Well…it makes me feel good that the dems are finally growing a spine and are playing by the same rules as the repubs…over the years, the dems have made it their mission to make sure that the districts for congressional elections were fair…going as far as to pass laws that would have independent commissions draw the lines to make them as fair as possible…but that was only in blue states since the repubs sure as hell didn’t want fair districts since they would never win if they were fair…and over the past year, repubs across the country have done illegal gerrymandering to try to ensure they would have control of congress without winning it…it started in Texas, of course, when the idiot trump goaded the repubs there to rig the districts to try to keep the slim majority they had in the House…but, in a miracle, the dems said bullshit to that and started fighting fire with fire by doing their own gerrymandering in California that gave the dems 5 more seats, nullifying the shenanigans in red states…and they didn’t stop there, they just passed a law allowing gerrymandering in Virginia that is going to net the dems more seats…and the thing is that as the repubs dilute their voters, the dems even have a better chance to win…resulting in what wags called a “dummymander”…repubs shooting themselves in the foot as they try to cheat…I just hope this flashing of spine continues right up to and after the election…geez…
