Well…running really late today and it’s just because I can’t get started….I am sore from something and I think it may be that I started using the weight machine again a few days back…and my neck is cramping again, too, and that is just annoying…didn’t sleep for crap again last night and that may be why I feel so tired today…didn’t do much yesterday but go out and have a couple with G and that may be part of the malaise…not used to going out…and I don’t think 6 pizza rolls are enough for dinner….oh, well…not much to do today….just going to get some stuff done around here and try to fix the tooth again…need to get that fixed soon…more later…
People are idiots…
Well…just a short one on the drivers this morning going out to get the papers…coming back, this idiot just pulls out and almost runs into the side of my car just like I wasn’t there…had to hit part of the snowbank…the soft part thankfully to get past him…just another moron that was too busy drinking his coffee and texting on his phone to actually drive the car….these people should have their licenses revoked…when did driving become entertainment instead of getting somewhere? I am still irritated about this crap….
February 25th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday…still didn’t get much done but I felt pretty good for the first time in quite a while so that is something…slept crappy last night since the tooth flared up and I forgot to take something for it…so I was up at 2 and then had to wait for the ibuprofen to work…but it’s okay right now so I think it was just from grinding my teeth like I do….we’ll see today….I did get a few resumes out and that is the plan for today…going to make a little cash today so there will be groceries tomorrow…at least it was warm enough last night so I didn’t have to run the car…and tonight looks the same….thurs night is going to be cold again but I know how to make the car start so that’s a good thing….not much to do today…have to get rid of the papers and clean the kitchen some but that is about it….more later….
The stupid, it burns…
Well…just a little short one on some more jaw dropping stupidity from another repub today…and from someone who should know better…some background…a repub legislator from Nevada, in sponsoring some new legislation that would allow non-traditional treatment for many illnesses said today that she believes that cancer is a fungus and can be cured by a baking soda flush…now, this is stupid from most people but this woman, Michele Fiore, is the CEO of a healthcare company that makes millions from cancer treatments that are not baking soda….I’m not sure I can work up any more outrage today but in this case “the stupid, it burns”…..two questions come to mind here…how the hell do you get to be CEO of a healthcare company with these beliefs and second, how the hell do such stupid, ignorant people keep getting elected by the repubs? geez…
Doing nothing against ISIS?
Well…just finished reading about another ignorant right winger, Lamar Smith, a congressman from Texas who said today that Obama is doing “nothing” to combat ISIS in the middle east and it is a shame that Jordan and Egypt are doing more….how many more times do we have to use facts to try to puncture the bubble of ignorance for these folks? The facts are that the US has launched 8 times more airstrikes against ISIS that all of the other countries in the middle east combined…that our command and control systems like AWACS are used to plan and control every attack no matter what country the planes come from…and our satellites and intelligence gathering assets are the only ones that have the capability to find out what is happening on the ground. I think it would be a big surprise to our pilots and planners over there that they are doing nothing and it is just a part of the truth of the right these days…that they don’t give a damn about the service of the military unless they can use it to attack Obama…even lying about the truth and denigrating the contribution that our military has given in the fight against ISIS…what an idiot…call ole Lamar and tell him to shut the hell up…
Stopping NHL concussions…
Well….after two of our stars on the Wings have been put out of commission by hits to the head this season, I think there needs to be a re-think of the penalties that are levied when these things happen…and a flash came to me this morning how to stop these dangerous hits right in their tracks…it’s pretty simple really…the person causing the injury should be suspended until the injured player comes back…in the case of Frantzen’s injury where the dirty hit to the head has put him out possibly for the rest of the season…the idiot who hit him would be suspended without pay for the rest of the season and if he can’t come back, that’s it for the guy who hit him….and the same thing would be effective for the idiot who punched Hank a few games back and put him out for two games now and possibly many more. I think people would stop these intentional dirty plays if the cost was high enough….there is no place for this kind of crap with the bigger, faster players that are in the NHL now who can end a career with just one hit….
February 24th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I did make a little cash so I can buy groceries this week and that is cool…slept okay again last night and it almost seems that it is a good pattern that is repeatable…had dreams, too, with Kevin Spacey in them and that was really weird but that just meant I slept well enough to get into REM….I am feeling a little better every day but still have the after effects of the flu..or it’s allergies, either one has left me stuffed up but the energy levels are coming back and that feels good…and I was good last night and that has a big part to play in it so I’ll keep that up until later in the week….not much to do today…have some errands to run this morning but that is about it….the kitchen needs cleaning, too so I think I’ll make that a goal…more later….

Well…it has been another day where I thought I was going to make some cash but didn’t and that was a little disappointing…and with the temp only getting to 10 today, it is another mind numbing one that I am struggling to get through…it looks like this will be the coldest Feb on record in Michigan….and, don’t tell me that climate change is a hoax since it has been cold…I just want it to be over and get to normal again…still feel a little crappy today but I know it’s the aftermath of the flu so I can live with it….I was going to watch the Wings game tonight but it doesn’t start until 10 so that won’t be happening…oh, well…I just hope the car starts in the morning…it did at 11 below this morning so 3 below should be easier….hope so anyway…

Well…I know I haven’t been too topical lately and I am going to blame it on the flu and the fact that there is not a whole lot happening in politics right now…I think I’ve written this one before….there is one disgusting thing that happened this week in that ole Rudy Guiliani opened his mouth and exposed it for the sewer that it is…questioning if Obama loves the US or not…and the sky rained down with the dog whistles of racism that have marked the past 6 years from everyone on the right…not one of them disagreed with ole Rudy or even said anything that this kind of crap is out of bounds…going along with the blatant undermining of US foreign policy that is being done by Boehner…I would ask the question “why do the repubs hate the US so much?”…doing everything in their power to hurt the institution of the presidency across the world….and not caring about the damage they’re doing….that, to me, is not the love of country that the right is always going on an on about….and I think we on the left need to shout this every time you see one of these idiots talking about it…geez…
February 23rd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…didn’t have to but it is still a little depressing when I waste a day doing nothing….slept crappy again but who cares? It was damn cold this morning and I was happy that I did go out last night and run the car for a while so it would start this morning…it was 11 below when I went out but it started, barely, and that was a good thing….it was much colder than forecast and it looks like later in the week is going to be just as bad…at least I know I don’t have to go out at 3 am to do a start so I won’t…not much to do today…going to get a bunch of resumes out and start gathering the tax stuff so I can get them in…more later….
