Well…as I’ve hammered home since I started this site, elections have consequences and we are seeing that right now with the slate of sensible gun control laws that the dems are going to pass this week. They start with having to register for any firearm purchase, closing down the gun show loophole that puts guns int he hands of people who shouldn’t have them…and make every sale subject to a background check…sets up a “red flag” law which would allow family members to petition courts to remove guns from unstable people…another part would enhance storage safety by asking gun owners to lock their guns up and keep them unloaded…you get the point…all of these measures are popular with everyone except the gun lobby and were promised in the 2022 election so the dems are carrying through…things that would never have happened if the repubs were still running the state…geez…

March 15th
Well…slept all the way through til 6:40 this morning but don’t feel like I slept at all…I guess I’m getting old…the coffee needs to work right now if I’m going to get out for the grocery run today…need to hit three stores today with DD having spiral sliced ham on sale for 99 cents a pound…it’s only 19 degrees out there right now and spring is so far away that I can’t see it…okay…just looked at the weather and it is only 17 degrees out there and I’m depressed…..I know there is nothing I can do about the weather but damn, 17 degrees half way through March? Oh. well…didn’t get anything done yesterday but the rides and I’m only going to add in the grocery runs today and that is enough for one day….only had one meal yesterday and I think I’m feeling that this morning…I mean a chicken leg and some bean dip is not enough with doing two rides…..I wonder if I could just relax a bit for one day? Nope….that’s just not me…I did thaw some catfish so I’ll have that to eat today along with the leftover chicken leg…one of these days I’m going to eat whatever I want since I can with my mouth not hurting…should I try ice cream? Haven’t been able to eat that for at least 10 years and I might just try….not much to do today…just the grocery runs and then back here to get on the bike…and I should have that done by noon or so and then soccer this afternoon…man, I feel old today….more later…
Another okay day…
Well…even though I spent money on drain cleaning, it was still a pretty good day today…started out getting the first ride in, then watched the drain guy work and got to see that was drain really is clean all the way out to the street now on his “drain tv” then I mopped the floor around the clean out port, then back on the bike for ride two…then I made some chicken for lunch and did the laundry…then my driver called and I set up the transportation for the next surgery on July 10th…an I made some bean dip for the ultimate test of my healing by eating tortilla chips with it and had no pain at all and you don’t know how happy that makes me…so now I’ll be able to eat anything I want until July 10th..or until I set up the root canal with my other dentist….oh and “Cocaine Bear” showed up on plex today and it might just be the comedy I need right now…or I may save it for Friday night…we’ll see…
No idiot, the Ukraine war is not a territorial dispute..
Well…I wonder how much putin is paying the repubs these days? It must be something since the entire right wing of this country is spouting his talking points all over the place today. This came out of the idiot desantis in a speech in Florida today where he called the Russian invasion of Ukraine a “territorial dispute” and also said that if he is elected president, he would cut off all aid to Ukraine…exactly what putin is paying him for….this is just another extension of the idiot trump’s extortion of Ukraine and desantis is using it to prove that he is the farthest right of all of the potential candidates and would love to have the US be so weak we would let a two bit dictator push them around…just like putin did to trump…you do remember Helsinki and how trump kissed putin’s ass and said he believed him more than our intelligence agencies? This traitorous act has become the norm for the traitors who make up the modern repub party and it makes it even more important to support Ukraine now and beat putin into the ground…who knows what the future hold…but we do know it will be worse under a repub…
First meal with no pain…
Well…the drain guy came this morning and I got to see the “drain tv” and see that it is now clear all the way out to the street…but that’s not what this one is about…I just got done with my first meal in many, many years with no pain at all…and I ate on the side that was stitched up just two weeks ago…if you’ve ever had chronic pain in the mouth you know what a big deal that is…to not have to think when you’re eating? So I have hope that once this whole process is over, I will not have to deal with pain anymore…and that is pretty cool…5 grand cool but worth it…now I need to put the laundry in the dryer…oh, and look for a political topic but Kos is down today and that’s where I get my topics most of the time…darn…
March 14th
