Well…the idiot trump upped the trade wars yesterday by imposing tariffs on the entire world that is going to cost American consumers over 6 trillion dollars…a “trump tax” that is going to raise prices of everything everybody buys and fuel runaway inflation that will cost the average family thousands of dollars a year…living paycheck to paycheck? Start thinking about what day you aren’t going to eat every week…and one unintended consequence of these stupid, stupid tariffs is that countries around the world are forging new trade alliances that bypass these tariffs…and the poke in the eye to the idiot trump is Mexico and Canada teaming up to work with the EU and the UK to cut the US off completely from exporting to those counties who are our biggest trading partners…there is going to be a bloodbath in the stock markets this morning since idiot boy announced the tariffs after close of trading yesterday just so the crash didn’t happen while he was announcing them…so if you have a 401K, you are going to get screwed by trump this morning…how do you like that maga folks? You can consider this another “trump tax”…did you vote for 40% higher taxes? Yeah, I’m laughing at you idiots,,,I really do hope a lot of you go broke and lose your houses…nothing else will drag your asses out of your delusions…geez…

Well…damn, my jaw hurts from all of the wrenching on it yesterday and I only had a little over 400 calories for the day so that is why I feel so darn worn out today…okay, having 4 teeth removed and 2 1/2 hours in the dentist chair has a part in that, too…so I don’t know how much I’m going to do today…already took ibuprofen and tylenol for the pain but it’s not too bad…just want to get in front of it and make sure it doesn’t get really bad…the bleeding has stopped but the lower left was bad all night with huge clots shedding all night…ick…I am going to have to try to eat something today and I think I’ll try some battered pollock I got at DD with some steak fries…I did take a container of soup out of the freezer so I’ll have something easy to eat tomorrow…it’s only 33 degrees out here right now so any rides will be indoors today but I have no schedule at all…I should take the prescription of tylenol 3 in and drop it off so I can have that in reserve even though I don’t need it…not much to do today…just going to take it easy for a half hour or so and then get on the bike around 7am…just can’t force myself to eat anything yet and that will be a hard thing to overcome….more later…
Teeth are out…
Well…I was damn surprised to get a call from my dentist asking if I could come in today to get the teeth removed that we had planned for Friday…and I jumped at the chance so I didn’t have to think about it for two more days…it took 2 1/2 hours which was over twice what they had scheduled for Friday so I’m glad to have it done and be done with dental appointments until October 6th when I go in to get scanned for the partials…then 10 days and I’ll have them and this nightmare will be over…so there will be no meal tonight as I let the blood clot and the pain go away…my face is still numb since they had to give me the max numbing to get through and not be in pain for the whole thing…man, I’m worn out…and I’m having cocktails tonight…
Poor elon…
Well…I’m pretty sure ole elon is having a sad today since he found out he couldn’t buy a Wisconsin supreme court seat for one of his unqualified cronies…and he spent 25 million dollars to do it but elon is so toxic to most of the country that people said no way and elected a dem who has promised to follow the law and not ideology…and elon was so defeated that he said: “this supreme court race might determine the future of America and western civilization”…and yes, yes it has…and elon handing out million dollar checks to other cronies to buy their votes really turned off the people of Wisconsin and they won the race by an astounding 9 points…this is what we have to do to wrest control of our democracy from the unelected asshole who is wrecking this country…thank you Wisconsin! Geez…
April 2nd
Well…up at 5:16 this morning and I’m feeling pretty worn out so it’s going to be a chore getting going today…need to get on the bike by 6:30 so I can do the grocery run at 8:15…DD’s ad hasn’t updated so I think I’ll just stop there on the way back from Sternberg to see what they have…it’s going to rain and snow all day today and that sure isn’t April weather and it gets even worse when it’s going to be down in the 30′s for highs next week…this weather is wearing me out…oh, well…I read an entire book yesterday and have another one to do today so I can hit the library tomorrow for 5 more and I’m not sure why I’m reading so much…it’s a nice escape from the world I guess…don’t have a lot to do today other than the rides and grocery run and I can’t wait to have the day done…and it’s only 6am…might have to make more coffee today…I think I’m finally making progress on the plantar warts on my left sole and I’m walking around this morning with little pain for the first time in a year…damn, maintaining this old body is a lot of work…getting old is not for the weak hearted….more later…
Dental work is Friday…
