Well…I really hate frickin billionaires….with the pandemic windfall the all of these parasites made over the past two years, they now have trillions of dollars to take over the country and it’s communications…and today, Elon Musk is going to buy twitter with some of that free money and I, for one, am not going to help him make even more money so I will be leaving twitter after today. Look, the country just does not need another trump humper in charge of another huge part of the news/communication infrastructure like they have taken over most radio and television stations in this country…and the only reason he’s doing it is to help the far right spread their hate and propaganda since twitter now has rules in place to stop the spread of disinformation and lies but when he is owner, those rules go away and it turns into just another parler or gab where lies will be the currency of the day and support for the killing of our democracy is one of it’s prime purposes. This is the reason we need a billionaires tax that keeps this much power from the hands of a few right wing assholes who don’t give a damn about anything but themselves…bye,bye twitter…

I guess “donated” means something different to Elon…
Well…at the start of the Russian war against Ukraine, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, mad a big deal about “donating” some of his starlink internet receivers to Ukraine so they could continue to access the internet even if the hardwires were destroyed…well…I guess “donated” means something different to ole Elon than it does to you or me….just today, it was reported that you and I paid our tax dollars at the market price of 1500 bucks per receiver for the 1333 terminals that Elon said he “donated”…and the government also paid 800K to transport them to Ukraine….so, I guess Elon couldn’t afford to donate 3 million bucks like he says he can’t afford to pay taxes even though he made hundreds of billions of dollars during the pandemic….that is the problem with depending on the largess of billionaires instead of taxing them and then letting the government put the money to best use…most of these guys are just greedy as hell and to have them give up a penny for the greater good is just too much to ask it appears….so, while you see Elon patting himself on the back for a lie, just remember he was a regular at the trump WH and is just another maga asshole who cares about nothing but himself….geez…

Well…after the details started to come out on how the new infrastructure and BBB bills are going to be paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share, you could predict that the rich would come out and start whining about how much the tax increase is going to cost them…with the first whiner out of the box being Elon Musk who said that he would owe almost 10 billion dollars a year…and went on and on how it isn’t fair blah, blah, blah…I guess he didn’t think anyone would report that with the increase in the price of Tesla and spaceX stock that happened Monday, he made 36 billion dollars in one frickin day…yep, that’s billion with a B and this asshole is whining he may have to pay 10 billion in taxes for a year? He has more money reserves than most small countries and he still bitches about having to pay taxes…Elon, remember what this country did for you to make you so damn rich…don’t you think is would be fair that you pay some taxes to help pay for the infrastructure that the US government built for you? And pay some taxes for the contracts they have given SpaceX that essentially built your company? I have had enough of the rich just whining when they don’t get everything they want….and it is happening more and more and more…what the hell do they have to bitch about? geez….

