Well…damn, where the hell do they find these guys? The new speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, came out with a statement on the mass shooting yesterday in Maine where 18 people were killed and 30 more people wounded and guess what the repubs are blaming for this one? Not the easy availability of assault weapons that are flooding the streets…nope, it can be that…according to ole Mike it’s the teaching of evolution and any other science in schools…and everything can be fixed if they let god back in the schools which is against the constitution…but sine ole Mikey was in on January 6th and the attacks, we know what he thinks of the constitution…so should we be able to ignore the 2nd amendment, too? According to Mikey, we can….geez…

Shouldn’t you have to believe in science to be president?
Well…I know the know-nothingness is a badge of honor for many of those on the right but shouldn’t you have to believe in science to be president? I guess not for the ignorant masses on the right and for their leading candidate Ben Carson. In an interview this weekend, ole Ben came out and said that the theory of evolution, which does explain how everything got here, was a plot by the devil to lead people away from religion and that it can be dismissed as false since progressives believe that it does explain how life got to where it is now. He has also said that the science of astronomy is “false” and doesn’t believe in that either. I have never heard more ignorant statements from any supposed “leader” but the right eats this crap up…where did their intelligence go? Or, have they always been this stupid but just hid it better? I cannot believe that in the 21st century anyone can still think that everything they need to know was written by a bunch of ignorant goat herders over 2,000 years ago…geez…
The stupid is really deep in Texas…
Well…I have been a little lax in doing these lately but I have an excuse that works for me…and I guess that’s all I need…I did read a funny article…just a shorty…or maybe even on Twitter…not sure…but the gist of the article is the fight that is going on with the repubs for board of ed in Texas…and there was a scene straight from “Inherit the Wind” about the Scopes monkey trial early last century…yep, that long ago…when one of the candidates actually stood up in a public forum and asks for votes since she believes that “we didn’t come from no monkeys” …in this day and age, running for a position that will affect millions of Texas children…they still have viable candidates who are proud of their ignorance and passing that same ignorance on to their children…I’ll ask this one again…”what the hell is wrong with Texas?” geez…
