Well….it has been a busy day today and I am now just getting to relax for the first time….I was out doing my second 15 miles of the day since the weather was so nice and I do need to get 40 more miles in before the 1st of May….but that was derailed a little when I broke a spoke on the back wheel of the bike after going over a curb to avoid some wet paint…that has never happened before on any bike that I have owned and it immediately led to the wheel warping that looked like the tire had failed…that was my first thought since the rear tire was almost worn out so I tore the thing apart and discovered the broken spoke…and, guess what? You can’t just buy a single spoke since there are different hubs that mean different lengths…so, I went over to the local bike shop and they have a machine that actually makes spokes to whatever length necessary, flattens out one end and then puts the adjustment threads on it….and he gave it to me half price at 3 bucks so that was cool….but to replace it, the entire rear wheel had to be taken apart and that is really a pain…and I am still working on getting the thing trued back up so it doesn’t wobble…that could take a while since I don’t have the specialized equipment to do it so it will take trial and error…it’s back together now and I am looking forward to the ride tomorrow to check out how the wheel and tire feel….too damn busy of a day…..

Almost forgot…
Well…it’s been a busy day today and I almost forgot to come back here for another one…but, I did want to touch on one little item that I saw in the news yesterday but just didn’t have time to get to…even with all of the idiot in chief’s bluster and bullshit that he will never turn over any records of his finances to the House, he really is going to have to at some point…and I saw an article or a news show, I can’t remember which, that this type of behavior is always his pattern…he comes out and says that there is no way he will cooperate and then caves or the laws catch up and he is forced to cooperate….so, the little item….just yesterday, it was reported that Deutsche Bank has started to provide all of their records on trump and his businesses to the AG of NY who is investigating the funding for many trump projects due to the testimony of Michael Cohen and the records he provided…and this dovetails nicely with the investigations by the House financial services committee and the Intelligence committees who are also looking at money laundering through these projects….so, the bars are closing in on the idiot and his family who continue to bleat that Mueller exonerated trump in his report…once the SDNY and the NY AG get done with him, trump is going to jail….and I hope soon because the NY AG is not constrained by the Justice department’s rules that a sitting president can’t be indicted….impeach…
April 25th
Well…running about on time for a Thursday and doing the grocery run…spent 70 bucks this morning and didn’t get anything but staples that I have been running out of for the past month…I did have a 4 buck coupon so I got 10 shavers for 99 cents so that was cool…and I got all the fixings to make a pizza for lunch and I am looking forward to that after the boring meals I have been making…I mean, how many times can you have tilapia and pasta before you go nuts? Have been feeling okay the past couple of days and the exhaustion seems to be abating and that was either a bug or not eating enough…but, whatever it was, I’m glad it’s gone and I feel almost normal…or as normal as I ever feel…didn’t sleep much last night but that is normal, too, so I don’t need to talk about that…I did get a nice bike ride in yesterday with the wind getting down to tolerable levels and today looks like another good one…may even be able to get out in a t-shirt around 10 if I want to wait that long…and I just might…not sure why I need to rush around here other than trying to keep a schedule and a little consistency in my life…the damn car has sprung another leak that I can’t find so it looks like I’ll have to take it somewhere to have it fixed…not a bad leak but just annoying…it probably leaked a quarter cup of fluid the past two days but those never fix themselves…not much to do today…I am going to clean some…maybe…but I’m not sure how much….starting to lose my motivation already so we’ll see…more later…

Well…another day, another jaw dropping bit of stupidity by the moron in chief when he opened his mouth and farted this out…that if the dems in the House impeach him, he will go to the supreme court to stop it…and he believes his toadies that were installed there illegally by Mitch McConnell will tell the house that they can’t do it…and one of his reasons is that he already survived the Mueller investigation and that the House has no authority to investigate since he was already investigated. Yeah, the logic of a 7 year old being spouted by the so-called president…damn, do I have to keep pointing out how ignorant this ass is? That is not how any of this works…in precedent that runs almost all the way back to the founding of the country…every damn court including the supreme court has ruled that the courts cannot interfere with the constitutionally mandated powers of investigation and impeachment of the co-equal legislative branch…so, even if stupid boy tries to go there, even Kavanaugh should rule that he has no standing to bring that kind of suit…unless he has had his daily 12 pack and then all bets are off. This is what happens when someone so glaringly ignorant is put in a position of power…he thinks he can make things up as he goes along and the law is what he wants it to be…and, even the repubs have to know they need to do something to stop this idiot from nuking the entire party…impeach….
April 24th
Well…I feel lousy this morning with the allergies flaring and my eyes feeling like they are filled with sand…and that made sleeping last night really iffy and filled with tossing and turning…so that is making me late this morning and I just can’t get moving…is this different than almost any other morning? Not really….just the details are different but I never feel that hot when I get up during allergy season which seems to be year round now….I think I’ll have to take something for it today even if the red dots will raise my BP…and I am tired of being in pain so I am going to seal my doom by taking some ibuprofen this morning deal with that…have cut back from daily doses before getting on the bike to only a couple of times a week so that should count for something…I’m really hoping that the wind stays down for the ride today since this 20 mph crap is getting old and I always feel it the next day with pain in my shoulders…yeah, that’s weird but that where it shows and having pain in both shoulders is just damn annoying…okay, as you can see, I’m in a little bit of a crabby mood this morning so I think I’ll stop now before you get bored with me bitching…more later…
None of it was “fake news”…
Well…after having a few days to digest what is in the still redacted Mueller report, one thing stands out that is not getting enough attention and that is the “fake news” that the idiot trump has railed against in his spittle flecked tweets is NOT fake…in fact the reporting from the NYT, the Washington Post, and every other news outlet has been shown to be accurate…that trump DID get help from the Russians whether or not they did it wittingly, and they DID meet with Russians throughout the campaign, and they DID pass information to the Russians for reasons that Giuliani says is just peachy. One little thing that trump and his minions won’t acknowledge is that the counter intelligence investigation is still ongoing with the FBI still looking at Russia’s role in the election and I’ll speculate that there are still more indictments coming from that side of the investigation…let’s remember that the counter intelligence information never made it into the Mueller report but all of the information that Mueller found was handed over to embedded FBI agents who are still working on it and other prosecutors can still bring charges from that information…something that was also reported and was not “fake news”. The reporters also got most of the details right on the obstruction of justice that trump engaged in almost daily and the Mueller report confirms that, too….but, that didn’t stop the moron in chief from rage tweeting this morning that the NYT owes him an “apology” for their reporting just like he lied and said they did before…which never happened. So, I’ll ask you guys…who do you trust….the news media that got damn near everything right about trump and his crimes or the serial liar that squats in the WH? With trump’s approval rating now dropping like a rock after Mueller, it appears that people are wising up to the Russian plant in the WH….now it’s time to get started on impeachment of this criminal…

