Well….it was an okay day yesterday and some of the snow melted so that was cool….and today is supposed to be over 40 so more of it will go….slept okay last night but I now know I have a bug of some sort since my lungs are involved and I am coughing a lot…damn….at least my back is okay today but the dry weather has brought back the cracks in my heels that hurt like crazy when I walk….that’s pretty normal for the winter but I really don’t need more pain….just don’t have any energy this morning so it may be a pretty low key day…hmmm…kinda like every day…..I do have to clean a little but I am feeling a little warm so I won’t overdo it…..not much to do today…going to just have more coffee and see how I feel before I commit to doing much…more later…

What did Snyder know and when did he know it?
Well…I know the title is somewhat of a cliche, but I think it gets to the crux of the matter in the Flint water crisis…not only did they do a minimum of 1.5 billion dollars in damage to the Flint water system by choosing to not treat the Flint river water to save a couple hundred thousand a year, but did they know they were doing it? Ole Snyder has said he didn’t hear of the problems until October 1st of last year, even though they had been going on for over a year, but then why were members of his staff ordering the installation of water filters in Flint back in July? It appears that ole Snyder is just another of the lying repubs who really don’t give a damn about anyone but the rich and business…just like ole GW did with New Orleans and the poor there, ole Snyder has done to Flint…permanent damage to the state and it’s people to serve their god of tax cuts and austerity…he should be in jail…
January 14th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool….didn’t get much else done and today looks the same other than I will come back for another one…you know that pool days put me behind so that is why no second one yesterday….slept okay last night and the congestion in my lungs is breaking up so that is a good thing…and my back continues to improve to the point that I have had no pain so far today….it is going to be weird to not have pain since it has been more than 6 weeks since it started to hurt…but, I’ll take it…now I just need the pain to not move to some other part of my body like it normally does….not much to do today…going to clean a little and watch some soccer this aft but that is about it…more later…
January 13th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and my back has gotten a little better to the point that the pain is only intermittent and that is a relief…had a really bad night of sleep last night and a lot of it was from the wheezing that has come with the little bug I’ve had a few days now…don’t feel bad just coughing and a plugged up head so I guess I can live with it…didn’t get much done yesterday since I got off schedule with the internet being down all morning…and, I really didn’t have much to do so not doing it didn’t bother me too much…I am really tired of the snow and there is supposed to be another 5 inches this aft so the run out to shoot pool might be a little dicey….but, I’ve seen worse so we’ll see how it goes…will just have to shift into go-slow mode and leave a little earlier….not much to do today…pool, and then nothing really….oh, and win the powerball…if that happens, there will only be one more of these as I drive off into the sunset in my Ferrari….more later…
A little political stuff…
Well…there have been a few developments in politics in the past few days but I’m not sure if they have given me enough to do a whole one on each, so I guess I’ll just start and see what happens. On our side, it looks like the race is tightening in Iowa with the latest polls showing it to be close…not quite a dead heat but Bernie has been gaining…or, Hillary has been sliding back and now we see what is going to happen from the Hillary camp…they are now starting to attack Bernie and I had hoped that we would have stuck to the issues instead of the nastiness that flows from the right….but, I guess it’s politics and to be expected…especially when Hillary was the anointed one back in 08 and she lost that one, too…then we have the latest where Carly and Rand have been demoted to the “kiddie” table debate and ole Rand is throwing a hissy fit about it…saying that he won’t participate…basically saying that the rules don’t apply to him…just like every other repub when they don’t get their way…what a bunch of losers…geez….

Well….running late this morning since my internet has been down since I got up….and it is still not working right….but, I guess I’ll try to get a short one out…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool….slept okay but have been up since really early and I’m not sure what that is about…my back is almost okay again…have been getting up and down with no pain…or just a shadow of pain and I can live with that….another night of snow and I am tired of it already….but, it is better than last year so I better just live with it and not let it bug me….not much to do today….need to do some work around here but that is about it…more later…
RIP David Bowie
Well…these are never easy….yesterday, David Bowie died at 69…the weird thing is, even with all of the news I read, I never heard that he was even sick…just about the new album that just came out and the great reviews it got….my first memory of hearing David was the song “Space Oddity” which I really liked at the time but it was a while after that, I think the “Ziggy Stardust” time that I really started to listen to his other stuff and became a huge fan…I think there was a year in the late 70’s that he was almost all I listened to…his double live album being the centerpiece to that time along with “Station to Station”. For some reason, the software that came with my new mp-3 player erased all my Bowie… restoring that seems like a good project for the day…I need to listen to “Young Americans” and “Let’s Dance” today….

January 11th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done…I did go out and have a couple with G and it was pleasant so I may do that again…but that put me way ahead on cocktails so I and feeling it today…slept okay but on my right shoulder and now that pain is added to the back pain that came back yesterday…oh, well….it was only 13 degrees when I went out to get the papers this morning and I was hoping that we wouldn’t see much of that this year…but, it looks like the entire week is going to be cold but I guess it’s Michigan so I just have to get used to it…I could use some more sleep so maybe there will be a nap later….not much to do today…I am going to clean some once I get started and make some pork loin for lunch…and I do have to come back here and do one on David Bowie who died yesterday at 69….rip….
January 10th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I still didn’t get much done…I did get the chance to watch Man U stink up the place again and I am thinking of moving my allegiance to Everton or Spurs….just awful soccer…slept okay and had a few dreams that I don’t remember and that is a shame…the storm that was supposed to be so bad dropped about 2 inches of snow and now it’s over….big deal winter storm….it is winter in Michigan and I can’t understand how they get so breathless when it is going to snow…I will have to clean the car off later today since it is going to be the coldest week of the year so far…my back seems to have plateaued with some pain but it is low enough to live with without painkillers so I can live with it…not much to do today….going to just veg it out and watch some soccer…and maybe clean a little but I’m not sure about that….more later…

Well…have been reading quite a few articles that talk about how the pundits on the right are attacking ole Trump since he ‘doesn’t represent the republican party’s values”…and then I just have to laugh my butt off….what values are they talking about? Gutting Social Security? Hating everyone that is not a christian or white? Taking away healthcare from millions? Giving the rich more and more of the country? Having more and more guns everywhere? Closing the border to Muslims? Cheating to win elections? I hate to break it to the pundits….this is EXACTLY the repub party these days….the Donald is channeling the id of the party and has taken what were dog whistles and turned them into shouts and made it acceptable to bring all the meanness and hatred to the surface for all to see…so the next time you say this isn’t “your” repub party you are either stupid or lying…or both….just stfu…..
