It’s been a day…

Well…after having to wait til around 10 this morning to get out for the first ride with the rain that we got…yep, we actually got rain here last night and today…and the wind was blowing almost 25 out of the west and I looked like a damn mime trying to ride into it out on the point..all the way down to 3rd on the back sprockets which I normally only use on the steep climbs, and that went on all the way out to the beach and the waves it was making were huge but there is no way I’d ever get in the water like that out here….but the way back on both rides was fun and I got into 24th gear (high) at the top of the hill by the country club and ran that all the way back to the bottom of the hill by Heritage Landing….almost 4 miles wide open and when I got back here I was soaked with sweat and then proceeded to mow the lawn and do some other outside work that needed to be done…about 5 hours of work including the bike rides and I am dehydrated again with my toe starting to scream at me with a bit of the gout again…but, the weather has changed and the humidity that made the air thick enough to cut with a knife has dissipated…don’t even need the fan on and it is getting down into the 50′s tonight so I’ll close this joint up except for my bedroom window….it was nice to get some things done this afternoon and I even picked some tomatoes…both cherry and big ones and had one for a snack this afternoon…still aren’t going to get a lot off the plants this year so that is a little disappointing…there are still lots of cherries on the plants so I guess I’ll have lots of those….I wonder if I should cut up some of those and add them to mac salad I made this afternoon? Need to see a recipe to see if they will work before I do….end time….no more later…