Well…went in for the final consultation for my dental work today an have set the final 4 extractions for 9:30 am Friday and then have six months of no molars until I can get fitted for the partial dentures…it is going to be a chore chewing with just my front teeth but I’m sure I’ll live through it…I started and finished a book today and am going to try to do another one tomorrow so I can go to the library Thurs and get more books…and that makes 4 books since last Friday and that’s not bad…but I do have to remember that this is not a race but it feels good to read so much…I really do need to start looking for a new car tomorrow so I can get that whole process started…I did get some stuff done today with the dental appointment and two rides along with a load of laundry…tomorrow will be a three ride indoor day with the rain/snow that is coming in…I think I’m going to have to rebuild the drivetrain on the bike since it has started to skip over bumps but I have all of the parts for that downstairs and it will be nice to be able to adjust the rear shifter….okay…need to figure out what to watch tonight…
Travel to the US is cratering…
Well…with the thugs in the WH arresting and disappearing people who are here in the US legally, the entire world has issued travel warnings against coming to the US…and that is showing up in the numbers…travel to the US is down by 45% from a year ago and the airlines are cutting flights all over and into the country by over 75%…for later in the year since their forecasts are seeing the possibility of a 90% drop with the entire world looking elsewhere for vacations…so basically idiot boy is saying to everyone in the travel industry that he just doesn’t give a damn about them…just like he said to the auto industry that he doesn’t care if no one buys cars with the tariff caused price increases…why the media is not talking about this supposed “businessman” is a mystery to me…okay it’s not…since the MSM is all owned by billionaires and they sure don’t give a damn about a travel agent losing their job…look, the damage idiot boy has done to the economy is just now starting to show up in the numbers and it is going to be a bloodbath in the second quarter with growth down to 0 in the first and trending toward negative for the second…nice job maga…you did this and I hope it hurts you as a reward for your stupidity…geez…
April 1st
Well…that was a crappy night of sleep and I was up at 5:06 and need to get on the bike by 5:45 to get two rides in before I have to be at the dentist at 8:30…this day is really going to suck but I just need to grit what teeth I have left and get it over with…it’s only 22 degrees out here right now and there is no warm up coming for the next 10 days so it looks like April is going to be a lost month and spring isn’t going to come until May…and I have to not let that depress me like everything else seems to be doing…I do need to order a new prescription for my big toenails to pick up tomorrow so the grocery run won’t start til later with the pharmacy not opening until 9am…but I may run over to Sternberg to get started earlier especially if I have thing to get at DD…figuring out all new things to eat is going to be a pain in the butt but I do have some ideas and there will be lots of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies in there…I wonder if I’ll be able to chew the last blt I have to make today of if I’ll have to refreeze what’s left to eat later…not much to do today…just getting through the dentist and then reading looks like today’s activities…more later…
Last day to chew…
Well…have been pretty depressed all day with the dental work starting tomorrow and not being able to chew for months as they pull three more teeth and the we have to let the swelling go completely down before they can fit me with the partial dentures…another 861 bucks out of my pocket but I think we’re getting to the end of it…I hope…these endless appointments with my doctor and dentist are starting to get really old…and I just want them to end…not sure if they are going to pull all three teeth tomorrow but I hope they do so we can just get it over with…so I’m not going to feel like doing much the rest of the week…but I am going to have cocktails tomorrow to help me deal with it…didn’t get much done today other than the two rides and reading and no cocktails tonight since I want to feel okay with all of the work tomorrow…just want to get it over with…
Goodbye doctors…
Well…gee, you wouldn’t think that putting a vaccine denying moron in charge of the health system in the US would have any effect at all…but it has and it is stunning…first, the attacks on Canada by the idiot trump has all but stopped Canadian doctors from moving to the US for open jobs that we don’t have enough doctors to fill…and thousands of US doctors have been looking to move to Canada with all of the uncertainty that trump’s wrecking ball attacks on medical research has imposed…pair that with the draconian abortion laws that have been passed in red states that are tying doctor’s hands from saving women’s lives and doctors are saying enough…they are not only leaving red states but now they many of them are trying to leave the country just to get away from the maga bullshit they have to put up with every day….and who knows…my doctor is from Panama and could be deported at any time…that is how crazy things have gotten in the US…and soon there won’t be any doctors left here if this crap keeps up…geez…
