Well…just got back from the long run out to Ada to shoot pool and had a lot of fun…the car made it with no problems and I even was able to put the top down on the way back and that always makes traveling more fun…but the wind was blowing the car all over the road on the way back and it’s howling out here right now…so much so I can hear it over the Man U match that is on right now…I want to check on the hose clamps that hold the ends of the hose that I replace just to make sure they are still tight…but right now, I am just going to watch some soccer and try to find a topic to write about….more later…

Well…damn, up at 5 again and out of bed at 6 and I am worn out today…but, I haven’t had any coffee yet so that may be part of it…when it gets warmer, I’m going to have to get the hose out to wash all of the coolant off the engine compartment of the car…it went everywhere with the hose failing yesterday and I really do hate the smell of coolant…I think I have the car fixed but my hands are pretty damaged with burn and cuts on them from the work yesterday…I’m getting too old for this crap…my back is sore from leaning in to work on the hose and I think I’ll need to take something for it before I run out to Ada….didn’t get anything done yesterday but work on the car and today will be the same with shooting pool…it usually takes a few days to get the air out of the cooling system so I’m going to put a gallon of pre mix in the trunk again and hope for the best….think I’ll put the heating pad on my back for the second cup of coffee…not much to do today…just the grocery run and then out for pool and I hope the car survives it…more later….

Well…as you can see, I didn’t come back for another one since my day has been taken up working on the car…on the way to shoot pool out in Ada, I blew a heater hose and dumped all of the coolant out on the ground 10 miles outside of Muskegon…luckily, I had put a gallon of premix in the trunk so I was able to get it back here with just one stop at a car dealership to get some water…then I spent the afternoon trying to find a special hose and found the only one in Muskegon that cost me 23 bucks and lots of work to put the new one in and replace the temporary fix that I needed to do to be able to drive to get the new hose…and the one that split had a two inch long one in it and dumped all of the coolant on the exhaust, causing huge clouds of white smoke that I can still smell….it’s been that kind of day…but I think it’s fixed…after putting the new hose in, I took it out for a drive where I ran it over 70 for a couple of miles…and just went out to check it to make sure it’s not leaking and it appears I have it installed right…but I did burn my right thumb working on the car when it was still hot…okay, I’ll stop complaining now…it appears the car survived the overheating and I may have been quick enough to shut it off when it got hot…this is the second time I’ve replaced this hose…the last time it just started to seep so I could change it before it failed…

Well…damn, I feel worn out today and it’s a lot of work just to do this right now…the good news I got yesterday led to a bit of celebrating last night and I’m feeling it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but the bike ride but I don’t think I’m riding today with the pain that came with it…might try to ride downstairs but I can still feel the damage from yesterday and that makes me a little hesitant….I was really hoping that it would rain this morning and it would clean the salt out of the car but it looks like it is moving out and dry…not quite warm enough to put the top down for the run out to Ada today but I’ll get it down next week with the warm up that is coming…going out to shoot pool today and I’m looking forward to that…not sure when the last time was and I have to remember to take the quarters I have in the bowl in my bedroom…it’s a 100 mile round trip and the car can use some mileage on it…I’m not dying! That was the the takeaway from talking to the urologist yesterday and I don’t think I thought I ever was…just had a feeling that things were going to be okay and it’s nice to be right…not much to do today…just the run out to shoot pool and then back here to just veg out the day….it’s mug shot day for the idiot boy but I’ll be on the road while that happen…darn…more later…

Well…the results are in from my biopsy I had Friday…the urologist called me this afternoon and told me that while they did find some cancer cells in one sample, it’s as low an amount that you can have and still consider it cancer…so no aggressive stuff and I have the lowest Gleason score you can get…that’s how they measure cancer of the prostate…but she does want to see what the hard spot is so she is scheduling an MRI in a couple of months to take a look at it and then we’ll see if it needs treatment or if I’m at the watch and wait stage….I think that rates a cocktail for tonight….

Well…just can’t get my head into political mode today but I will keep trying as the day goes on…made the mistake of leaving my glasses on when I walked into the bathroom today, and that resulted in me cleaning the whole thing including the shower…and today is the second day off the bike and I don’t mind…I will be back on it to do an outside ride tomorrow or two since it’s supposed to be in the mid 50’s so I’ll be out in shorts, too, but not til later in the day…I did switch back to the electric toothbrush today with no pain from it and I really like how clean my teeth are…I was pretty apprehensive when I started it but now it’s okay…going to stay with only one meal a day from now on and that might get me to my goal of 160 pounds by the end of summer….and I really don’t miss the extra food…more later….

