Well…yep, it looks like no political one today since it is getting late and I am worn out from working around here all day…I did have a little time to take it easy and watch part of a soccer match but after Leicester got down 2 to 0, I lost interest and decided to get the branches that I cut down Thursday cut up and and packed so I can put them out Monday night…and I did all of it with my 18 inch Stanley pruning saw…either that saw is the sharpest one ever, or the branches were the softest wood ever since even the ones that were close to 4 inches thick took less than a minute to cut through and I didn’t need my brothers chain saw…well…I still have one log that is about 5 feet long and about 7 inches thick that I still need to cut up but I stashed it beside the garage for now and will worry about that later…and I still have some dead branches on the trees that I should take down but I’ve done enough for today so that will wait a while…after all, I did get a 15 mile ride in with a 20 mph wind this morning and that was pretty brutal along with all of the cleanup work….damn, I have blisters on my fingers from tying the nylon string I used to tie up the bundles and that is going to hurt later…oh, well….

Well…forgot to write about this little bit of number coincidence today…can you guess what it means? Yep…it’s today’s date…4/3/21…something that is kind of cool to see and one of those things that gives me a little smile…of course it only means something here in the US…in Europe it is 3/4/21 since they put the day first and the month second…what does it mean? Nothing, really…my brain just is weird at times….

Well…damn, it feels good to get up and have everything working again so I can read the news and come here to do this…I wasn’t good last night so I feel a bit slow this morning and I think that was the last night for a while since I prefer getting up and feeling good…I slept okay last night but I’m back to having no dreams and that sucks a little…and I am just damn sore everywhere from cutting the branches Thursday and I think it’s going to take a while for that to go away…and I still need to cut the branches up and bundle them for the trash people Tuesday but I can live with it if I don’t get them out this week….I am going to finally get back on the bike today since it will be 43 by 10 am and I can get out in half thermasuit but will still need gloves…I wonder where the hell spring is? It’s frickin April and I’m still freezing my butt off on the bike? Oh, well…it will be good to just get out and start getting back to my normal routine…but, I can hear the wind so it is going to be a lot of work on the bike….not much to do today…just going to revel in having things working around here again and start thinking about getting started on painting the living room but I’m not going to rush it….still need to take it easy for a bit and just live for a change…and watch some soccer this morning…finally….more later….

Well…you know I’ve been stuck in the comcast jungle for the past day and a half and the reason for it is the stupidest damn thing I’ve ever heard…after having the technician here for 3 hours or so…oh, and he was a good one that worked his butt off to get everything done…none of it that was the problem but he needed to update the exterior splitters and grounds along with shortening the cable from the pole so it doesn’t sag anymore…the problem was that my modem had to be assigned to this house and changed from the Valley house…but they wouldn’t do it because…wait for it….they owed me money….I had a balance of $24.68 that they owed me and were treating it as money I owed them so there policy is that you can’t transfer a modem from one account to another if there is an outstanding balance…I guess none of the morons who I talked to could see the minus sign in front of the numbers…I could…but none of the damn 4 people I talked to today could….and, without the tech, there was no way I could of gotten through to them and got the modem changed. The tech said he had never seen that before and he had been working for comcast since 1997…and he is going to make a report up to the bigwigs describing what I went through and he thinks I may get a free month out of it…that would be cool but I just want my money back and to never have to talk to them again…geez…

Well….damn that took some time…but I am hoping things are getting back to normal now…not having the internet is a pain in the butt…haven’t been able to read the news or do this for two days and that sucks…especially since things have happened that I want to share…I did sleep okay last night and feel okay even with having one cocktail last night…just couldn’t take the boredom of having only one channel to watch on the tv….haven’t been out on the bike in three days with it being so damn cold out here…but that will change tomorrow…might even be able to go out in shorts…and that would be cool…I did get my kitchen drain fixed yesterday and a lot of it is thanks to my brother….had to cut the drain pipe and hammer out the clog since it was like concrete in the pipe and neither drain cleaner or the snake we put through it would do the job….but, it is fixed now and runs like normal and it is going to be cool to do the dishes in the kitchen sink without having to think about doing it so damn fast before the sink would fill up….and the tech liked what I did to get the tree branches out of the way so I feel good about that after working on it for hours yesterday…not much to do today…just want to get caught up on the news and and eat something since I just realized I haven’t done yet today and it’s after one….more later….

