Well…we all know that the idiot trump is a loser and no where more than in the courts…since he took office a year ago, idiot boy has lost every suit that he has brought…and his illegal appointments to the justice department have been cut down in no uncertain terms as have every appointment he has made trying to get around having them confirmed by the senate…and when he tried to get his toadies to indict 5 dem reps for pointing out that military personnel have a duty to refuse illegal orders, the grand juries just laughed his unqualified AG’s out of the room…so, for now, the courts are standing against idiot boy’s attempts to do whatever he pleases…and they need to keep it up…gez

March 12th
Well…damn, what a day yesterday…started okay but then the damn trackpad on my laptop stopped working so that took 2 hours in the chat with Dell to get it fixed…and that screwed up my whole day and left me behind on these since I didn’t have time to come here for the political one…so, I’ll do two of those today…didn’t get out of bed til 5:31 this morning and that shouldn’t feel like a win but it does after getting up so many times in the 4’s…I did get some cooking done but I had to run an extension cord into the bathroom to be able to run both the instant pot and the toaster oven at the same time…should probably upgrade the electric service but that would cost about 3 grand and I don’t want to spend that…getting close to the first 1k miles and that means a double ride indoors today since it’s going to be too cold to ride outside for the next week…and we have snow in the forecast for the next week…maybe this will be the last gasp of winter that I thought was already past…not much to do today…just the normal stuff and then some reading…more later…
Running late…
Well…I’m running late with this today since my internet was out for 3 hours today…so I’m trying to get caught up but it’s harder than I expected…it started with being on the phone to DTE after I got an overdue notice in my e-mail that my bill hadn’t been autopaid and found out that they had a computer glitch the un-enrolled thousands of people from it…so that’s fixed and then I couldn’t get my phone to re-connect to the wifi and had to screw with that for 45 minutes until I figured that out…so now everything’s working again and I owe a political one of these that I will start looking at topics for…oh, I did make cabbage, potatoes, and carrots in the instant pot and I wonder why I don’t make it more often? Still can’t taste it much but it has tons of fiber a very few calories and it makes a good side dish…baked some chicken with it for lunch today and I have enough chicken left over to make a masala this weekend…didn’t get any corned beef since the cheapest I could find it was 5.99 a pound and I’m not paying over 20 bucks for a tiny little roast…okay, topic time…
March 11th
Well…feel like crap this morning and I’m not sure why…didn’t do anything different last night than any other night so it’s probably not eating enough after just having a bagel and 2 pieces of pizza and doing 21 miles on the bike…won’t be riding outdoors today with the temp falling into the 30’s and that’s just too damn cold for me…it was raining and hailing last night and it was nice to sit here in my warm house and hear it…but the weather is going to get really crappy with temps falling into the 20’s for highs and snow for Sunday…I know this is spring in Michigan but damn, we could use a break and actually have a spring…oh, well…I do need to do the grocery run this morning but I don’t have a lot to get so it will be a quick one…still would like to get some corned beef but that’s not going to happen so I’ll settle for chicken with the cabbage and potatoes I’m going to make in the instant pot…think I’ll add some onion and garlic to spice it up a bit…more later…
Finally got an outdoor ride in today…
Well…today didn’t go at as planned…I was going to get the weight work in and then an indoor ride then right after that, an outdoor ride…but it rained here all morning and it did dry out to 2 pm…I did get out after that so another 21 mile day and that leaves me under 30 miles to get to a thousand for the year…the ride was fun with less wind today but it was still blowing over 15 out of the east and that meant that I went into the wind all the way back…there is no more ice on Lake Michigan but only 4 days ago there were car sized icebergs along the shoreline and it sure didn’t feel warm enough to melt the ice that fast…going to make cooked cabbage in the instant pot tomorrow and I’ll probably throw in a few potatoes so I’ll have cheap and low calorie side to go with the chicken…could get any corned beef since aldis was already out of it on the first day of their sale…and that sucks a little…oh, well…back to the movie…
War lies…
