Well…I think I damn near killed myself on the bike this morning and I am still feeling pretty beat up from it…not sure why it was such a struggle today but I was having problems catching my breath at times…this happens a couple of times a year and I think I may have not eaten enough…just a small burger for lunch and three tacos for dinner…so I may have done it to myself…we’ll see…oh, the good news…just got approved for my second credit card! It’s from capital one and has a 5K limit, no annual fee, 1.5% cash back, and I get 150 bucks back if I spend 500 dollars on it in the first three months…something that will be pretty easy if I stop using the secure one and put all my groceries on it…maybe even a new set of tires…they would be almost free…yay!

Well…running about on time today but I am feeling a little slow so the coffee needs to start working soon…slept okay last night but on my right shoulder and it hurts today…but, nothing else does so I guess that’s something…it was a wasted day yesterday with all the races on and that means nothing got done but I am going to try to do some cleaning today…it’s supposed to be almost 95 again today but it was almost that warm yesterday and it stayed comfortable in here so no air again today…didn’t have to cook yesterday but I am going to make some big ribs today and then some leftover tacos later….no pool today with it being a holiday so I guess I’ll just veg out the day and take a long bike ride…more later….

Well….only about halfway through race day and I am starting to get bored a little so I thought I’d come here and noodle around for a bit…I am still pretty geeked that my car started fine this morning after sitting for three days unused…that’s the first time that has happened since I put the new battery in it last fall…I even had my battery booster box all charged up and ready to go if it didn’t…I did get out on the bike for a nice ride at 7 this morning and I remembered to have coffee first and can’t believe the difference that made…lots of sprints and sweat that felt good…and the bike is still working perfectly, too…now that I think of it, everything I use every day is working great including the phone…weird….it’s already up to 90 outside getting to 93 or so today but it is still comfortable in here at about 76 degrees….no air until later if it gets too warm…okay, part of the boredom is trying to multitask and I need to stop that..so, I will…more later?

Well…running quite early today with getting ready for the biggest race day of the year…starting at 9 we have Monaco, Indy, and the Coke 600 to watch today so there will be racing and napping all day…slept okay last night and had some good news already today…let the car sit without starting it with the battery connected since Thursday morning and it fired right up today so I guess it was the battery last fall after all….and now the car is back to normal and that feels good…didn’t get anything done yesterday and with today being race day, I won’t get much done today, either….and that’s okay since I really don’t have much to do….I am going to get the bike ride in before the 9 am start of Monaco and I am getting some coffee down today before I go…I didn’t yesterday and it was torture on the bike without it….more later…

Well…sitting here waiting for the rain to stop so I can get out on the bike before F1 qualifying…but, that is not looking good since it starts at 9 and it is already 7:24….slept okay last night but feel a little slow today and I hope that the bike ride will help with that…I do need to take some ibuprofen right now since my hands cramped up like crazy on the ride yesterday….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and probably won’t today, either….just haven’t been motivated lately and that’s okay….I am going to make some tacos today but I’m not sure for lunch or dinner….I think I’ve had too much beef lately and it’s hurting my digestion…okay, need to get on the bike…more later….

Well…running on time today but feel a little slow so I think I’ll ease into the day and have more coffee….slept okay last night but was up and down all night and that doesn’t help….but, I think I ate enough yesterday so I guess that’s something…didn’t get much done yesterday but groceries and the bike ride and today looks the same…it was nice that the temp was up over 80 and it is going to be almost 90 today…still not going to use the air since I have been waiting for this since last year and I love the warmth….it is warm enough to get out on the bike in a t-shirt as soon as I want and I have been waiting for that, too…I think I bought too much food yesterday and I don’t have any storage space left here…I guess the 80 bucks I spent was a little much….I think I need to clean some today but I’m not sure if I’ll do it again….more later….

Well…reached the first milestone on the new bike when the odo turned over to 1,000 miles today….this same milestone took me almost a year on the Motobecane but I’ve only had the new one for 3 months so that’s a pretty good pace…with the chain skipping having fixed itself, and finally getting settled on it, it is so much fun to ride that I think I’m going to start doing morning and afternoon runs to double up…but, a big part of that is just the boredom that permeates my days…need to find something more to do that doesn’t cost much…well, I can afford to do a few things but none of them are too interesting so I guess that all works out….

Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run…spent almost 80 bucks and that opened my eyes a little since I really didn’t get anything out of the ordinary…I did get 4 ears of corn for 50 cents so that was cool…slept okay last night and didn’t get up until 6:35 so that put me a little late for everything this morning….but, I really don’t have much to do but ride the bike today so I guess that’s okay….I’ve left the battery in the car connected for the past week and it has started every time so maybe it’s fixed itself? We’ll see Sunday since I won’t be driving it again until then….I do have to take some ibuprofen before the bike ride today…I am a little sore everywhere and I think that might help to prevent it getting worse…not much to do today…going to make an olive burger for lunch and then I have to clean the fridge but that is about it….more later….

Well…woke up early today but I’m not sure if 6 is early anymore…slept okay last night and I am just easing into the day with coffee and a little old school tv….finally ate enough yesterday…I think….my stomach has been good so far and I hope it continues…I am tired of heartburn….I did get a nice bike ride in yesterday and the fog is pretty thick right now…I hope it stays until I can get on the bike in a little while…I’m not too motivated to get out right now and I hope the coffee helps with that…didn’t get anything done yesterday but really didn’t have anything to do….I think I’ll clean the fridge today if I can get moving but I need more coffee and to read the news some first,,,,,more later….

Well…when I was out on the bike this morning I realized I haven’t done a trail update in quite a while so I think I’ll do one of those today….I am a little irritated that my uphill sprint trail is still shut down and it will be for the rest of the summer with the rebuild of Wing st. going on until then….and then today they ripped out the sidewalk that I was using to go around it to put a new road in for a new subdivision on 60th…and that puts me out on 60th street for a couple of hundred yards and I really don’t like being out in the traffic…especially when I get out early and have the 8 am traffic to deal with….other than that it was a nice ride today in the fog and mist but I got back here soaked and with a bike that looks almost camouflaged with all of the leaves and dirt that are stuck to it…will probably wash it here in a minute since it is going to be dry the rest of the week….I wonder why the tiny bunnies are not out yet….I did have an adult one pace me down the trail for a hundred yards today and that was a little strange…they normally dive into the weeds as soon as possible but this one just kept running….and all I could think of was “run Forrest, run”……
