Well…I have kind of been dreading this day for the entire summer…it’s the day of the last “Burn Notice” and I am not sure what to think about it. As my friends know, this has been my favorite show since it came on the air seven years ago, and I’m sure they are tired of hearing me talk about it….as classic tv goes, it won’t get into the top ten by a long shot, but there has been just something about it that has struck a chord with me…how can you not like a show about spies, with a hot woman that is just as dangerous as the men (or more)…and Bruce Campbell? Oh, well…I’ve been through this many times before with other shows…and this one may have been cheating a little since I am behind for the month. Felt the same way when “The Sopranos” ended…and my Thursdays are going to be emptier for a while…I guess that’s life…

June 24th part 2….
Well…the shower and coffee did work pretty well this morning…I felt pretty good after the bike ride; this was a pretty easy hangover and I think it has something to do with the fact that I’m sleeping better with the sleeping pills…but I’m going to stop them after this weekend just to see if my brain has been reset yet…hope so.
Where the heck can you find one of those cheap plastic webbed lounge chairs? I have been looking for a couple of weeks now and have looked at every store around here but Walmart…you know how I feel about them. It would seem like a relatively simple task to find one of those, they used to be everywhere you looked a few years back…maybe I’m out of touch? Just trying to get the old vitamin D up some by sitting in the sun…oh, well…
Nothing more right now…looking forward to just hanging out here tonight, watching Burn Notice and the new episodes of Futurama…yeah, I know, a cartoon, for an old guy like me? I appreciate comedy in any form (well, not Jackass)…and the writers do a great job…
June 5th part 2….
Well….can’t believe how sensitive the shifter is on the bike…about a 16th of an inch of adjustment and it works better than it ever has…yay! Now I need to clean the thing up before I go to Chi-town Thurs to visit my daughter…will probably go down thurs evening and stay until the USA England match is over…coming back Sat night..or not, who knows, I may do what I normally do and that is to get out of dodge as soon as possible.
It has been a somewhat boring day but I did get my bathroom cleaned and the whole place vacuumed; getting ready for the sports car race to start at 2…have some chicken brining for dinner but will have to bake it since the grill is gone…brined chicken is no good on the grill anyway. It kind of feels good to have had a no-drink night last night…have a lot more energy today but that may be the coffee…
I did re-watch Burn Notice this morning…must have been the booze thurs night since it was not bad today…probably should stop
drinking completely for a while and give the liver a rest….at least for this weekend….well…maybe not…
I promise more later about other subjects…you may be getting bored with this stuff..but I wouldn’t know without comments…;-)
