do is shout “religious objection” and they can drop that coverage…and with the bailout in response to the coronavirus pandemic, trump and his conspirators gave 1.4 billion dollars to the Catholic church free and clear even though they have never paid a dime in taxes so why do they need to be bailed out? The attack on the constitution continues with the moron betsy devos giving money hand over fist to private schools that support her brand of religious belief that puts profit above everything else and rewards crony capitalism every damn day as she bleeds public schools of the money they need to educate the large majority of kids that attend them in this country. Cripes, Joe…it looks like you are going to have the biggest restoration project in the history of this country so we really do need to take the senate in November…and tell moscow mitch to sit the hell down…
July 10th
Well…that sucked…another day of 6 hours with no power from a storm that it barely rained and lasted for about 5 minutes…at least it’s raining now and it’s still on…for now…one good thing is that I couldn’t cook indoors so I grilled a couple of marinated pork chops and they were really good…and having a beer and watching food cook is something I’ve waited for since I moved in here…I may just have to spend 150 bucks and buy a grill….and then kill myself with colon cancer from eating grilled food…oh, well…slept pretty crappy last night tossing and turning and it is so funny that I have been waking up at exactly the same time for almost a week now…3:40am and then trying to get back to sleep that never really works…so, I’m a little slow this morning but I am into 5 days in a row with no pain in my toe so I’ll take that….my foot is still puffy but better and I just talked to my daughter and she is sending me a bunch of electrolyte mixes that she thinks I need with doing so much on the bike and that will be interesting to try….didn’t get anything done yesterday but I do need to work on the downstairs project today…damn, it looks like it stopped raining so maybe I will do two rides today…but no hurry…going to relax a little and have more coffee first…don’t really have much to do so I have to remember that I don’t need to hurry….more later….
Trump really IS going to jail after his term…
Well…with the supreme court ruling this morning that trump does not have the “absolute immunity” that he claimed in legal filings trying to hide his financial records, it really does look like he is going to be indicted as soon as he is out of office. Let’s remember that this case deals with state charges of fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes that trump can’t be pardoned for and Deutsche Bank has already started the record dump to Cy Vance in NYC and the grand jury that will be delivering the charges in the case. The 7-2 decision wasn’t even close and even trump’s hand picked toadies, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh voted with the majority that trump is not a king and there is no person in the US who is above the law. Now, one thing that the SC did that I find troubling is not ordering the records to be released today but sending the cases back to the district courts for matters of separation of powers questions but that means they are going back to courts that trump has lost in every case so the rulings can’t reverse what the SC has said today. This means that we probably won’t see the records until after the election but the prosecutors and grand juries will, and as I’ve said before, there are going to be many jurisdictions who will be ready to press charges on the day that trump leaves office…and that means the rest of trump’s life is going to be the same hell that he has put the entire country in…oh, and let’s remember one more little thing that happened last week… Deutsche bank paid a 150 million dollar fine for helping Jeffrey Epstein launder money through the bank…want to bet that they were doing the same thing for trump? And that evidence will be included in the records that CY Vance will have today? Idiot boy is well and truly screwed…finally…and he is going to prison…
July 9th
Well….another 3:40 morning today and that has left me a little worn out already…I did get back to sleep until almost 6 but I had the lost car dream again which was really weird until I figured out it was just a dream and woke up…my toe has a little twinge of pain in it this morning but I think that’s from having pressure on it when I was in bed and I hope it will work out as the day goes on….I am really getting disappointed with the yield from my gardens this year since it looks like my beans are already done producing fruit with only two meals out of the 5 plants I have….they were supposed to produce fruit all summer and that is pretty disappointing…and that goes for the green peppers and jalpenos….didn’t get one green pepper and the jalpenos appear to be done too with only about a dozen of them off 7 plants….the tomatoes don’t look much better and all the work of getting them in downstairs to push for ripe ones by the end of July seems to be a bust…I’m pretty sure I didn’t prep the soil enough and will do better when I get my own house….I do have one of the squirrel planted sunflowers that is blooming out front and that makes me a little happy and the rest of the flowers I planted out front bloomed too so that is cool…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and it looks like I won’t do much today with Man U playing this afternoon and the possibility of storms around 1 or so…I do need to run out and get some more food for the gardens since I’m out and barely had enough to feed yesterday…that may have something to do with the disappointing gardens…I should clean some but, with this heat, the bike rides are taking everything out of me and I don’t have much left to do anything…more later…

Well….cripes do they have a mega sized backhoe at the WH? It seems that way after they keep going lower and lower in their depravity and absolute disregard for human life…we’ve seen that with the idiot’s inaction and incompetence that has cost thousands of lives so far…but that wasn’t enough for the ghouls idiot boy has surrounded himself with. Their latest attack on Americans is aimed directly at the most vulnerable of us, our children, with trump and betsy devos saying they will withhold federal funds to any state that doesn’t “open” their schools at the normal time this fall…how much more evidence does anyone need that trump and his cronies WANT to kill our children…it doesn’t matter to them that in many states (red ones) there is an uncontrolled outbreak of coronavirus and there is no damn way that schools can be opened safely until the virus is under control…but they don’t care, they think that opening schools will give them the talking point that “hey look, we’re back to normal” and help trump get re-elected…and that is what this is all about, not that it would be good for kids to get back to their friends at school or any other excuse they are trotting out…it is all about their delusions that trump knows more than the medical experts…you know where that belief got us…140,000 dead and the spikes in deaths that are to come in the red states where there are 50,000 more cases every damn day because the governors of those states drank the trump kool aid and were too damn dumb to understand how this virus works….who is going to draw the line at murdering children? Not the repubs, that’s for damn sure…someone has to stop this madness or the kids won’t be alright….
