Well…just noticed that yesterday’s first post has disappeared and I’m not sure what happened…might be the new software that runs this thing…so, I guess I’ll have to update…it was just a normal day yesterday but I did go over to C’s house to get the water heater turned on so they could show it…have to go back over there this morning to shut the place down so he doesn’t have to spend 50 bucks on gas to come down and back…slept okay last night but had some disturbing dreams…not the happy ones I normally have but I guess the plus is that I had dreams two days in a row…yesterday’s were about cell phone problems and were related to real cell phone problems that I had…not being able to get texts…had to go over to Verizon to get those fixed but they couldn’t figure them out…just started to work again on it’s own…not much to do today..getting ready to head across town and then back here for a while before I head out for pool later…more later…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and, with being good, I feel okay this morning…even slept okay which is really weird given how bad it has been lately…maybe it was the 4 hours I got yesterday? The rest of the day was just like all of the others but it looks like I made it through the “polar vortex” okay….the car started fine this morning and it is going to get warmer so the worst is over…I was even out in shorts this morning to clean off the car and warm it up…the lack of wind helped, though…not much to do today…have to meet up with C at his house that he has for sale to help with getting it ready to be shown tomorrow and then close it back down Friday morning but that’s no big deal…then, just more of these and resumes….more later…

Well…running really, really late today with trying to get the driver’s door on the car thawed so I could get in it…had to run an errand yesterday where I had to get in the passenger’s door and climb over the shifter to get it…it’s hard enough for me to get in it normally but this one hurt both my hips and I am sore today…I did make up a brine solution that I heated in the microwave that opened it fine even at zero  this morning….and, the damn radar detector died yesterday so I guess I’ll have to go without one for a while and just slow down…slept really crappy last night didn’t get to sleep until one and then back up at 5:30 so today is going to be a low energy one…not much to do today…going to finish my coffee and read the news and then make lunch but that is about it…more later….

Well….it was kind of a strange day today but I made a little cash so that was good…but the damn driver’s side door on the car froze shut so I had to climb in and over to get in the driver’s seat…and, at my age, that is not the easiest thing to do….and, it looks like I won’t be able to get it open until wed since it is too cold to use hot water to melt it…the car worked good in the snow today and I just can’t say enough about the tires…I hope the drive today was enough to make it start tomorrow but I will probably walk up to get the papers if I get them at all…might just go online for them tomorrow…

Well…it was just another day yesterday and I didn’t do much but watch football and soccer…and it was okay but a little boring…slept okay, too, but woke up this morning to a huge bruise on my right ankle…it took a while to figure out where it came from but then I remembered I got hit on the ankle by the cue ball shooting pool Friday…weird….got up this morning to about a foot of snow on the car and 25 below zero wind chills…the car started okay but I was not going to go out in shorts to clean it off….not much to do today…going to just hibernate and clean a little…going to be good all week and let the liver rest until Friday…just don’t need the calories…more later…

Well…it was just another day yesterday and I didn’t get much done around here…I did finally vacuum the ice melter pellets that were spreading all over and cleaned my cook top but that was it…slept okay last night but I am still tired today and it was probably the cocktails…the Wings finally played a game last night and won it so that was okay…my elbow is still killing me and I’m not sure what to do about it….I have been resting it but that doesn’t seem to help…not much to do today…going to watch some soccer and finish the coffee…then decide what to do…will have to clean the car off so it will dry before the cold air comes in…not going to be as cold as last week so I may not have to do the plan b of keeping the car warm…..more later…

Well…it was a kind of nice day yesterday with lunch with T that was so much fun…and it was good to see her before she heads off to the Bahamas for a couple of weeks…it was so damn cold this morning that the car barely started and it is still 7 below right now at 9…might have to start using the plan b method of starting the car up for a while before I go to bed to get some heat in it overnight….especially for mon and tues when it is supposed to be even colder….slept okay last night but I am a little worn out since all I had to eat was the two enchiladas for lunch….back to thinking that nothing even sounds good and I feel so bloated that that compounds it…have already gained a bunch of weight from not riding the bike and I don’t like it….not much to do today…going out for pool maybe..but I’m still broke so that has less appeal….more later…

Well…here it is the 2nd and I’m already behind for the year…just couldn’t get motivated to come back yesterday…part of it was that they released a bunch of “Dexter” that I haven’t seen yet on Netflix so I watched that…oh, and the Wings game and the State game so it was busier than I expected…slept okay last night but I think there is another bug hitting me since I was so warm last night…hope not…when I took the rent check up to the office yesterday I forgot to clean the snow off the air intake and it was snowing inside the car made a pretty big mess but that cleared up this morning….it was pretty cool that State won yesterday…hmmm…nope…going to use that for another one later….not much to do today…might meet up with T to see her before she heads out to the Bahamas but that is about it…I do need to do some laundry so that will be something anyway…more later…

Well…here we go again…another year starts and I do want to use a Pink Floyd quote…”…the sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older…shorter of breath, and one day closer to death…” okay, I know…a little bit of a downer to start another year of these but it’s how I feel some times…not sure if that is the theme for today, though,…slept okay last night and it is still neat that the upstairs furnace is quiet…I think the constant noise was adding to my stress level and the peace is doing the opposite…had an okay day yesterday with hockey all day and then just vegging for the night and it looks like more of the same today…the Wings play outdoors and then State is in the Rose bowl so I will have some things to do…other than that, just going to cook and hang out…and do one more of these today…don’t want to get behind….more later…

Well..sitting here waiting for the second alumni game to start and thought I’d get to the last one for the year…most people would do a look back at the year and have some deep, reflective thoughts to share…but, that’s not me at this point..I can sum up this year pretty easily…I turned 60…still unemployed…still healthy…car’s still running good other than the wheel bearing…and, it still makes me smile when I drive it…it’s been an okay year…would like to be working but I am taking the day off from worrying about it to just enjoy a day for the first time in a long time….so, I think I’m going to do that, head for the couch, open the spinach dip, and just watch tv and veg…may be back later for more but don’t count on it….after all, I did over 700 of these this year and you should be getting tired of reading them…if not, that’s pretty cool…