Well…once it was reported that a girls school was hit in Iran and over 160 girls killed, of course the idiot trump lied and said it was an Iranian missile that did the damage even though there are photos of the tomahawk that hit the school and Iran has no tomahawks…and just today reporting with pieces from the tomahawk came out of Iran proving that idiot boy was lying his ass off and he continues to do that today when the entire world knows it…and now, finally, the dems in the senate are going to use the tools they have been given by the war powers act to shut the senate down until there are hearings where all of the trump idiots will be called to testify about the war like who gave the order to start it, what the cost is, and how does it end? That needs to happen now since this war is illegal and has already cost over 200 billion dollars…dollars that could have been used to save medicaid and the rural hospitals that shut down over the cuts….geez…
March 10th
Well…another morning of getting up before 6 and I probably should stop talking about that…it’s pretty boring but it is part of my life that these are supposed to chronicle…the temp starts dropping today ending with a high of 25 on Sunday and I am so damn tired of the cold…it was a nice day yesterday but waiting for spring gets harder every year…oh, well…didn’t eat much yesterday and I’m still disappointed that I couldn’t get some reasonably priced corned beef to celebrate St. Patty’s day next Tuesday…I do have enough stuff in the freezer to substitute for it but it’s just not the same…I may do just potatoes and cabbage in the instant pot and then use them for sides for chicken or pork loin fillets…still have leftovers for today so I’ll think about what to cook tomorrow…not much to do today…I do have to wean myself off reading so much so I can get things done around here starting with my bedroom but we’ll see how that goes…more later…
Shouldn’t put the trash out…
Well…made a big mistake today when I put some trash out in the outdoor bin…okay, let’s back up a minute…after I got the indoor ride this morning, I suited up to get an outdoor ride in even though the wind was really blowing and it was only 42…so, I get to the point by the condos and got hit with a gust that literally stopped me dead…so I did what I very seldom do with my right thigh screaming, I gave up on the ride and came back here…then, this afternoon, I put the trash out in the outdoor bin and it was over 50 and the wind had abated a bit so I put my light thermasuit on with just my padded, fingerless riding gloves and a baseball cap and headed out…the wind was still blowing pretty hard but there was no way I was abandon two rides in one day so I gutted it out since I knew it would be fun coming back…and I flew back here after taking a minute to just relax at the water stop at Lake Michigan…and now I don’t have to feel guilty about being a slug…I did run an errand today and put the top on the car down and that was a lot of fun…but not getting the corned beef since aldi was already out of it…but I did buy a cabbage since I like steamed cabbage and I do have some pork loin fillets that will go with it okay…time to take my teeth out and clean them before I go back to reading…

Well…with the idiot trump’s bombing of a girls school in Iran that killed 162 young girls, there is no other way to say it but the idiot and all of the military going along with this crap are war criminals and should be on trial in the Hague instead of staining the WH…this moron has permanently destroyed any moral high ground the country had…and that wasn’t that high since the orange asshole settled his fat ass back in the WH…I think we are going to have to rethink our Italy trip that is set for September if this crap goes on…I am so ashamed to be an American…geez…
March 9th
Well…that was a little better…up at 4:10 but forced myself to go back to sleep until after 6 today and I needed that after the time change…and I’ve already had a bagel after only eating about 700 calories yesterday…need the fuel if I’m going to keep up the pace…with the easy day yesterday, I need to do everything today but I’m not sure if I’ll get outside for a ride with how the wind is howling today…want to run an errand with the top down on the car no matter how cold it is…it’s just time to get the third top down ride for the year before the temp plunges Wed and then we endure a week of 30’s…and even 20’s next week and that just sucks…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I need to clean the kitchen today from top to bottom and then do some meal planning…going to see if I can get some corned beef at aldi even though it’s 3.50 a pound so I can make corned beef and cabbage in the instant pot later in the week and maybe some masala…I should be able to splurge a little and not just make cheap meals…have no room in the freezer for more DD stuff so I probably should not buy anything this week and just use what I have…more later…