Well…okay, I think I’m an idiot…after the past two days that is…I decided that it would be a good idea to do 30 miles on the bike Sunday and that beat the heck out of me…but the stupid part is that I did it again yesterday and it feels like I did some damage to my body from it…felt like crap all afternoon Sunday and felt the same yesterday afternoon…didn’t prepare for it at all by eating better and felt like everything had been drained out of me…it was hard to even walk around here until I had a big plate of pasta for dinner and started to replenish the fuel…but, even with that, I still feel pretty crappy this morning even with not getting up until after 6…but that may be my allergies or a bug….have been coughing like crazy and have a bunch of crap in my lungs…I think I may have to take a day off the bike to rest soon…have been waiting to get rained out but the weather is not going to cooperate….I do need to get out early today since the high temp for the day is right now and it is supposed to fall all day into the 40′s this aft and I don’t want to be cold…so, more coffee and I hope that it will work well enough to get out in an hour or so….more later….
Impeach trump already…
Well…with all of the hand wringing on the dems part about the political risks of impeaching the criminal in the WH, I think that they are missing the damn point…it is the House’s job to impeach idiot boy now that there is absolutely no doubt he’s a criminal who has committed crimes while in office…house dems have no choice but to ignore those risks if they value this country more than the repubs do and get on with impeachment…we all know that the repubs in the senate won’t convict even though trump’s crimes are clear…but, that’s not the point…the point is that we need to protect this country from trump and we cannot ignore that he is still committing crimes every day and I think the dems are misreading the political winds…the idiot’s approval rating is down to 37% with almost 68% of the country believing that he committed crimes, and I think if the dems do a good job of explaining why they are doing what they are doing in relatable terms…such as “if someone robbed your house but he was a powerful mayor, for example, who no one is holding accountable for his crimes, how would you feel?” The ads against the repubs who voted to keep a criminal in office would write themselves…such as: “you follow the law, why doesn’t the president have to?” I really don’t care for the conventional wisdom that says dems have to be careful…bullshit…it’s time to start repairing the damage the repubs and trump have done to this country..and that starts with investigations and impeachment…
April 22nd
Well…okay, I’m sore this morning and there is finally a reason for it…did a double on the bike yesterday and got 30 miles in for the first time this year…the second leg was almost torture from the start and much more work than I expected…but, I got it done and will take something for the pain before I get on the bike this morning…slept okay last night and didn’t get up until around 6 so that is a bonus…for me anyway but there was a lot of tossing and turning all night so I’m feeling it today…still feel exhausted like I have the past week or so and that is getting old…I’m inching up to seeing the doctor for it since I’m paying for insurance but that’s just not my style…I’m used to just taking care of things myself…and my allergies are just awful with everything now starting to bloom so that’s probably it…didn’t get a lot done yesterday with the bike rides and no motivation and today looks much the same…right now, anyway…the coffee is not working and it needs to soon or it may just be a couch day…after I ride the bike, that is…more later…
April 21st
Well…running a little late this morning and it is just because I’m out of synch…I should have come here after reading the paper but got into the rest of the news first…almost forgot to do this one and that happens on Sundays…pretty darn sore this morning from going out on the bike in 20+ mph wind yesterday…feel like I pulled something in my back or obliques but it is not bad enough to take anything for it, just annoying and I hope it works out on the ride this morning…I may wait to go out until it’s warm enough for just a t-shirt today but if Man U plays crappy, I may go earlier…have been having some problems with the shifter on the bike and I think it’s just dirt from riding in the mud and rain the other day and I may have to clean it again today to see if that will help…no big deal…just annoying when you don’t get the gear you want when you want it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but a little cleaning but it looks like I’ll have plenty of time to do more today with the dearth of sports on…and I don’t have to cook today with cleaning up the leftovers from this week so I’ll need to find something to fill the time…more later…
