June 29th

Well…it was and okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done other than lying in the sun to try to even out the biker tan…and races but no cooking or anything else…so that makes today one where I need to get the spiders done at least…there are some big ones in the bathroom that I think are eyeing me….slept okay last night and had a few dreams that were not too good so I really don’t remember them….I am sore and run down for some reason this morning and I think it may be that I didn’t eat enough yesterday…only about 900 calories for the day and that is not sustainable…just don’t feel like cooking or eating….not much to do today…I do have an errand to run this aft and I think I’ll make enough cash today to buy my groceries this week and that takes a little stress away…more later….

Typical repubs…

Well…having had the weekend to digest the supreme court’s decisions of the past week and to read the dissents, all I can say is that the losers are just typical repubs…throwing a fit and attacking their peers when they don’t get their way…just to read Thomas, Alito, and Scalia in their dissents, they are nothing but personal attacks and intentional misreading or ignoring the law…what don’t they understand about the 14th amendment? Equal protection under the law…very simple for someone who hasn’t studied the law to understand and apply….in the gay marriage case, how can you not see that there was a group of US citizens that were being denied the rights that everyone else has? But, no, not for the haters on the court who tried to twist the law to their own warped view of what should be..and centering not on what the law says but on what their religions say or what tradition says…neither of which has any place in reading the law and interpreting it. Now, the right is going frickin crazy about their fellow citizens finally have equal rights and have threatened everything under the sun to go against the law from secession to trying to put unconstitutional roadblocks in the way in the state legislatures…typical repubs…crybaby sore losers…

June 28th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but, as always, I didn’t get anything done…I did get the slow cooker loaded and finished and the chicken came out pretty good…slept okay but feel a little crappy today and I think I have another bug since I have been coughing all morning and I’m sure it’s not allergies this time…we’ll see how the lungs hold up on the bike in a few minutes…I do have some plans today but they only include getting rid of the spiders in the bathroom…they are getting way too big for them to remain….I feel pretty sore this morning so there will be some ibuprofen before I get on the bike…not much to do today…it will probably be racing all day since there is no other sports that I want to see….I did get over a thousand miles on the bike in the past few days and that makes only about 1400 more to do to get to the goal for the year…and to get to 25K on this bike…..more later…

June 27th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…well…I kinda won…only put one 8 ball in out of the 6 games…slept okay last night and feel okay today…already have the slow cooker going with some chicken and smoked sausage along with potatoes and carrots….did a pasta sauce for the liquid and I hope it turns out okay….not really sore this morning but a little creaky that I hope will be worked out on the bike ride…I did get the bike cleaned the other day and the shifters finally started working after about 12 miles yesterday…have to lube them again today before I go out to make sure they continue to work…nothing more annoying than having them hang up and not shift when I need them to…not much to do today…going to clean today but that is about it…more later….

Another good decision…

Well…it is another great day and another great decision by  the supreme court when, just a few minutes ago, the court made gay marriage legal across the country….striking down one of the most egregious bits of discrimination that is still left in the country. One of the best things about this decision is that was on a  broad reading of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment which will then lead to ending discrimination in hiring and firing and every other mode of discrimination that the idiots out there have dreamed up….I applaud the supreme court for dong what is right…it had to go this way…

June 26th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done…again…oh, I did get the bike cleaned but now it doesn’t work too well so I’m going to have to re-lube it and make it dirty again…slept okay but no dreams and I am a little resigned to that….I don’t hurt anywhere so that is a good thing and that will make the ride better today…I am training to break the 15 mile record and I think that will take place next week…need to get under 56:42 and I think I can do it…we’ll see….the spiders are back again and they will have to be dealt with over the weekend as will the vacuuming and most of the other cleaning…I am going to make crock pot chicken tomorrow so that will be good but I need to get rid of the leftovers so I will have containers to put stuff in…..not much to do today..pool, of course and I think I’ll wash the car this morning, too…more later…

Funny, funny, funny…

Well…with the heads exploding on the right with the Obamacare decision today, I have heard a bunch of conspiracy theories sprout on the right about how it could possibly happen this way…and one of the funniest is the one that says the only reason the decision went that way was that Obama was blackmailing the repubs and John
Roberts…that they had something on them that would ruin their lives if it was revealed….now, I wonder if any of the idiots pushing this one understand the implications of what they are saying. If you believe this crap, that means that every powerful repub has done something so bad that it would ruin their lives if it was revealed….I wonder what that would be? It is funny that these repubs that the right reveres are common criminals in their eyes but that is okay because they are repub criminals…man, this stuff just makes me laugh…

The supreme court got one right…

Well…in case you haven’t heard, the supreme court ruled in favor of Obamacare this morning, allowing the premium subsidies to continue on both the federal and state exchanges. I think they finally got one right in this case…it was clear from the start that was what the law meant…and everyone who worked on it said it did…and the decision going 6-3 for wasn’t even close…and it shouldn’t have been given that the court is supposed to follow precedent and that is how they have read this stuff for more than a hundred years. I found the reaction of Scalia to be more of the same old crap that he spews when he doesn’t get his way and it was funny that Roberts trolled him a little on his dissent…so now, we are waiting for the equality case that could come down tomorrow or Monday…that one shouldn’t be close, either….but you never know with this court….

June 25th

Well…running really late today with not getting out of bed until 7:30 this morning..the one thing I can’t understand is even with getting up that late, I still feel like I haven’t slept at all…and, with the looks of the bed, there was major tossing and turning last night…..didn’t get out to blues yesterday since K called an invited me over to hang out around the pool and that looked much easier….didn’t much else yesterday and I don’t feel bad about it…I’m taking this week off from guilt about anything and I am just going to do what I want instead of what I should do…in that vein, it was a cocktail night last night and I watched a neat little movie called “St. Vincent” with Bill Murray in it…pretty funny….not much to do today…need to look at the radar to see if there is rain coming for the bike ride but I may go anyway…don’t mind getting wet if it’s warm….more later…

Not much to talk about…

Well…it has been one of those days where I have tried and tried to find something to talk about with no success so I guess I’ll just do another one where I just talk about anything…I am a little disappointed that the air bag module failed in the car today…I know it’s 21 years old and the one in the MX-6 failed when it was about 10 years old so I guess I shouldn’t bitch too much…but, I may have to try to find one that will fit…it is a Ford part in 1994 so I may be able to get one from a Probe…have to check it out…I am a little concerned about he supreme court rulings that are due int he next few days…it will really give me something to talk about so that will be cool, but I don’t want the results of the King v. Burwell….maybe they’ll surprise me an rule the right way for a change…I may go out to see blues on the mall out at the Deltaplex tonight if I can get through the traffic…there is suppose to be a car show out there, too, and that may be fun and I need to get out and do something….more later…

What you never want to be….
