Well…up before 7 this morning after waking up at around 4 and my legs are hurting like crazy for some reason…I wonder if it’s fallout from doing 16 miles a day on the indoor bike? Don’t know but I do know I need to get on the bike soon if I’m going to get two rides in before the third place game in the world cup comes on at 10…hmmm…maybe my legs hurt because I shoveled snow twice yesterday? I do need to get out there and do that again after I get off the bike and it looks like two a day or more with all the snow we are forecast to get…oh, well…it’s December in Michigan and that’s to be expected….didn’t get anything done yesterday and don’t really have anything to do today since I have leftovers to eat but I am going to make the next ham tomorrow and that will get me through for a week or so and I wonder if I’ll get one more if they are on sale next week? That would give me a lot of ham bones to make soup…at least three or maybe 4 so that will make some hearty soup….and I think I’ll do that before the new year….didn’t get the little paper with the ads that normally comes on Friday so I guess I’ll have to go out for the paper tomorrow to see them….not much to do today…just need to get on the bike here in a few minutes and get the day started but I want another cup of coffee and to read the news first….man, I’m tired….more later….
Indictments are coming donnie…
Well…there was a little bit of good news that came out this afternoon when the January 6th committee announced that it is going to refer the idiot trump to the DOJ for prosecution on three charges: Insurrection, Obstruction, and Conspiracy to defraud the US….all felonies and all with jail time attached…now, of course the DOJ could decline to prosecute but once the evidence is released in the report that is coming out next week, I think they are going to have to drag his ass off to jail…and the DOJ has been asking for all of the evidence the house committee has gathered so they can proceed with indictments and prosecutions of not only idiot boy but at least Meadows, too…and we should know that Monday when the committee is going to hold one last hearing to summarize it’s findings and make the referrals official….now I haven’t read anything if idiot boy has exploded today, but if he has a good lawyer he or she should be stuffing a sock in his mouth shut him up because anything he says will make it worse for him….can’t wait for Monday….
Dodged a bullet…I think…
Well…man, I think I may have dodged a bullet with my depression today….yesterday, it felt like a bad one was coming on but I don’t feel it today at all…and that never happens but I’ll take it…it’s been a good but unproductive day today and all I did so far is get the two rides in and make lunch and then read the news on mastodon for a couple of hours but I will need to go out and shovel the snow before long but I want it to stop snowing first…looking at the radar that isn’t going to happen for quite a while so I probably can do the snow after dark if it keeps snowing that long…and it looks like snow for the next week so I’ll be out there a lot and I don’t mind that at all…looks like I’ll have to heat my back after shoveling since it has had low grade pain all day today but just on my right side and that is more normal than it hurting all across my lower back…..okay, it’s getting lighter out there so I think I’ll go shovel….maybe more later…
Elon’s meltdown is going to cost him…
Well…with the Thursday night massacre at twitter where ole elon started to permanently block a bunch of journalists including Keith Olbermann for some pissy little reason, the thin skinned moron is going to pay for that in the UK where regulators are already readying fines since it is against the law to do that there…and it is just what I talked about a couple of weeks back when I noted that facebook just paid a 250 million dollar fine for running afoul of the content moderation laws there and this could cost elon at least that and maybe more…and the whole thing started when elon blocked a teenagers account on twitter that followed where his private jet was at any time….and then it escalated when reporters started calling elon on it and posting links to instructions how to set up an account on Mastodon…so then he blocked any account that mentioned Mastodon…oh, and do yourself a favor…go over and set up an account on Mastodon…no ads, no right wing crazies, and no elon…and lots of nice people….so in addition to losing a lot of his ad revenue, elon is going to be on the hook for big fines in both the UK and EU…can’t happen to a bigger moron….
December 16th
Well…up at 6:09 this morning and that is a little more like normal…but the depression that I could feel coming on last night is here so I’m not sure how the day is going to go…just poured the first cup of coffee and I sure hope it starts to work soon…had to put two pairs of glasses on to read my tablet this morning and I find that a little funny…but I can read my laptop just fine so I can do this with no problem….damn, I seem to be compensating a lot lately as I get older and I don’t like it much…it did start to snow last night and the lawn is covered and I wonder how much we’ll get today….as I said before, it is going to be kind of a hibernating day today and probably tomorrow with a winter weather advisory on for the day and I wonder if I should go out and walk around in it? I need to do something…okay, no I don’t…I’ve lived with depression my entire life and I know how it goes….it’s more of a nuisance than anything else and I’ll get through it….I do need to cook today and I’ll bake some chicken for lunch and then have some turkey soup for dinner and that will be what I’ll have for the next two days…still feel like I’ve gained back most of the weight I’ve lost but that can’t be true…but I do have to cut back to one meal a day to get ahead of the three weeks off the bike in January but I don’t want to do it now…the next couple of weeks is going to be as normal as I get around here…not much to do today….going to get on the bike in 30 minutes or so but I really don’t have much else to do today…so I’m just going to try to not put any stress on myself to keep to a schedule…after all, I have the entire day and the only thing I need to do is the two rides but that doesn’t seem to be too attractive right now…more later….

