Well…just read an article by Mark Sumner over on Kos that I completely agree with…that the repub party is now just trump…no ideas, nothing for the people, just fealty to trump…no platform, no nothing…and that’s the thing I can’t figure out at all…I mean 7 years of losses of sets in congress, an extra 200,000 Americans dead in the pandemic…and the culmination of the ruination of the repub party…and now he promises to destroy NATO and turn Ukraine over to putin and make his new term a revenge turn where he will go after his “enemies” who have held him accountable for his crimes…and let’s remember that many, many people who were in his administration and other observers have said that he is barely lucid most of the time and yet the rank and file still support him as if he is a god or something…I guess the modern repub party just has hate to run on these days…and idiot boy is full of that…geez…

The party of freedom?
Well…you would think that at least one repub would have a bout of clarity about their hypocrisy touting that they are the party of “freedom”…freedom for who? Surely not for young people trying to learn the true history of this country….surely not for half of the country who are women and are having their rights taken away by the repubs ever damn day…certainly not the Florida lawmaker who gave her phone number out on the House floor and told women and girls to call her so she can help them with abortion care and the evil desantis had her arrested…certainly not our friends in the LGBTQ community who are fleeing red states to keep from being attacked an murdered just for being who they are…and certainly not the young athletes who now have to have their genitals “inspected” before they can participate in sports in Idaho….this sure as hell is not “freedom” and it is clear by comparison to blue states that it is the repubs in red states doing all of this….taking away people’s rights and exposing them to hate is not freedom for them…I guess it is freedom for the repub haters who are passing all these fascist laws…geez…

Well…after getting the yard work done this morning, I have been reading a bunch of news as I finish off my last cup of coffee and one thing strikes me after that reading…the repub party has nothing left but hate to offer anyone…and that revelation was spurred by an article where an army of the asshole tucker’s minions were standing outside a damn middle school in California screaming at the kids and their parents for wearing masks to keep them safe from transmission of the virus…I mean, how would you feel if your kid was walking to school and a bunch of crazy assed adults started getting right into their faces…trying to use fear and hate just to intimidate them…and what kind of an adult would do that to other people’s kids? This is the modern repub party folks…when was the last time you read anything positive that the repubs are doing for you and me? Yeah, me either…all there is now is hate and trying to make the “libs” uncomfortable by passing laws targeting trans kids, by restriciting the votes of people of color, and now passing laws that would allow for voter intimidation at polling places with the same angry mob that was at that middle school this morning….they have nothing but hate…and that isn’t good for our country…

Well…another day, another 49 people dead at two mosques in New Zealand….and, what a surprise, on of the the white terrorists involved cited the idiot rump as being one of his heroes who has pushed anti Muslim hate since he was elected….I wonder where the questions are about “where was this terrorist radicalized” and the generalizations about how all white people should be prevented from entering NZ? I am so damn tired of writing about these tragedies and the bigoted idiots who do nothing but hate so I am going to stop here…we all know who is responsible…it is not immigrants or Muslims…it is the shooter, period…and the right wing media who push this hate for profit….I have had enough of this crap….