Well…happy Pi day! you get it 3/14? Okay, that’s a little obscure but still fun….up at 5:04 this morning and then out of bed at 6:41 and I’m feeling a little worn out after the day I had yesterday…only one meal after the dental appointment but I have everything scheduled to finish up the infection in my mouth but not til July 10th…so I won’t be able to have ice cream on my birthday…but, I was able to eat almost normally yesterday for the first time in years so I’ll take that progress….the healing is on track but I do need to have a root canal done on a tooth on that side to save it and I’ll get that scheduled later this week….the drain backed up again yesterday so I’m having a company come out to clean it today….just don’t want to screw with it anymore and I can afford the couple of hundred bucks to have it done…so, I have 17 days before the biopsy and I am going to enjoy them since I can eat without pain again…going to make chicken today but I’m not sure what the second meal will be…probably pasta since I opened a jar of pasta sauce yesterday and will need to use it…only did one ride yesterday but want to get two in today before they come to do the drain at around noon…and then the rest of the day is open and I am just going to wing it and see what happens….more later…
Banks are getting pummeled…
Well…I’m glad I don’t have any money invested in bank stocks today since their stock prices are getting pummeled with Comerica down almost 40% and the other two banks I deal with, PNC who owns my mortgage and Fifth Third, are down almost 25% in the fallout from the failure of the Silicon Valley Bank over the weekend….now I’m not sure if this will have any ramifications for me but I don’t think it will unless either one of those actually close and I have to find another bank and transfer all of my autopays to it….it appears that the only people that are going to get hurt from the failure is investors since the feds have already assured the depositors that they will be made whole after the bank is sold…and that started today so that was pretty fast…I think there was another bank that was seized Sunday and guess who they did lots of business with? Yep, with the idiot boy and now there is one less bank for him to launder money through…it will be interesting to get a clear picture of just why these banks failed but I’ll bet there were billionaires involved in the shenanigans…geez…
March 13th
Well…damn, it’s snowing out there and I have to go out in it later for my periodontist appointment and I’m not looking forward to it…will need to shovel the snow this morning since we got about 3 inches overnight and it’s supposed to continue until I leave for it….will have a problem getting out of here to the main roads but should be able to do it if it’s not icy……had an okay day yesterday and even got one ride in and I’m going to get on the bike here by 9 which is really 8 since I’m still doing the conversion in my head after the time change…up around 5 which is really 4 and then out of bed at 7:30 which is 6:30…okay, I’m tired of doing conversions so I won’t anymore…I am really looking forward to getting out of bed and not being cold as I have been for the past 6 months….it’s the middle of March and it’s 28 degrees out there and I am so tired of the cold….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today will be much the same with the appointment….just having a hard time getting going this morning and part of that is not eating enough yesterday and I’ll probably do that again today since they are going to hurt my gums and probably my jaw so I won’t really feel like eating later…more later…
Everyone hates trump…
Well…with the revelation in the Dominion lawsuit discovery that even tucker carlson hates trump, it’s official that everyone in the world hates trump…Hunter went off on a glorious rant at Kos this morning that I have to agree with that it is not news that everyone hates trump and comes up with the math that says the hatred is correlated with how much time any person spends around the idiot…and he again says something I agree with that there is no good in trump all…even though most assholes have one or two redeeming qualities but not one person has ever said that about the idiot boy…and he has no humanness about him at all…no one ever sees him do anything that even remotely like normal people do…no playing with his grandchildren no stories about his kids growing up and they had to pay people to say nice things at the nominating convention in 2016…and even at his “rallies” people start leaving at about 15 minute of his schtick…I wonder if he cares that everyone hates him? Ha, ha…I laughed at that one, too…no, of course not…people are just things to be used by him and can be replaced since there appears to never be a limit to the supply of morons that will let themselves be used by idiot boy…and they will also come away hating him…and they should…
March 12th
Well…decided to not go out and get the paper this morning….just didn’t want to go out in the cold and snow….and the only thing I buy it for is the ads and the local paper brought those the other day…darn, there is another weather alert on the lower banner this morning…and I am getting so sick of this crap…we’re halfway through the month and it is still like frickin February….I know I get impatient for the weather to change but it’s time to have rain instead of snow…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done and today will be the same….need to get a ride in before Man U plays at 10…don’t think I can get two rides in before then…or should I take the day off? Nope…the time change is making me late on the bike today and I have to remember that….so probably one ride today….I do have to figure out the second meal today…still have pork chops for one of them but maybe pasta for the second? Or the chicken nuggets I got a couple of weeks back? Need to look in the freezer to see what’s there….no more pork for a while….think I need to change up my diet a bit….not much to do today…just need more coffee right now and to get on the bike in 15 minutes or so….pretty sore this morning and I wonder why? Oh, well….more later…
