Well…if you’ve been here for any length of time, you know that about a year ago I replaced the battery in my Sony mp3 player since the old one wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. So, in the past week or so the battery indicator has been showing me shorter and shorter use times, down to about three hours before getting the battery charge needed symbol on the display and I was starting to get a little irritated that the battery only lasted a year when the original lasted over 6 years….so, today, I thought I’d test it out and just see how long the thing really will run until it shuts off…well…6 1/2 hours and counting after the thing told me the battery was dead…and that is not counting the hour on the bike with the indicator flashing. So, needless to say there is a problem with the sensor, not the battery, but now I’m going to have to either keep it plugged in all the time or keep track of how long I’ve run it since it was charged…that sounds like a lot of work so I guess it’s plug in time….isn’t technology great?
7 hours and counting….8 hours….not sure how long I’m going to do this….
Well…running late today and I’m going to blame it on going out to read C&J on Kos first….I guess that’s as good as any excuse….slept crappy again so I won’t be mentioning that again…today….it is nice that it is already 50 outside so I can get on the bike as soon as I finish working out…I do have some stuff to do around here and want to get that done before lunch so it’s good to not have to wait for the temp to come up….not feeling as crappy as I should so maybe the bug is finally leaving…hope so….after a day or so of rain…it looks like the entire week is going to be sunny so there will be some top down time…have to go out and try to find a new bulb for my reading lamp that I’ve had for 30 years or more….as I get older, I need more light to see the paper in the morning….maybe I’ll ride my bike over to the store to try to find one….more later….
Well…as you can see from the numbers, I’m behind for the month so I thought I’d just noodle around and see what happens…and the Lions are stinking up the joint so that is just driving me away from the tv…at least until Talladega starts in a few minutes…oh, and the comet flyby of Mars is happening in a few minutes so I think I’ll go out to look at the pictures here in a minute…I do like the battery backup that I got last week for 7 bucks…just have to remember to keep it charged and take it with me….I did get laundry done today so I don’t feel completely useless….on partly useless….there were thousands of wooly bears on the trail today and that was cool but a lot of work to not run them over….okay…need to go out and look at the comet pictures….more later…
Well…running late today and the whole thing was caused by ice on the car that I had to melt off with it running for 10 minutes….it was an okay day yesterday and I got out to see K and V over at Logan’s for a few minutes so that was fun…slept crappy again but the Wings won with Hank getting the winner with 10 seconds left in OT…pretty cool….so, I guess I can live with feeling crappy again today but I won’t let that keep me off the bike today…took the day off yesterday since the temp never came up until the aft and after the run to Logan’s, I wasn’t motivated at all…and, it looks like it will be noon or so before I can get out today…but not later than that since I do want to see the Lions and the race….not much to do today…I did get my bathroom de-spidered yesterday and cleaned so it looks like the kitchen today…more later…and I do need to do three more of these today so come back a see….
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool…plus, I put an 8 ball in on the break so that was even cooler…didn’t win the Mega last night so I don’t have to put instructions in here for my daughter so Tom gets his cut…slept okay but no dreams again so that is a little disappointing…and, there was no Miata drive last night since it was raining…no too disappointed with that since I wanted to see the Wings game anyway…didn’t get much done yesterday but I will today…at least the bathroom…and I have a 7 pound chicken to roast today so there will be food…along with the soccer that is on now…still trying to find where Man U is on the sched….not much to do today…I am going to wait a few minutes before I go out on the bike…it is a little too cold right now and I am not in the mood to be cold…more later…
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I just realized that I didn’t get back here for another one so I guess I’ll have to fix that today…slept okay but no dreams to speak of…it was fun to get out to have a couple with G but that got me on the road to feeling a little crappy today…didn’t get much done but the ham soup and it came out great so that is a plus…and the bathroom didn’t get done again and it won’t get done today, either….I think I’ll do it tomorrow…maybe….not much to do today..I do have errands to run, pool, and then a final meet up with the youngster Miata folks after for a run up to Rockford for dogs and beer…I will be looking forward to getting back here for the Wings game after all that….more later…
Well…running late today and it is because I had to do a grocery run and get the ham soup started….needed to get the freezer cleaned out and with this gloomy day, I thought it was perfect for making soup…slept okay last night and had some weird dreams about colonizing Mars and the indigenous life there that was killing we settlers until I figured out you could kill it with bleach..but, the problem was that the organisms that survived kicked into evolution overdrive…pretty weird but a fun one….didn’t get anything done yesterday since I didn’t sleep at all Tues night and had to just recover…will try again to get the bathroom done again but who knows? Not much to do today…I do need to get the bike ride in and then put the rest of the soup together…not sure what else…but I will try something…more later….
Well…not sure how I forgot this one but I did..so, I thought about it today before I forget completely…out on the trail yesterday, at one of my water stops, there was a yearling dear trapped in the chain link tunnel that makes up the trail in that area…and it was in such distress it was jumping and jumping into the 6 feet tall chain link like it thought it could go over it but missing the top by a couple of feet…as it slowly moved up the trail toward me…another biker and a walker tried to get it to go in the direction of an opening in the fence by making themselves look big and making some noise…I joined in and we finally got it to stop hitting the fence and run out the other end…could not believe that it was not injured after slamming into the fence at full force so many times…another weird day on the trail….,
Well…running late today and it’s the lack of sleep that’s doing it…only got about 3 hours last night and I am sitting here in a haze trying to be at least semi lucid but I’m not sure if it’s working…had some weird dreams with Liam Neeson in them with hotels and food and other stuff but it wasn’t much fun….didn’t get a lot done yesterday, either, but I am going to try to do better today…I do need to run some errands and get the bike ride in and that can happen right away with it being 57 already…..I do need to do the bathroom today and get rid of some trash and then there is the Wings game later so that will give me something to do…more later…
Well…it was a okay day yesterday…for a Monday…but I didn’t get much done…well…ran a few errands and got a backup battery for the phone and a new set of earbuds but that was about it…and, I’m almost caught up here so maybe that was something? Slept okay and had dreams about cleaning this place but the more I cleaned, the worse it got and I am not sure what that was about….going to have to go without sleep aids tonight since they are making me so sluggish in the morning it’s hard to get going….I did do laundry, too, I just remembered so I got some stuff done…..not much to do today….it looks like it may rain so the bike ride will have to be between the raindrops today…and the bathroom needs to be done….just need to accomplish one thing today….more later…
