Well…it isn’t very often that I see a political story that makes me laugh out loud but it just happened a few minutes ago. How dumb is Ted Cruz? If you remember a few weeks back, he attacked the Donald for his “New York values” that I guess are not as good as his “Texas values”….then the idiot goes to the Bronx yesterday and tries to do campaign stops to raise money from New Yorkers…as you can guess it didn’t go well…at one stop, he had all of 12 supporters listen to his normal, racist crap while hundreds of protesters stood outside…then he was confronted by a protester who told him to get out of the Bronx with his anti immigrant bs….then, after it was announced that the idiot would be doing a speech at a school there…the student body sent a letter to the principal stating why he shouldn’t be allowed to speak there…again citing his anti immigrant, women, gays, and everything else views and threatening to walk out if he came there…the administration agreed with the letter and cancelled the speech….New York values in action! I think this idiot is getting payback for his spouting hate at every turn and denigrating the values of a huge portion of the country…I really do hope he gets the nomination…he will lose in a landslide everywhere outside his tiny little right wing bubble…couldn’t happen to a bigger asshole….geez…

And to hate….
Well…just when you thought that the repubs couldn’t get any worse or hate any more, here comes Mississippi with a hate filled anti LGBT bill that is such a piece of crap and is so unconstitutional that there must be lead in water down there….this bill will allow anyone to discriminate against anyone just as long as it is a”strongly held religious belief”…this one will allow gay folks to be evicted from their housing, fired from their jobs and even goes farther to allow discrimination against anyone that doesn’t believe as these haters believe…unmarried and living together? Yep, you can be evicted from your housing and fired from you job….a woman wearing pants? Yep, employers that claim the religious crap exemption can now force women to wear skirts and I guess for men to wear beards or they can be fired…. a gay person in an emergency room? This bill allows the doctors and nurses to refuse treatment for religious grounds. There is just one thing I want everyone to remember, whenever there is hate in this country, it comes from the repubs…and whenever rights are taken away, it is the repubs that are behind it…come on ACLU…this one is ripe for a lawsuit today…get on it….geez…
The republicans only know how to cheat….
Well….not sure if you read about the latest supreme court case where the repubs again tried to cheat the system and destroy how voting districts have been drawn since the beginning of the country. In the case Evenwel v. Abbott, the repubs tried to get the court to throw out over 200 years of precedent and the constitution with it to allow them to draw districts only taking into account voters in the districts…a change that would allow rural areas to out vote cities since cities have a larger concentration of people that can’t vote…or don’t vote and the motivated repub base in the rural areas then could dictate to the cities what goes on there. This runs directly counter to the one person, one vote tradition that has been the interpretation of the constitution since the country was founded….and since when do only voters deserve to have a voice in our society? Don’t kids and non-voters deserve representation? The only thing you need to know about this suit is that was brought by the same asshole billionaire who got the court to gut the voting rights act when Scalia was alive…I hope this 8-0 drubbing will keep this guy from filing any more frivolous suits whose only goal is to cheat and tilt the playing field to the repubs…but, the repubs only know how to cheat so I guess we will see more of this crap in the future…geez…
This is sick…
Well…as days go by the repubs get more and more sick in their treatment of women who seek to use their constitutional right to control their bodies and seek an abortion. Starting with Utah, I think, who just recently passes a new law that says that women having an abortion must undergo general anathesia when the procedure is being performed….never mind that this decision should be between the doctor and their patient, these idiots have just made it dangerous to get an abortion when it is one of the safest medical procedures that is done…much safer than colonoscopies even…now we have Arizona joining in on the hurt women bandwagon by ignoring the FDA and legislating the dosage of the common abortion drug. Over time, as drugs are used and more data is available, doctors and the FDA will frequently change the dosing recommendations to reflect the usage data. That is just what happened with the most commonly used abortion drug, doctors have tried lower doses to good effect, that the side effects are greatly reduced by the lower doses…but, what do the sadist, misogynists repubs do then? They pass a law in Arizona that forces doctors to prescribe the drug at the old dosage levels…and the only reason for that is that they truly want to punish women for getting abortion by making sure they get sick from the drug. What the hell is wrong with these assholes? And, what is wrong with the people who vote for this crap? Nevermind that this law is unconstitutional and comes from the idiots who supposedly revere the document, what business is it of theirs telling doctors what to do? What’s next? Do they bring back bleeding people to cure them of diseases? Geez….

Well….even with all that is going on in politics, I haven’t been able to distill things down to a single topic so I think I’ll just noodle around and see where it goes….had to call the guys back to work on the furnace again and this time they replaced the brain that runs the thing…has been working since they left so I have my fingers crossed….it has been interesting this week to see that ole Donald has started to self destruct and show his know nothingness on basically every topic…from foreign policy to economics, his ignorance is just breathtaking and people are starting to catch on….and, the thing we have to remember is that even if he is the candidate, his own party really doesn’t like him much with his unfavorables being in the 60% range…and no one has ever been elected with them that high…his only support is within his rabid racist base and he has no appeal to the independents that are needed to win….I guess he appeals to the same folks that used to watch his reality show….oh, one last thing…sister Sarah did a speech for Trump in Wisconsin the other day that people walked out on…maybe her schtick is finally wearing thin? Not too soon, that’s for sure….