Well…I’m back…after almost two days of not having internet, they finally got everything fixed and things are running again….had a great tech that stayed here until he fixed the screw ups that comcast had in my account…so, going back the the normal schedule here right now….

Well…I’m just having one of those days that I don’t feel like suiting up in full thermasuit and braving the wind to get a ride in today…and I am trying to not feel guilty about it. I wonder if being good offsets the lack of motivation I feel today? I sure hope it does since the only thing I want to do is sit here and watch a little tv…I did get half of the basement cleaned up and the stuff put away and I cooked some chicken in a mushroom cream sauce over brown rice that came out pretty good so maybe that’s enough to do for one day? Sure hope so since I’m pretty much resigned to taking it easy the rest of the day…cripes, I haven’t even taken a shower yet and it’s almost 1 pm….and I’m not motivated to do that even…so can I call this a wasted day? Not really wasted but with less accomplishment than I hoped for…but, I still haven’t taken any time off to rest after the past few months of busting my butt…maybe this half day will have to do?

Well…Okay, didn’t get up for the second time until almost 6:30 so I guess that’s something….and I had a really busy day yesterday trying to get a bunch of stuff sorted out that I did successfully and that gave me a little bit of a relief…only have one more thing to get done and that is to get my mortgage set up to come out of my checking account automatically so I don’t have to write checks to pay it…I did sleep okay last night even if I tossed and turned a bunch and slept on my right shoulder again but that pain went away after I got off it….not sure what I’m going to do for the next two cold days with not getting on the bike but I think one thing is going to be cooking with my new cookware today…going to make some chicken thighs in a mushroom cream sauce with brown rice and I have a deep sauce pan in the new set that will be perfect for a one skillet meal….I’m looking forward to something other than ham that I’ve had for the past week…I may get out for more yard work today but I probably should start the indoor work to get this place organized and get the rest of my stuff put away…we’ll see….not much to do today….just cooking and cleaning up but not until I have more coffee and read the news…and I need to check to see if anyone won the Mega last night….more later…

Well…damn, another busy day and I’m just now getting the first chance to breathe…the whole thing started with doing the grocery run today since I wanted to get my Mega tickets for tonight and I had to stop at the dollar store for more sunscreen and a new set of sunglasses for riding…then over to Aldi’s for a bunch of stuff to make mushroom chicken tomorrow in one of my new pots and then to Meijers for the rest of the things I need…cheap day with not buying any booze…I think I only spent about 20 bucks at both aldi’s and Meijers combined so that was cool…and then over to the bank to cash and deposit my 600 buck check and then back here…before I got started, I had to call PNC bank to make sure my first house payment got applied to my account and get a pin to set up my online banking with them…after I got back here I had two hours on the phone with comcast trying to get my accounts straightened out and finally got that done so now I can take a break and just relax for a bit…no bike ride today since the wind is just howling out here and I had to weigh down my leaf bags to keep them from blowing away until they picked them up this afternoon….this has been a lot more work than I wanted to do but that takes care of everything that I had to do this week other than pay a bunch of bills that will burn through another 1200 bucks before it’s all over…but the next big thing that I have to pay for is my taxes and car insurance at the end of August…so I need to start saving right now for that…that should be another two grand…yikes…

Well…running about on time for a change with getting up around 6 but with having trouble getting to sleep last night I only got about 5 hours but I feel okay this morning with being good last night…my hands and arms are sore again today with all of the chopping and raking I did on the lawn yesterday but I did get the back of the yard finished and will probably start work around the house today…need to trim the long grass around the foundation and do another repair on the fence to keep animals from getting through it…and I think I need to buy a reciprocating saw from HF to cut the brush out of the fence, too…but I am going to wait for the 1400 dollar check to come before I do that…and that should be next week…I do need to get a lawnmower, too, and my oldest brother said he had one so I need to check that out before I burn 500 bucks on a new one…but, I need a self-propelled one since this is a pretty big yard….and I want a mulcher and bagger, too, so we’ll see….and once I get the grass cut out of the fence, I’m going to treat the fenceline with grass killer so I don’t have to trim it too much….not much to do today…it’s going to be a busy one with doing the grocery run today and hitting the bank and phone calls to comcast and the new bank that now has my mortgage so make sure the check they cashed for the first morgtage payment was applied to my loan…looks like I may not get on the bike today with the wind blowing over 25 already and getting gusty later today….more later…
