Well…as you could see in this election, Medicare for all has started to be pushed to the forefront of health care debate in this country by a lot of the newly elected dems…our new senator included…and of course, the insurance industry and right wing pundits are already out there with the long knives out saying it could never work, rationed care….and the rest of the bullshit that has left people with unaffordable health insurance premiums…I mean who can afford 1,400 dollars a month just for insurance? Not many and the repubs have made it much worse by ending the enhanced subsidies for the ACA policies that have seen prices rise by up to 50% this year…with all of this, something needs to be done and I think it’s a good thing to get the conversation started on our side and try to figure out if Medicare for all is the best way to get people insured…I think cutting out the insurance companies is a good start since they just add cost without benefits…and I have felt pretty good about my Medicare coverage…they paid the full 77K of my prostate surgery and all but 30 bucks of my skin cancer surgery….I couldn’t imagine have a family and not being able to afford health insurance for them but that is where we are in many cases…I do support Medicare for all to get us to where every other developed country is…healthcare that starts with birth and continues til death without having to worry about whether you can get coverage…geez…