Well…damn, I am going to admit that I was really, really wrong hectoring Elon Musk for donating to a repub super pac when I should have done more research to find out what was really going on….the donation was done just to buy access to repub politicians so they would listen to him…I guess even rich people have to pay to play with the repubs these days…and this is a huge difference between those of us on the left and the idiots on the right…when we are wrong we admit it, apologize, and try to do better…they don’t….sorry Elon…
Elon, WTF?
Well…just saw some disturbing news about Elon Musk that is going to turn a lot of people’s stomachs…I thought he was a okay guy who understands that climate change is going to destroy this planet, and that equality for all is necessary for a fair society. Yeah, not so much…it was revealed today that he wrote a check for 40,000 dollars to the super pac whose sole purpose is to keep repubs in control of the House…yep, the guy that stands up and lies to everyone that he believes in social justice is trying to ensure that the knuckle draggers who are trying to take us back to the 1800′s keep control of the House and do more damage to this country…so, to any gays that are thinking about buying a Tesla, the profit from your car is going to make sure you will never be equal in this country…to any women out there who are thinking of buying a Tesla, the profit from your car is going to the party that is doing everything they can to make sure you won’t have control over your own body anymore…I know I can’t afford a Tesla, but I have been supportive of Space X and now that ends with this sickening bit of news…I guess money is the only thing that matters to Elon…should have figured that out….WTF Elon?
Bitchin’ about Elon….
Well…I am constantly amazed at what people bitch about these days and how the trolls always try to turn something good into something ugly. This morning, when I got up and checked into twitter to see what was going on, there was a meme developing that was attacking
Elon Musk and SpaceX for launching Elon’s Tesla roadster into space…saying that it was a waste of money, that people are starving and Elon is an ass for launching the car. Now, I have my experience with trolls here on my site that I ignore every day, but I marvel at the ignorance of the commenters on many sites that I read every day….let’s get something straight, this launch was not just to send the car into space for a joke, it was to test a new rocket that will be essential to putting the US back in the lead in space travel and give us the capability to stop using the Russians to get to the ISS, along with the future trips to both the moon and Mars. Scientific progress is made when people support the work that goes into that progress, and to launch a car into space and to livestream it so people can be part of it give us a shared feeling of hope that we are progressing…and SpaceX has been visionary in this work…the last thing: not one dime of tax dollars went into this launch…it was a privately financed scientific experiment that immediately drove us forward…I have this to say to the haters out there…where the hell were your comments when the idiot trump spent $100 million dollars golfing…or when he proposed spending $30 million dollars just to fluff his ego? Until I hear that from you ignorant right wingers out there, just shut the hell up…geez….
Oh, and one last thing to remember…Elon is an immigrant from South Africa who, like millions of other immigrants, has made this country better…and the idiot trump tweeted his support for him Tuesday night…I wonder if that would have happened if he was a black South African? Yeah, we all can guess that one….
Let’s talk about some cool stuff…
Well…even with the country falling apart and turning into a kleptocracy in front of our eyes, there is still some cool stuff happening that can and should make us smile a little, especially if you’re a science geek like I am. On Friday, maybe, there is going to be a live fire test of the 27 rocket motors on the Falcon Heavy, getting it ready for a launch in the next couple of weeks. I liked Elon Musk’s comments from a couple of weeks ago that there is probably a “50% chance” that the thing is going to explode on launch since it is 3 times more complex than the Falcon 9 it is derived from…after all, it is really three Falcon 9′s strapped together…and two of them have been flown before…but, the really cool part is that they are going to try to land all three of the first stage boosters after they separate from the second stage….oh, and the payload? Elon Musk’s personal Tesla roadster that they are going to put into orbit around the sun if everything goes right. Now, I like the whimsical idea of launching a car into orbit where it will stay forever…unless we gain the capability to go out and get it in the next hundred years or so….I will be watching Friday and later in the month for the launch…it takes my mind off the idiot in the WH……
Elon Musk to the rescue….
Well…amid the total failure of the idiot trump and his fake companies to restore electrical service to Puerto Rico…5 weeks in and over 70% of the island is still without power…there has been one bright spot that was just reported on today. The San Juan children’s hospital has been hard hit by the hurricane and it’s aftermath, trying to keep the children alive using unreliable generators and the hurculean efforts of it’s staff….enter Elon Musk of Tesla who, a couple of days after the hurricane hit, offered to start the transition of the island to renewable power using his solar panels and batteries…but trump and his minions had no interest since coal and oil are the only things they think about….oh, and trying to make profit off of this disaster….in three weeks, Musk and his team have installed and started an installation that is supplying all of the reliable power that the hospital needs…and saving the lives of the most vulnerable….Now, this is how things should operate in a caring world..but, we live in trumpworld so good luck with that…..impeach…

Well…with over 95% of Puerto Rico still without power after hurricane Maria, and the idiot trump not giving a damn about when or if the power will be restored…I guess trump thinks it was enough to throw paper towels at the people there…here comes Elon Musk proposing he can scale up his solar panel/battery storage systems to power the entire island….as he has done for some other smaller islands across the world. With PR having the oldest, most expensive electrical generating equipment of any US state or territory, why should we just rebuild the old stuff and keep PR paying 3 times as much for electricity? To reward trump’s buddies who are already circling the island like a bunch of vultures? The long term cost would be much lower to modernize the grid there, and it could be decentralized so that even with another hit by a hurricane, the entire island would never be without power again. the only problem here is with the idiot trump, who would never approve anything like that…after all, he can’t profit from it…impeach…

Well…after the head of Uber resigned from the idiot trump’s business advisory committee, the public has started to put pressure on the rest of the collaborators to trump’s fascist regime to get them to resign. The response by Elon Musk has diminished him in my eyes immeasurably….he tried to justify his continued seat on the committee by saying that it is better to work from within…blah, blah, blah….and that trump will listen to him and the rest of the people on the committee…now I’m laughing out loud…have you ever met this idiot Elon? He is no more likely to listen to you than a fricking wall….remember, he has said constantly that he knows more than anyone about everything so why the hell do you think he would listen to you? All your continued collaboration with this racist, fascist regime is doing is giving it an air of normalcy and legitimacy, which it is neither….Elon, you are from South Africa and you saw the damage of businesses going along with the apartheid regime there…the damage done to anyone who was not white, and now you support a regime that wants to create the same type of second class citizens that apartheid created by it’s hatred against the LGBT community and immigrants?