Well…what a waste of a night…watched, or tried to watch the new “Avatar” movie and just got bored with it before the end…no movie should be three hours long…had an okay day yesterday but took it easy and didn’t do much but plant some tomato seeds that had sprouted in the wet paper towels and need to plant the few green pepper seeds that are ready…put a bunch of new Jalapeno and green pepper seeds in since I didn’t have any survive last year….looks like I’m going to have enough beans this year with already having 4 up and planting a bunch that have sprouted a few days ago…I may put some of the yellow ones in paper towel today to ensure I have a few of those, too…I really do need to clean the bathroom today but I’m not feeling it right now…woke up this morning at around 6:15 but I couldn’t get out of bed til a little after 7 and I’m feeling pretty worn out…and my right elbow is hurting for some reason…damn I’m old…I sure wish I could get on the bike today since it’s going to  be warm enough to ride outdoors today and the sun is shining…damn, I may try to go out since I don’t hurt from the biopsy…my daughter sent me a 76 page document on prostate cancer and I’m more concerned now that I’ve read it…there doesn’t appear to be any good outcomes from treatment and my life is going to suck after it….oh, well…not much to do today…still on the one meal strategy that I think will be permanent until I get down to 160 pounds and I think I’ll need to lose 10 more to get there…and that will be 40 pounds down from a year ago and I guess that should be something to celebrate but I don’t feel like that right now…more later…

Well…no, I’m not going to do a groan inducing April fool’s joke but I didn’t just want to do another one with “got some work done” title…it’s been an okay day today and haven’t had any pain from the biopsy yesterday so I’ll take that…I may try to get on the bike Monday since it’s going to be 54 and I need to get outside…we’ll see…it’s a weird coincidence that I was running out of shavers and got three coupons in the little paper for 3 bucks off the ones I use so that will be half price and I’ll fill my stock back up that will last me a year or so…and I have a 3 buck coupon for Bounty that Meijers has on sale so I can get 6 mega rolls for 8 bucks and that’s not a bad deal…I did have a bunch of tomato seeds sprout in the wet paper towel I had them in so I may have enough if they all come up..already have a couple that came up in the dirt so I should have a dozen or so to plant…had to open a new pack of green pepper seeds since the old ones weren’t sprouting and I want to have at least 6 plants this year…it looks like I’ll have enough beans this year since I have 6 plants up and have a few more that I planted yesterday…I could use a dozen plants since I love fresh green beans…and I have a new type of beans that I planted 8 of…might have to extend the garden to take all the new stuff I am just going to plant and not start them ahead of time…another 4 feet should do it…okay, I’m done for the day…going to watch the three and a half hour “Avatar” movie and that should cover the whole night…

Well…darn, running late today with not getting out of bed til 7 or so but that means I slept all night and I’ll take it…but, with having cocktails for the first time this week last night, I feel a little slow this morning but I can have coffee and that will help…it’s a little strange to not be able to get on the bike today but it is freeing too….it opens up my day and I can do whatever I want at whatever pace I want but I don’t want to get used to that…I need the discipline that riding gives me and I like that I’ve lost a lot of weight from it, too….even with the biopsy yesterday, I had a good day but damn, it was really weird and I hope I don’t have to go through that again…I’ve been lucky to get to my age with no health problems and I’d like that to continue…but I know there is treatment of some sort in my future and I wonder what that will be….hmmmm….man, I’m hungry this morning and I never feel that way…for as long as I can remember, food has been fuel to me and nothing more…I do have asparagus to steam for today’s meal and I am looking forward to that…I know I’m going to have to make a noise call today on the drug dealers house today and that is a pain in the butt…ha, that’s funny after the biopsy yesterday….not much to do today….going to just take it easy today and watch some soccer and F1 qualifying….more later…

Well…that was a little unpleasant but the biopsy is done and now I wait to find out if it’s going to kill me or not…should be on mychart next week some time…I do like my doctor and the rest of the people at UM…we even had some laughs during the procedure…yeah, I’m weird…they had music playing during it and when “Maggie May” by Rod Stewart came on the nurse assisting started to since along to it…pretty damn surreal….but nice
