Well…with the meltdown of Devin Nunes and his destruction of the credibility of the house intelligence committee that is supposed to be investigating trump’s collusion with the Russians to steal the election, the only hope I see to save this country from trump is a republican senator from NC, Richard Burr. I watched a piece on Laurence O’Donnell’s show where he was interviewed and he and his dem counterpart, Mark Warner, made all the right noises and it appeared he understands what his job is…to get to the truth, not to protect anyone and he even mentioned that some people may go to jail as a result of his investigation….contrast that to Nunes erratic behavior where he has been coordinating with the white house to derail any investigation….I have hope that senator Burr will do what another NC senator, Sam Ervin, did during Watergate…hold people responsible for breaking the law….this country is hanging by a thread…impeach….
March 30th
Well…running a little late this morning with doing the grocery run and then having the power go out which screwed up the computer….it looks like it’s all fixed now and I only had to reset the microwave’s clock since the rest of them kept their time…I did have a problem getting some equipment to restart but that appears fixed now….still feel a little crappy today and the bug is still here… a little….but I will be off the bike today to let the lungs heal up some and to stop coughing….have been hobbling around a bit lately and I am hoping that it is just from going hard on the bike and not from getting old….I do have some things to do around here today and the rain gives me some incentive to do it…..but, I am going to take care of myself and not work too hard…..more later….
Another problem with the wall…
Well…and I don’t mean “The Wall” by Pink Floyd…but the idiotic, 30 billion dollar wall that the moron trump wants to build along the border with Mexico. This question popped into my head this morning when I read something about it in my Twitter feed….exactly where is the wall going to go? Is it going to go on our side of the Rio Grande or Mexico’s side? I’m pretty sure that Mexico isn’t going to allow us to take their land and annex it to the US, so that leaves the other option….our side of the river. But. since the border runs down the middle of the river, that would mean that we would be ceding our rights to the land to the south of the wall to the middle of the river and, along with it, our rights to the river. This is something that was set by treaty and can’t be undone by just one of the parties so the idiot can’t just use an executive order….just another in the long line of ignorant, half baked ideas that the moron in chief has spouted…..try again, idiot. Impeach…
Can’t write when I feel lousy…
Well….as you can probably tell if you come here often, my output has dropped over the past week or so and I think the problem is I can’t write when I feel lousy…and feeling lousy started about a week ago and is still here to some extent and I’m not sure how long this will go on…I did have a great bike ride but popped something in my left thigh that hurts like crazy right now even with the ibuprofen….probably shouldn’t have gone so hard this early but my lungs were feeling better and I had 4 way street on in the ears and there are times that you can just get lost in what you are doing….and it looks like it will be a day off tomorrow with the rain coming in later today….and, I’m even going to go look at the news and try to find a topic to do in a few minutes…so come on back in a few….
March 29th
Well…still feel pretty crappy today…and I’m chilled…and it is 75 in here…and I’m coughing so there is a bug….first one of the year and that is little consolation….didn’t get anything done yesterday and I should have so that will have to change today….I am thinking of getting my hair cut this morning but that would take everything out of me and would mean I won’t get anything done again today….I still hurt everywhere, too…man, I feel like a wreck today and should just take it easy….I have been getting used to not having the dish…haven’t even turned it on in three days so I think I can survive it…and the 97 bucks a month will come in handy….more later….
Devin Nunes has got to go…
Well…with all of the erratic behavior that this idiot has shown over the past week, with secret meetings with white house staff and running to trump to give him information that the committee had gathered,the head of the house intelligence committee topped that this morning with cancelling all of the meetings the committee had scheduled for the week. Now a cynical person would see this as Nunes trying to do everything he can to protect trump from impeachment…and that cynical person would be right, that is exactly what Nunes is doing and in such a ham handed manner that it would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious a breach of his sworn duty to protect the country and constitution….but, as we see every day, the repubs only care about protecting their party and the criminals that run it….Nunes has to go…and now…impeach…
March 28th
Well…didn’t do much yesterday but get the bike ride in…I did go out to have a couple with G and, with the bug, I feel pretty crappy this morning…don’t have any energy and I am sore everywhere so I think I may take the day off and just recover…we’ll see after the coffee….I could go back to bed or take a nap on the couch…but, I won’t….I know it’s getting to be a broken record but I didn’t eat enough again yesterday and I think that doesn’t help….I wonder why that has gotten to be such a problem lately? Oh, well….I need more coffee so I think I’ll end here…..more later….
The latest excuse….
Well…feeling pretty crappy right now but something I just read made me want to comment….the right and trump supporters are already floating a new excuse to use when trump goes down in flames…it’s all Obama’s fault! Yep…what’s old is new again…and it goes something like this: trump will only fail because Obama screwed the country up so badly that even the magnificent donald couldn’t fix it…yeah…that sounds pretty ridiculous but these delusional idiots will believe anything they’re told….man, I’m sure shaking my head that the supposed party of responsibility never takes responsibility for their failures….and they foisted the biggest, the huuugest failure of all on us….impeach…

Well…no big stuff in the news today so I think I just put down some random thoughts that have been running into and out of my head all day today….3.76 billion dollars…that is the estimated cost cost of the “bathroom bill” or HB2 that was passed to discriminate against transgender people in North Carolina…I wonder if the folks that voted for these repub idiots wanted to pay that much to discriminate…yeah, probably some of them did…13 golf trips…in two months…and the idiot trump went on and on about Obama golfing…and, at 3 million per trip, that’s almost 40 million dollars the taxpayers have already had to foot the bill for…oh, and it took Obama two years to golf that many times…and trump promised to “never leave the White House”…..I did get a bike ride in today….but it was damn cold and I had no energy….need to eat more today…was even dizzy at times so the blood sugar must have been low….or I still have the little bug I had…okay…I’ll blame it on that…more later…
March 27th
Well…had another total veg day yesterday and that can’t continue today….just haven’t had any energy for the past few days and my lungs have been congested so I think it’s a bug…but, I am going to get on the bike today…..have been off for three now and that is just too much…..but, it’s only 42 right now so I think I’ll wait a while…have been sore everywhere for the past few days and I’m not sure why…even my neck pain has come back and that is disheartening…..I know I’m getting old but I am not going to accept that pain is going to be constant…..I am going to get going in a few minutes but I need coffee first…more later….
