Well…the big day is finally here and I am still not sure how I feel about it…I mean, being 60 is okay…I really don’t feel any different than I did yesterday but it is still that I’m not in my fifties anymore…and it feels like the possibilities that were there in my 50’s are gradually going away….slept okay last night but it just doesn’t seem to mean much…okay, not feeling this right now so I’m going over to Kos and do a couple of comments…more later…

Well…I was hoping that this one would be the 2500th one that I’ve done…that would be some kind of cool coincidence..but, it’s not…only 2453 so I guess it’s nothing special…it’s just kind of weird to think that I’m not going to be in my 50’s any more in just a few hours….that is something that I am having a little trouble wrapping my head around….oh, well….I did take the drive down to the Gilmore museum today and it was kind of fun…only had three cars from the club on the drive but it was cool that we had an NA, an NB, and an NC on the drive so it was kind of a rolling show of the evolution of the Miata….other than that, it has been uneventful today….I think I’ll go make the final cocktails as a fifty something….and try not to dread the big 6-0….might even stay up til midnight just to see it come in….who knows?

Well…it’s the last day of my 50’s and I’m not sure how I feel about that…it was an okay day yesterday and I finally won at pool again so that was okay…slept okay but repair dreams again for the car…not sure what that is about but I’m not going to think about it…I may take a drive down to k-zoo today to look at the british cars at the Gilmore museum…the Miata club is even driving down but I’m not sure I am going to go or not…that would mean skipping the bike ride and I’m not sure I want to have that much guilt today….okay…this isn’t really working so I am going to come back later for more…need some more coffee…

Well…it was a long day with lots of traveling in it yesterday but the car was flawless…have to remember to use the sunscreen more since I have a pretty good burn from being in the car for 4 hours….but the dad stuff was successful so that’s a good thing…and got a surprise over there that I am going to have the second one engaged next Friday….I am pretty happy that the kids are all moving on in their lives…makes me smile…slept okay last night and had Miata repair dreams in the early morning that were okay…I did remember the old balled up newspaper trick to get the glass clean in the car and it worked pretty well so I am happy with that….not much to do today….and that one’s true…just the bike ride and cleaning…need to eat more today since I didn’t get to 1,000 cals yesterday and I am going to feel it today….more later

Well…running late again today and there is no reason for it other than I’m just running late today…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get the car cleaned but have to do the windows again…have never had a car that it is so hard to get the film off the windows…and I do need to get it done now since I have to run over to the other side of the state today….no pool today but have some dad responsibilities to take care of…so, I’d better get the bike ride in and get started…want to be over there by noon or so…more later…

Well…sitting here waiting for the coffee to finish so I thought I’d get this done…it was an okay day yesterday and it was fun to get out to have a couple with G…other than that, it was just another boring day here in unemployment land…only four more days until the big one and I have been thinking of doing kind of a countdown thing here…not sure what form that would take but I guess that’s my job to figure it out…slept okay but stayed up late and with the cocktails, I’m running a little slow today…I do need to wash the car but that is about it…no food to cook since I have leftovers…yep, a really, really boring kind of day coming up…more later…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I made it into a cocktail night in early celebration of the big 6-0 coming next week so I don’t feel as good as I did yesterday…and the heat is already almost too much and is going to make the bike ride a little iffy this morning…came back yesterday soaked from head to toe and ran out of water before the last stop…will have to figure that out today…slept okay last night but that’s about it…didn’t get much accomplished yesterday…but I am going to go out today and try to find some black raspberries to pick for my one splurge in food…vanilla ice cream with the berries is a birthday tradition that I have observed since I was about 5 and want it to continue….more later…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did accomplish a few things but not enough….and I was good for another day so I feel okay this morning…slept okay, too, but I am sore for some reason….have to get some ibuprofen since I am again chasing the tendonitus from joint to joint just like last summer….and now it is in all four major joints and that is a pain…I do need to do the grocery run today since I am out of everything and I do like to eat…well, need to eat…not sure how much I like it anymore…nothing really tastes good to me so I guess I’m back to thinking of food as just fuel…maybe if I change it up and try some new stuff that will change…who knows? Not much to do today…and that is the truth…want to wash the car but it looks like rain again so that may have to wait….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I was good last night so I feel pretty good today…still didn’t sleep much but that’s the new normal and I’m not going to bitch about it….did talk to T yesterday a few times and that was nice and I made some money so it looks like I have enough for groceries through the end of the month…not sure yet if I want to turn this week into birthday week and raise hell all week…probably not since I feel too good today to give that up….maybe later in the week…I do have to keep up on the ibuprofen since the swelling in my left elbow is really painful and now it has gotten to my right knee, too….I have been waiting for this years tendon pain and it is finally here…looks like I may take the first day off the bike since April with the storms that are coming in and I don’t think that is a bad thing…the legs could use a day off…not much to do today…I do need to clean around here and I just may have the motivation to do it today….more later…

Well…haven’t done one of these in a while…and it’s not because there was no weirdness, it’s just because I keep forgetting to do one of these….and some of the stuff isn’t really weird, it’s just things I don’t normally see. So, let’s start with the fox the other day…not weird but I can’t ever remember seeing one running around during the day….then, there were the two fawns that were just standing along the trail that just looked at me as I rode by…didn’t see their mother anywhere but she must have been around there…oh, here’s the weirdness….I saw a pair of long running pants on the trail today…just lying in the middle of the trail and the I could never understand that…I mean, how do you get to the middle of a run and decide ‘I don’t need these pants anymore so I’ll just take them off and leave them here” ….what kind of a thought process would allow anyone to do that? Oh, well…I’ve seen weirder things out there….
