Well…it was an okay day yesterday but with the rain, I didn’t get to ride the bike…and when the rain changed over to snow in the aft, I just died a little…it is too early for that crap…I’m still in shorts after all…and, this morning, I had to use the hot water method to get the car doors open since the thing had frozen into a solid block of ice….just not ready for this…there is one weird thing about today….it is 11/12/13…just a little fact….slept like crap but still feel better than with the sleeping pills so I guess I’ll just have to live with it and go forward…there were some weird dreams with a kid I went to grade school in them…couldn’t remember his last name until right now….that is weird, too….not much to do today…I may take a second day off the bike since there will be ice on the trail and I’m not sure if I want to deal with that yet….I do have a few things to do around here so maybe that will keep me busy…
Oh, one last thing…happy birthday to Neil Young who turns 68 today….
Well…not sure where my head is at this morning..almost forgot to come here and do this after being over at Kos…it was an okay day yesterday but the bug is still here and I am getting really tired of it…I think I said that yesterday, too….didn’t get anything done at all but some laundry and that is contributing to the general malaise I’m feeling…just don’t want to do anything right now…maybe a workout will help? The Lions even won and that didn’t help….I did sleep okay last night so I feel somewhat okay today but, with it raining, I may not get on the bike today…and, since it is Veteran’s day, the battery for the walkman won’t be coming in the mail today…just another little disappointment in a sea of them…not much to do today…I do have to cook and I am going to try a new method for cooking pork loin….500 degrees preheat and then shut the oven off for an hour…weird…more later…
Well…it was a busy day for the first part of it yesterday…I did get the insides of the winter wheels painted, made soup…which came out the best of any that I’ve made so far…and started to clean..but, just started…that is something I need to continue today….slept okay but the damn cold is still with me and I woke up sneezing which continues right now and I am getting really, really, tired of it…I’m getting really tired of the dead battery in my walkman, too, but I hope the new one will be here in a couple of days…it is just no where near as much fun riding without it….not much to do today….I do have to get the bike ride in and then do some laundry but that is about it…it’s leftover day so I don’t even need to cook….more later…
Well….have just been watching a special on the Who’s “Quadrophenia” that was talking to the remaining band members about making the album…and one thing struck me..or a thought struck me when they were showing “Love, reign oe’r me”, one of my favorite Who songs when it was being done live back in ’73… I’ve started to not want to share the emotionally wrenching songs with a crowd…I am starting to prefer to listen to those alone since the reactions of others pollute what I’m feeling…or, maybe it’s that you have to be guarded in public settings and keep the mask on that you show to the world? I guess I just don’t want to share the moment with anyone…maybe that is a product of being alone most of the time? Who knows? Now that would have been a title for a Who album….
Well…it was a long day yesterday and I still feel like crap today…but, it is the same pattern I seem to have for every cold…start feeling better and then relapse…feeling worse than I did before…but, don’t have much to do today so I can take it easy…after I ride the bike and make soup and paint the insides of the winter wheels….then I’ll take it easy…I did win at pool yesterday and made some good shots so that is something….slept okay for a third night without the sleeping pills so I feel good about that, too….but, no dreams to speak of and that is kind of bad…but, I’ll live through it….I do have to come back and do three more of these today to get caught up so that will be something…I do have the soup on already but that takes all day to get the chicken carcasses to melt down…more later…
Well…I am sitting here doing this while I wait for the car to thaw out…it is coated with ice and I just don’t want that to happen yet…it was just another lay low day yesterday while I wait for the bug to leave…and it hasn’t yet so the lungs are still crappy…so, didn’t get much done yesterday…and that looks like it will be the pattern for today, too….can’t continue to skip the bike so I will have to do that but that will be it…other than pool, that is….slept okay with the second day without a sleeping pill so it looks like that pattern is broken…..okay, I need to get out to get the papers and have my coffee so I’ll end here…more later…
Well….running early again today and part of it is that I was up really early with some weird dreams that included giants, wild pigs, and other strange stuff…and it was a no cocktail, no sleeping pill night that was not as bad as I expected it to be….so, I may do it again tonight to see how bad it is going to be…it was an okay day yesterday but I felt like crap again with the same damn bug I’ve had for a week now and I was coughing again, and again….it will be interesting to see how I feel today…hope it will be better…I do need to accomplish some stuff today…just don’t want another no energy day…the guilts will envelop me if I do…not much to do today…I did get an e-mail that said my battery for the walkman has been shipped…should be here in a week or so so that will be cool…I do have the grocery run today so I will finally have some food here and then have to get back on the bike today….more later…
Well…running early today…when was the last time you heard that? Just knew I wasn’t going to sleep anymore so I decided to get up and ease into the day…had some weird dreams that included me fighting…and, I’ve never been in a fight in my life….weird…I did bring the winter wheels in too soon yesterday so the place smells like paint…and I do need to do the insides of them, too…and it looks like Sat will be the day for that….I am still sore all over with the bad right lower back pain that I haven’t had in a while…but, today looks like a day off since it is going to rain all day but I do need to get my hair cut this morning since I made a little cash yesterday…going to be able to buy food for another week, too, so that made yesterday okay…not much to do today…it’s a resume day after I work out and get the hair cut…and there will be venison today…so that will probably be lunch…more later…
Well…it was a long, boring day yesterday and I am still kind of laying low from the bug I’ve had since last week…feel a little better today but now the lower back hurts like crazy and I’m not sure how I hurt it…it’s not an achy, flu-like thing but the dull pain that I had for years…and I thought it would go away permanently after I lost some weight but, no such luck….slept like normal last night and had another dream about disappearing Miatas again and boats…which was kind of weird…I do have some things to do today after I get the ride in again and I may even be able to go out in shorts…it’s over 50 right now so that may be doable…and, I did order the new battery for the walkman yesterday since I only get about three songs now before it goes dead….should be here by the weekend but I can’t understand how they can sell it for 14 bucks including shipping…it must cost more than 14 bucks to ship from Hong Kong…more later….
Well…this one is going to be a mish mash of various types of these…or, maybe I should separate them to get caught up? That sounds like a plan so here goes…I did have to break down and buy a new battery for the walkman today…I just do not like riding the bike without music and it was only 14 bucks so I thought I just get it done…and, to have all my music no longer available is a big pain in the butt…I got through three songs on the ride today before the battery gave out but I kept the buds in the ears even after that…it is just too loud next to the e-way to take them out…makes for a very unpleasant ride….should have the new battery by the end of the week if all goes well….and the novelty of listening to the radio in the car is starting to fade with the huge quantity of commercials that they have on….okay…that’s it for now…I do have a few things to do so I should get doing them…more later…