Well…not sure if you could stomach listening to the idiot in chief last night, I know I couldn’t, but the reviews are in and it was all just more of the same old crap the trump spews every time he opens his mouth…need wall, best president ever, murdering immigrants, I’m great and you’re not, interspersed with many adderal sniffles and stopping after every sentence for applause by his toadies in the congress…and that applause is the only reason he wanted to do the speech…he is so needy that he would cease to exist without applause and affirmation by his cronies. There was not one damn policy proposal…no comparison of where we are and where we need to be and how to get there…no anything at all of how to make the lives of Americans better….but there was a threat that if the investigations into him and his crime family didn’t stop, there would be no legislation signed by him…doesn’t the idiot know that that statement can be used as evidence of obstruction of justice? On a historical note, this is exactly what Nixon said in his final SOTU…that the investigations into Watergate had gone on long enough and needed to be stopped…and, how did that turn out for him? All in all…the whole speech was just a word salad of hate and bragging that no one should have watched….impeach…
Clothing is speech…
Well…have been searching around for a topic for today and it just popped into my head that maybe I should talk about clothing…specifically, clothing that has a message on it, and the fallout that comes from the message it sends. In the news lately, we have the Covington Catholic school boys who were filmed harassing a Native American man while wearing MAGA hats…and justifying the hats by saying they are just hats and a fad in their community. Yeah, right…those particular hats are connected to the racism, misogyny, and hatred that the idiot trump spouts every day…and I agree that they ARE the new white hoods like those worn by the KKK to terrorize AA’s throughout our history…they are just modernized versions of those hoods and are meant for the same things…to intimidate people who are not straight, white, and christian…and these kids understand that…especially when videos have surfaced of other kids from CC in blackface screaming at an opposing black basketball player…and not one damn adult is saying anything to them…no teacher, no administrator, no parent thought there was anything wrong with it. As it was in the 70′s when those of us opposed to the Vietnam war wore peace signs on our clothing and through today when we wear articles that support women’s rights…clothing can send a message either of peace or of hate…and a MAGA hat sends just that message of hate…it’s not ironic as some defenders of the CC kids have tried to assert…it is just about hate and white privilege…things that are acceptable to the CC community…and to way too many others in this country….
Why can’t the repubs do the right thing one damn time?
Well….with the latest revelations that trump and his cronies in the WH are interfering in the FBI investigation of Brett Kavanaugh, I have just one question: why can’t the repubs do the right thing one damn time? Trying to put the fix in on this investigation is just the latest of the repubs always doing the wrong thing…on their tax cut scam that only benefited the rich, on their continuing attempts to gut Obamacare and throw 20 million people of their health insurance, to their continued attempts to take away women’s right to control their own bodies, to gutting environmental regulations that will kill more than 20,000 Americans each and every year, the repubs are on the wrong side of every issue that the polls show Americans care about and are doing their best to destroy this country before they lose in the November elections…and, if they ram Kavanaugh through to the SC, it will de-legitimize the court so that any decisions they make will be seen in the nakedly partisan lens they should be….and the efforts of the dems to impeach and remove Kavanaugh will be the first order when we take back the house and is necessary to restore faith in our government institutions that the repubs have done their best to destroy….I just hate these assholes…
Some good stuff for a change….
Well….have been polluting this space for quite a while with all things trump so I think today, I will not do that….there are other topics to talk about and I think I’ll do that instead. It has been heartening to see the response to the neo-nazis who have been polluting cities across the country with their hate and racism…starting in Charlottesville and then in Boston over the weekend where 40,000 people turned up to counter the 100 or so Nazis that had hunkered down in a gazebo in a park there…they Nazis called it a “freedom of speech” rally but the only speech they care about is their hate speech that has no place in any society…these Nazi idiots had been emboldened by trump having supported them and had scheduled 37 more “rallies” across the country that have since been cancelled…since these supposed tough guys as scared shitless of good Americans calling them out and that there are finally consequences to their actions…public shaming, job loss, and sunlight are the best antidote to these haters and they have crawled back under the rocks where they came from….another big miscalculation these morons made is their belief that real Americans would buy into their hate since the echo chambers they listen to convinced them they would….turns out that they are still fringe assholes and companies across the world are shutting down their hate sites and starving them of the money that supports their racism…who’d have thought that so many people and companies would do the right thing and step on these cockroaches? Keep it up….

Well…things are swirling around DC today with the idiot trump’s tweetstorm that he is going to kick any transgender member of the military out since they are a “danger” to the military…and he lied while doing it, saying he talked to “his” generals and they agreed with him….nevermind that no one in the department of defense even heard about it before the idiot tweeted it…and the sec of defense is on vacation and never heard from trump….now, we all know what this is about…trump needs to shore up support from his idiot base and to distract from all of his failures and investigations….and his torture of Jeff Sessions…but it is more about his hatred…his hatred of the LGBTQ community, his hatred of immigrants, and his general hatred of anyone who is not trump….but the noose is closing…even his idiot daughter just lawyered up the other day with Mueller getting closer every day…I just can’t wait for the meltdown to continue and take the whole racist bunch of cronies with them….impeach…

Well…I don’t know if you’ve been watching the repub convention…I haven’t…just too much hate and lies all the time coming from a bunch of unbalanced idiots….but I guess that is my point here…normally, you get some policy proposals from the people that are speaking there…like last night was supposed to be about jobs and the economy…but not one speaker said one damn thing about either…it was all hate of Hillary all the time with the crowd getting into it by chanting “jail her” over and over in response to the felon Chris Christie attempting to “try” her in the convention using lies and debunked conspiracy theories…all that have been investigated NINE times by repubs and that not found one bit of wrongdoing by her…but, if you are a modern repub wrongdoing is not necessary…just your hatred of an individual who has been vilifed with lies by the right wing press for more than 20 years now…again…none of them have ever been true and again, that doesn’t matter to the ignorant asses that are the repub base these days…they just love to revel in their hate and they just KNOW Hillary is guilty…they just haven’t found the evidence yet….that is the definition of delusion that is aided and abetted by Breitbart and Fox “news”…there is nothing more to the modern repub…just hate…and the convention shows it…sad!
