Well…up at a little after 5 this morning and that’s early but I slept okay and I’ll take it…man, it rained for 18+ straight hours yesterday and I don’t think I’ve seen that in the 3 1/2 years I’ve lived out here…we must have gotten 4-5 inches of rain and there will be flooding on the trail when I get out there this morning…going to do an indoor ride to start the day here in 20 minutes or so but I need to pour down some coffee first…with all the rain, that sets me up for some yard work today and I need to stop at Menards for fall lawn food and some big yard bags since the leaves are starting to fall and I do need to clean up the side of the house and get rid of the dying flowers…with perennials mixed in, I can’t just pull everything out by the roots so I’m going to take the string trimmer and cut them down to soil level…might just put in some grass seed on some bare spots so it will sprout in the spring….the end of the rain last night was a small storm and it rained so hard I could barely see across the street with some 20-30 mph winds and that was cool…I do have some storage containers that I left outside overnight that I will have to clean today so the afternoon is going to be busy…going to make a batch of pasta salad to use up the end of the celery in the fridge since I like having that around…need to take the last of the chicken out of the freezer to make masala Friday but that will use up all of the protein I have so I’ll need to make some bean burritos…not much to do today…I’ll be busy all morning with the grocery runs and rides and will do a couple of hours on the yard after lunch but I’ll have to be done with that by 3 when Man U plays…more later…