Well…with washing my outdoor bike and moving it downstairs this afternoon, I guess the decision to not ride outside anymore is final…it’s going to snow 4-8 inches out here in the next day or so and continue all next week with the cold coming in…so we’ll lose the trails anyway…I do need to organize the bike room better since I put the spare mattress in there yesterday but I had other things to do today….I did get out to pick up the items I forgot at Meijers yesterday so I’m good to not go out anywhere until next week and I can just sit here and watch the snow come down and then go out and shovel…and do two rides downstairs that I’m getting used to…I may shift up to three a day if I get bored but should probably use that time to start prepping the dining room for paint….I did get laundry done today and it looks like the timer on it is still working so that takes a load off…thought I was going to have to get a kitchen timer to use for it but don’t now….I did get another big ham today that I am going to cook Sunday but I have chicken and soup thawing until then…I do need to put the last ham bone in the freezer today and then I’ll make soup from the three I’ll have later….I guess I should get going but I needed the heating pad on my back and it feels good….maybe more later….
The Peripheral…
Well…haven’t talked about tv in a while but with “The Peripheral” showing up on Plex, I thought I’d do a shorty about it. I’m on the 3rd episode out of 8 and so far, it’s keeping me interested…more than that, it’s quite interesting with gamers, gun battles, time travel and lots of twists and turns…the story is set in 2033 and the main protagonists being a brother and sister who live in a small town down south and are using virtual reality for a standard shooter game when the show starts but then a new piece of equipment arrives from somewhere that allows them to project themselves to London in 2100 where the sister gets involved in intrigue there so there are a few story lines running at once…and her brother is an ex Marine who has electronic implants that allow him to communicate with others in his squad and they band together to fight off killers from the future who drive invisible cars…yep, it’s kind of weird but I like weird shows…the reviews weren’t too good but I decided to give it a try anyway and I’m glad I did…can’t wait to watch another one tonight…

Well…I’m sure there were some folks who were waiting breathlessly for the idiot trump’s “big announcement” that he telegraphed the other day…was he going to run for speaker of the house was the one that gained the most traction but that would mean he would have to actually work and he’d never do that…I really had hoped that he would be announcing that he was fleeing to Russia to avoid going to jail…but no such luck…it was just the announcement of another grift, and that is all he is about any more…to try to fleece the rubes one more time before he’s indicted and this one is just so tacky that I’m even shaking my head….now, for a limited time only, you can be the first to give idiot boy 99 dollars for a tacky card that has the idiot dressed up as a superhero…and that’s not all, it’s part of a set that every maga asshole needs…so get them all before they are gone…they will be collectors items and you can display them proudly in you living room….so get on it magas…give the idiot the rest of the money you have left…you don’t need to eat…geez…
December 15th
Well…damn, running late again today with waking up at 5 but not getting out of bed til almost 7…and I should be on the bike right now but just started my first cup of coffee and I need to have it start working soon….man, I forgot so much doing the grocery run yesterday that I have to go back out this morning and do it again…and that is not normal…and I have a weird taste for bagels and cream cheese but I can’t afford the calories so it will remain a taste…and substitute an apple I guess….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but the two rides and I’ll probably do the same thing today after I get the errand run but I am so damn worn out I don’t want to do anything….at least my back isn’t hurting much so I guess that’s something…..I do have to do laundry today but that will be about all for me….the attraction of taking the day off is pretty strong today but I know that all I have to do is get going and I’ll be okay….it looks like it is going to rain all day today but at least it’s not snow…yet…but the cold is coming next week and that will mean hibernation for me….but I do have to get used to winter weather here pretty soon since it’s going to come no matter how I feel about it….not much to do today…going to get on the bike right now and should be out to run the errand by 8:30 or so….and then I can do the second ride by 10 but I’m not sure what I’ll do with the rest of the day after that….don’t want to do anything right now…just frickin worn out….more later….
Respect for Marriage Act…
Well…Dark Brandon is at it again when he signed the Respect for Marriage Act yesterday that will protect same sex and interracial marriages from Alito and his corrupt Supreme Court….and this had to be done since the only thing protecting these rights were court decisions that Alito telegraphed he was going to do his best to over rule using his stupid logic that if these rights were not specifically enumerated in the constitution, they don’t exist…and he wouldn’t allow them to go on….this time, even 12 repub senators went along and voted for the bill since almost 80% of voters in this country wanted these rights to remain….this is one of the things that I had hoped that the dems would do as they prepare to lose the majority in the house…and they are going to fund the government for a full year if they can get that done this week…and it looks like they will, as I again hoped they would…now let’s get to the other thing I wanted them to do in the lame duck and pass the women’s right bill that would give bodily autonomy back to women after the SC took those rights away….oh, and while they are at it, they need to reform the SC and pass an ethics code that they have to follow at the very least to start cleaning up the corruption that is stinking up the place…geez…
