Well…running a little early today with wanting to get out on the bike before F1 qualifying but it’s raining so that isn’t going to work today…damn….that puts my entire day off schedule and I don’t like it…oh, well…I guess I’ll watch soccer for now and go out at 10 instead…slept okay last night for a change but I am a little worn out today from my allergies…forgot to take something for them last night and I won’t do that again today…I am looking forward to trying my new riding gloves today to see if they are as comfortable as they seem….and to see if they can prevent calluses that I have on my left hand from riding…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I will have to do the bathroom today since it is getting a little iffy and I should clean the kitchen, too, but I’m not sure how much I’ll do with all of the soccer on this morning and then races later today…more later…

Well…woke up feeling pretty crappy this morning and I know part of it is allergies…forgot to take something for it last night but I won’t make that mistake tonight….not sure if I’m going to get out by 7:30 to make it back here for F1 practice at 9 but I do need to get out early with the rain coming in later today…I probably shouldn’t even talk about it since when I do, the clouds fall apart and we get nothing…I did get out to get some color yesterday and I think it’s evening out okay….and it needs to…looks pretty weird…got a notice that my new bike bag is coming today and I can’t wait to replace the old one with all of the holes….and I do want to try some riding gloves to see if I can prevent the cramps in my hands that I get every day….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but a little clean up on the oven that I spilled burger juice in yesterday…it still stinks in here from it…not much to do today….I am going to drag myself out on the bike here in a few minutes and then come back here and just ease into the rest of the day…more later…

Well…I sure hope they finish up the rebuild at Meijers soon…it is such a pain in the butt doing the grocery run with everything moved to places I can’t find…even forgot to buy my newspaper and I am a little grrrrr about that…it’s my nice Thursday routine and I don’t like it disrupted…I did sleep okay last night and don’t feel too bad this morning except for the allergies giving me a low grade headache…had a walking stick hanging on to my rear fender for the trip over and back to groceries so I had to take him off an put him in the bushes when I got back here…pretty funny to see…I do feel better that I have a doctor now and am gradually getting back on track with my life…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I am going to wash the car here in a few minutes so it can dry while I’m on the bike and then I can wax it when I get off the bike…I do need to clean the interior and glass today too, so that will be some work with all of the dust in the car….more later…

Well….one of the things that I have been working on now for a couple of months was finding a new doctor that was close by and that takes Medicare…yeah…I’m that old and now most of you that come here daily will probably stop now that you know I’m an old fart. But, I never really do this for anyone but myself so I’m not going to worry about that too much…so, today, I finally found a doctor who takes Medicare and I have my “welcome to Medicare” checkup scheduled for the 4th of September and that is making me a little apprehensive since I haven’t seen a doctor in over 15 years, other than for the 15 staples in my scalp. But, I feel good most days other than the normal aches and pains so I guess I won’t worry too much…it’s kind of funny that the office where the doctor has his practice is on my bike route and I ride by it every day….and it’s only two miles away on Kalamazoo so that will be cool until I find a house and move…and that’s the last thing I have to do now after getting my car insurance changed, and now finding a doctor…..so, I think I’ll take the rest of the day off and just relax….

Well…I am exhausted this morning from all of the news from yesterday…but, I did sleep okay so that is something….not sure why I’m so sore today but there will be ibuprofen in my future…my neck is stiff and hurts and that has been going on too long…must be sleeping wrong on it but I’m not sure how to change that…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I have some errands to run today and I do have to cook some chicken before it goes bad…had half a loaf of bread go moldy yesterday and I am happy that the heat and humidity is gone right now…it was a pain to be damp all the time…not much to do today….can’t get moving right now and need to have more coffee before I get to working out and riding the bike….more later….

Well…running a little early today with getting up at 5:30….and that means I am pretty darn tired today and the tossing and turning all night didn’t help either…the allergies really kicked in yesterday and I was and still am miserable and that may have screwed up my sleep, too…had an okay day yesterday but no pool and that wasn’t a bad thing….had no energy yesterday and I’m not sure why that was but I can guess the usual suspect…but I don’t want to talk about that right now…I did get out to change my car insurance and saved a bunch of money but it took a lot of cash to pay for the whole year…but I won’t have to think about it again until next year so that is cool…I do need to get out in the next two days to find a doctor and get the health checks set up and then find a house to buy…still waiting for my life insurance to come to use for the down payment but that should happen this week….not much to do today…I do need to clean some after I get the doctor thing done but that is about it….more later…

Well…forgot to make the coffee last night and it’s a pain having to do it in the morning…but I need it so I guess it’s not too much work…slept okay last night but still feel a little slow today so I am going to ease into it and let the coffee work for a while…I did get a good bike ride in yesterday and need to get out soon to beat the rain…it looks like we are finally going to get some storms tonight and I’m looking forward to that…this summer has been a bust..can’t remember the last time we’ve had a storm around here…didn’t get a lot done around here yesterday and probably won’t today…I do have to go out and get my new insurance paid for and get it started this morning and then pool this aft so I won’t have time to do much else…I did get out to have a couple with K yesterday and it was nice to get out for a while…and then talked to C by text last night so I guess I covered everyone….more later….

Well…trying to get moving this morning so I can get out on the bike before the fog is gone…it is too cool to ride when you can see the clouds moving in front of you….slept okay last night and don’t feel too badly this morning and that is even with only one cup of coffee so far…but, I do need to have at least one more before I go…it did rain some last night and it was about time…it has been so dry around here that the poplars are turning yellow already and that is not supposed to start for another month or so….okay, need more coffee….I’m back and I am wondering when we will get a break from the humidity…everything feels damp and I’m already sweating just sitting here doing this….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same with soccer on and the indy car race on later…so there will be some napping today…I hope….more later….

Well….politics with trump involved has gotten so tiresome that I am not going to write about it today….instead, I want to talk a little bit about trail stuff…haven’t written much about that lately since there really hasn’t been much going on that would be interesting…but today, there was a sad thing that I wanted to relate…heading up to the last water stop at the park this morning, I looked a little farther south along Eastern before I turned up the trail to the park and saw lump of something lying in the road…but it was almost 100 yards away so I just caught a little bit of the color…there are very few animals in the wild that are red and that meant it was probably a red fox that had been hit by a car…after I finished the ride, I had some errands to run and needed some tomatoes, and that led me right past where I had seen the red animal earlier…and it was a red fox that had been killed by a car….now, I know there are many more foxes in the wild around here than there ever were since I moved out here in 1980….and I have seen a half dozen of them in the past few years, but it is still a shock to see one lying in the road dead…just a little sadness temper an otherwise okay day….

Well…running about on time today…or a little bit late now that I looked at the time…slept okay last night but feel a little slow this morning with just pouring the first cup of coffee and only having one sip so far…it is nice having soccer to wake up to but I don’t know any of the newly promoted teams so that will take some time to get up to speed on them…still think I am not eating enough with just two bowls of chili and half a chicken breast yesterday but we’ll see when I get out on the bike in a few….thought the same thing yesterday but the bike ride was okay and my legs had energy throughout the ride…but there normally is a lag between not eating and the legs being flat so today may be telling….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I do need to vacuum and clean the kitchen a little today…I may need to cook, too, but I do have leftovers that I can use if I don’t feel like it….more later…
