Well…have some time on my hands this morning with the temp dropping to 30 outside right now and that is way too damn cold to go out and work on the leaves…so I thought I’d come here to talk to my PA friends about the senate race there…the other night, there was the one and only debate between the carpetbagger Oz, and John Fetterman and if you listen to the modern media, the only story coming out of it was that Fetterman, who is recovering from a stroke just a month or so ago is not able to do the job as senator since he has symptoms of the stroke still and at times haltingly speaks and takes time to formulate answers…now, is the media trying to do the repubs work for them? I would focus on the policy that each candidate has put forward, and on that it was shown that Oz is just another repub who wants to take rights away from women in PA and showed it with this comment from the debate…when asked if women’s healthcare choices should be only between her and her doctor, Oz responded that the choice should be “between the woman, her doctor, and local government officials” yeah, you heard that right…for the most intimate medical decisions that a woman can make, Oz wants her to have to go to “local government officials” to get approval to save her life if there is a problem with a pregnancy or even if there’s not….now, PA men, how would you like it if you had to go to “local government officials” to get approval for a colonoscopy that could save your life? Or get approval from these same officials if you want to get a vasectomy or be treated for an STI? Do you have to bring one of these officials with you to your doctor’s appointment? Yeah, I know I’m using a little hyperbole but there is only one person in this race that will protect the privacy of all Americans and that is John Fetterman….and he will help to restore the rights of over half of this country to what they were under Roe…and Oz won’t…it’s that clear…vote Fetterman for a better US….geez….

Still thinking…
Well…still thinking about what to write but didn’t want to get farther behind so here we go…it has been good news that both Oregon and Pennsylvania have affirmed equal rights for gays over the past two days…and, they are using the ruling that I felt was important…the 14th amendment’s equal protection clause….there is no way these can be overturned unless the supreme court make up new laws again like they did in Citizens United…so, 18 wins in a row may not be enough to ensure these rights but it should be darn close….it is cool to watch the rights deniers like the national organization for marriage just keep on losing every case….and to hear them say the country is going to suffer the wrath of god with these rulings…what a bunch of backward idiots these people are….just go back to your churches and discriminate there…geez…
Let’s tackle voter fraud again…
Well…with the heating up of the controversy over the repub sponsored voter I.D. laws across the country, I thought I’d throw a few new facts that have surfaced over the past couple of days. First, let’s remember what the purpose of these laws are…they are to suppress the votes of people that are likely to vote for the dems…the poor, minorities, and college students, and, in Pennsylvania, that leads to almost 800,000 people (almost 10% of the voters in the state) that will not be able to vote under the law signed by their thug governor Chris Christie…and, if you are at all confused by the repubs public cries of widespread voter fraud, you just have to listen to Romney’s campaign chair from Pennsylvania who crowed to a crowd of Romney supporters that the voter I.D. law will ensure a Romney victory in the fall. I want people to remember what the truth is behind the numbers of recognized mis-voting….the Bushies did a study looking at 5 years of elections across the country and only found 86 cases…yep, 86 cases in the hundreds of millions of votes cast and even some of those were just people who voted that were not eligible for that election. So, the facts are that there is no voter fraud in the US and these laws are just another example of the repubs trying to rig another election that they can’t win on merit or ideas…when are we going to wake up to this nonsense and toss these un-American bums out? Geez…
