Well…had a surprise night out with G last night so I feel like crap today and am running late because of it…..slept okay but that doesn’t help after a night out…and I am running late for an appointment out in Dorr so I need to work out and get the bike ride in right now so I’ll have to come back later and finish this…I do need to make a comment out on Kos first, though….
Okay…I’m back for a few minutes…got the run to Dorr done but he HLA’s were ticking like crazy when I got over to HF to get my brake bleeder…but it went away after the drive back here but I do know it needs an oil change…have to do that next week…I did get a ride in but the bike is squeaking again…damn….might just be the shock, though, since I can feel it through the seat…okay…not feeling it…I will try to get a political one in later….
Well…it was another day yesterday and I did get some stuff done…the papers are gone, finally, and I did clean the car but am having a hell of a time getting the haze off the glass…remembered that it is probably the type of paper towel that I used so I will try to fix that today…slept okay last night but I am still tired so I guess I’ll have to remember to eat more…one good thing from last night was that the Griffins won the Calder Cup for the first time and that was pretty cool….not much to do today…going to do a grocery run today since I am really tired of eating the same old crap and need some variety to jumpstart the taste buds….and then re-do the glass to see if I am right about the paper towel….more later…
Well…it was another day yesterday but at least lunch with T was fun…but, the rest of the day was the same old bore that it normally is…I should be used to that by now but it still bugs me…slept okay last night but I had dreams that the Miata was rusting away so fast that you could see it and that was really weird…but no plot or anything so it was unsatisfying….it looks like the weather is going to cooperate today so I think I’ll do a complete clean up of the car…just don’t have much else to do so I may just as well be productive there….I might clean, too…the freezer needs to be done and then all the rest of it…yadda, yadda…
Well…having a hard time getting started today for some reason…and I really need to get moving since there may be lunch with T today and I have to get the workout and ride in before that…the HLA noise is back in the car and I think it’s gently telling me to change the oil…which I will try to do later in the week….it was an okay day yesterday but I have to break the malaise that I’m in and get some work done around here….didn’t get to the papers and probably won’t today either….but, I will get to some things today which will mean I’m going to have to run some errands…but, first, the workout…
Well…just got back from the bike ride and I was pleasantly surprised with Pink Floyd as the musical selections and how well it fit how the day looked…PF to me has always meant a cloudy, foggy day with some mystery to it….like you don’t know what is going to happen and the anticipation of it or the sense of foreboding that comes with it always means PF….but, that was not the only thing about the day…there was some weirdness…or coolness depending on your point of view…as I was at my last water stop in the park, a hummingbird came in across my right shoulder to stop at the weeds that were just across the path and then just flitted from weed to weed for a couple of minutes while I watched…I can’t remember ever seeing one other than at peoples feeders and it was just neat to see the speed and agility….pretty cool…
Well…it was just another day yesterday but I did have fun going out to have a couple with K….but, that was just about the only thing I did yesterday…and, today looks about the same other than the bike ride in a few minutes…I do have to get rid of the tower of papers that is leaning dangerously over me and do some other cleaning but I’m not sure if I can muster up the ambition to get to it….I did sleep okay last night but that is even getting boring so I won’t talk about that anymore….so, I think I’ll go work on the shifter on the bike since it has been driving me nuts with hanging up in gear…have to keep it out of the mud I guess…
Well…haven’t been able to work up the necessary outrage to do a political one today but I do have a couple of things that I might be able to weave into something…first, got a picture from my youngest son last night after he asked his girlfriend to marry him…yeah, kind of a surprise to me but I really like her and and I guess he does, too…they did buy a house together after all so I guess this is the logical next step…the second thing is just a little bit of trail weirdness that I saw yesterday…when coming through the woods on the trail, I came into a clearing to find a male turkey in full mating mode trying to woo a couple of females that were there with him….and it made me think of the James Gang song Ashton Park….also known as the turkey song..at least that’s what I call it…the song always makes me think of turkeys dancing…okay…that’s it for now…going to meet up with K in a while for drinks and I should eat something first….
Well…yeah, I know…didn’t come back for another one yesterday…just couldn’t think of anything to say so I didn’t say it…sitting here waiting for the coffee to finish and thought I’d get this one done….it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…but the rest of the day was just like every other one…and the Griffins lost last night so there will be a game 5 tonight I think…slept okay but it was from cocktails so that’s not saying much…not much to do today…it looks like the bike ride may be rained out since I am going to read the papers first and a huge blob of rain is coming in from the west…so, maybe a rest day…more later…
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but the planned meet up with everyone didn’t happen…so that made it a little boring but I survived it…slept okay but still feel a little worn out today..it was a cocktail night, after all, so that is the reason…and I am still having trouble taking in enough calories for doing 15 miles on the bike…it is weird to think of food as just fuel…takes the enjoyment out of eating but nothing really tastes good anymore so that is part of it too…I do like Fridays, though, since I am done with working out for the week and all I have to do is ride the bike…it was kind of fun yesterday riding through the flood in the park but that screwed up the shifter that i hope I have fixed with lubing it up….I was just coated with mud when I got back here but it felt kind of good to be able to do that at my age….not much to do today…pool day, of course, and the Griffins can win the Calder cup if they win tonight….more later…
Well…running really late today and there are many, many reasons for it but none that you’d be interested in…it was an okay day yesterday but the highlight never happened…tried to get to downtown to see Tommy Castro but the traffic was backed up almost to here and it took me almost 45 minutes to go 3 miles so I turned around and just came home to watch the Griffins game instead…had those weird eye distortions again yesterday like the ones that come before a migraine and that was a little concerning…but they went away after 20 mins so I guess there is not much to worry about….I did get the squeak out of the bike for one trip and I am hoping for today, too, but I need to work out and get to it so I’ll end here…oh, might meet up with C for a couple later today but that is about it…more later…
