Well…running a little late today with moving up the grocery run to today and getting three rides in, but I did want to talk about the DNC that I watched a good part of last night…wow! What energy and enthusiasm from the crowd and the speakers…not at all what the mainstream media was pushing all afternoon before the convention started…they were going on and on about the divisions that have plagued the dems for a long time and they even tried to get people to not believe their eyes while they were pushing the division angle…hey media, now do you why Kamala doesn’t want to talk to you? It was just one of the most joyous things I have ever seen in politics and it gives me hope that we really can do a miracle and elect dems up and down the ballot…because we need to…and the contrast of what our side proposes to move the US forward vs the repubs always looking backwards is so stark that I really can’t believe anyone would vote for a repub ever again…but there is lots of stupid here in the US and the repubs depend on it…but just one thing to remember, when we vote, we win…so let’s do that…geez…

Lawrence was on fire last night…
Well..you know I’ve been railing against the bias in the media when covering the idiot trump and last night, Lawrence O’Donnell had enough and just lambasted the entire media including his own organization MSNBC for covering idiot boy’s entire speech and not one network cover the huge Harris/Walz rally in Detroit…he started by asking if the media had learned anything from 2016 when they gave trump a pass on everything and didn’t challenge his lies and they are doing the same thing now…and his point was that there was not one sentence in the entire screed that did not include a lie and went on to remind the media that they gave trump over a billion dollars in free coverage during that election and they are doing the same damn thing right now…and the point to me is if they’ve covered one trump screed, they have covered them all since he does the same damn crap all the time…so now maybe some part of the media will get back to covering idiot boy as how should be…as a carnival barker and criminal whose mental capacity is gone…or Lawrence will be fired and the media will keep cheer leading for the idiot…geez..
According to the NYT, it’s a cudgel…
Well…if there was any question that the media is failing us as we try to save our democracy, you just have to look at the NYT that is buying into the repub talking point that the only reason for the January 6th committee is for the dems to use it as a “cudgel” to attack the repubs before the 2022 elections. Not to bring the people who tried to overthrow the election to justice for the crimes they did…nope, it’s just to use it as an attack on repubs…and this is just so much bullshit that they should be ashamed of themselves…and why not attack the people who tried to kill this country and allow a criminal to stay in power? So, to use their logic, the Watergate committee was just there to attack Nixon and not to uncover the crimes that he and his cronies committed….and the propaganda arm of the repub party, fox news, is not even going to carry the hearings that start Thurs night but will present their regular lineup of liars to continue to make sure that their viewers don’t see the truth of the breadth of the corruption that is the modern repub party….and this fits the pattern from the day of January 6th, when the repubs all downplayed the seriousness of the attack and wanted to just sweep it under the rug so they can use the same tactics in every other election…and they are still rigging them across this country as they install far right Secretaries of state who will make sure that only the repubs can ever win another election…this is going on now folks and unless we get out to vote this fall, there won’t ever be another fair election in this country…and that is just the fact….and it won’t be reported by the media at all….geez…
Best jobs number in 52 years…
Well…I wonder how the media is going to spin this one….the numbers for first time unemployment claims came in at the lowest since 1969 last week with only 190,000 people filing…but the media will either ignore it or gin up some fake scandal and spend days reporting on it…like corded earbuds or 350 dollar pots….or the headline will read: “190,000 more people out of work!!!” You get what I’m saying…and I’ve bitched about that a lot lately but it is so frustrating that we are on the verge of the best two year economy in the history of the country if the big bank’s projections are correct…and yet people still think that the economy sucks really bad even though they are doing okay…and child poverty is down by 40%, and wages for the lower third of workers are up by 13% this year and are on track to rise more next year…and more people are changing jobs than ever before…and yet, crickets from the media…if the idiot trump had done even one of the many, many things that Biden has done to help the people, they would have run article after article about it and called it a miracle….but no, it’s like the media want Biden to fail or to make it look like he failed…we know the repubs want more people to die from the virus to make Biden look bad, but the media is supposed to be objective and report the news…and the economic numbers we’re seeing are good news…just no one knows it yet…geez…