Dem infighting and repub repbranding…
Well…it has been a busy day but I did get the ham soup made and made some cash…but, I do have one more to do to get to the goal for the month so here goes…the first thing I want to talk about is the dem infighting that is going on between the Hillary and Bernie supporters. I understand that many of the Bernie supporters are new to the political process and are more driven by idealism… but, politics is a process that needs a dose of realism as well….and that reality is the Hillary will probably win the nomination and no matter how much that hurts Bernie’s supporters (and I am one of them) we need to get back to reality and support the nominee of our party…to sit out the election will hand it to Drumpf and to any person that is based in reality, that can’t be better than having Hillary as president. The second thing is a funny article I read about the “rebranding” of the repubs that will happen if they lose the election…I laughed when I read that…rebrand to what? The repub party is JUST what they have been showing in this primary season…a group of racist, mysoginist, haters that are reflecting exactly what their base is….that no minorities need apply…that women are just things that have no rights to control their own bodies…that christians deserve special rights to discriminate against everyone they don’t like and the repubs will use the government to deliver this hate….if this is your vision of America, you sure as hell shouldn’t be here reading this….go back to redstate….geez….
Still searching…
Well…even though there are lots of things happening in politics, much of it is so ridiculous that I can’t work up any outrage about it…I mean, Drumpf giving the excuse for the manhandling of a reporter by his campaign manager that the pen she was holding could have been a bomb? Delusional to say the least…but, so was his meltdown the other day on a phone call to a Wisconsin right wing radio show where the host just drilled him on everything he said….then we had Anderson Cooper going after him for acting like a 5 year old in the debate and the slow motion destruction of Drumpf is underway….but, I can’t say more about the liar Cruz that he is any different…he really isn’t and to know about Kasich, just take a look at what he did in Ohio…not the lies that he said he did or will do…just more of the same bait and switch that all of the repubs do to trick people into voting for them…can you say right to work, Snyder? It appears that the right wing nonsense is starting to unravel, finally, but the sick thing is that it is always the dems that have to come in and fix the damage that the repubs do…and I am tired of it…okay, this one was kind of all over the place….have not been as lucid as normal over the past few days and I’m not sure why…I will try to get better…that’s all I can do….
Some hope in NC…
Well…with the passage of the new pro discrimination law in NC…the backlash has been fun to watch with company after company telling their idiot governor that they will leave the state and him trying and failing to justify the law…and now, the democratic attorney general has said that he will not defend the law in court…and there have been a number of suits already filed by the ACLU and others…I’m not sure what that will mean to getting the law repealed but there is one observation I want to make here…on every issue of expanding the rights of all the people, so everyone has equal rights, the dems are on the right side and the repubs are always on the side of oppression and keeping people from getting their rights…and, some repubs are starting to realize it….I read a quote the other day that a leading repub was lamenting that the country is leaving them behind and he is not sure what place conservatives have here anymore…I’d like to say your bigoted, cheating ways have no place in the US anymore…and I hope we show them that at the ballot box in November…geez…
The common thread….
Well….during this election year, I want everyone to remember the common thread that runs through all of the anti LGBT legislation that is being passed across the country…they are all being proposed and passed by the repubs. Every person that cares about the civil rights of all of our fellow citizens must make these asses pay at the ballot box this November…it isn’t bad enough that the repubs wreck the economy of every state they control…now they want to wreck the lives of people they hate…Kansas just went so far as to pass a law that would give anyone 2,500 dollars if they “outed” any trans person using a restroom that matches their gender identity…now, I think that the repubs should be labeled a hate group for these kind of actions…and anyone…and I have friends that do this…that purposely ignore what these idiots are doing and vote for them should be ashamed…geez…
More hypocrisy from the repubs…
Well…I know I talk about repubs hypocrisy quite a bit since there is just so much of it everywhere you look…and the latest one exposes the pure ideology that is behind the gun nut craze driven by the repubs and the NRA…who’s solution to every problem the country faces is more guns everywhere. But, not at the repub convention…yep, they want guns everywhere and feel that gun free zones are the easiest targets for a “bad guy with a gun” but that is exactly what the convention is going to be…a gun free zone. Now, this may not really be that big of a case of hypocrisy since the Secret Service is in charge of security and will not allow guns at the convention…saying that it would make security impossible…and that just points out when you divorce guns everywhere from ideology and use some common sense, the security professionals know that more guns make people less safe. I would assert that instead of a gun free zone being a magnet for killers, I think it would be open carry events that would be easiest for a gunman to attack since he could just walk in with a couple of AR-15′s and a pistol strapped to his hip and no one would even look twice….how could you tell if he was a good guy or a bad guy? This open carry nonsense goes on just because you have the NRA riling up the gun nut fringe and the rest of us aren’t pushing back….I, for one, will not set foot in any business that allows these scared shitless idiots to carry guns in them…never…ever…geez…
