Well…I know I’ve said this before but riding the bike for 4+ hours a day is putting a cramp in getting other things done…didn’t even have time to read at all today…got 4 bike rides in and the two outdoors left me with a sore neck…again…from being out in 25 mph wind on the way out on both rides…so that forced me to be out doing yard work at 5 pm and that is way too late for me…but, with the rain coming in, I wanted to get some more grass seed in to start filling in the spots that were just weeds that I put weed killer on…will need some more topsoil for some of the patches and I may just rake in some seed on all those patches and then it will just sit there until it rains enough for a few days to make it sprout…I lost a good third of the yard to the drought last year and it will probably take the rest of the year to get it to fill in…going to need to treat all of my aches with biofreeze and voltaren tonight…along with an ibuprofen…the house a block to the north sold yesterday…it was listed at 225K so I wonder what it sold for? Could be good news for me…would never sell this place for under 180 grand now…

The first frickin witness…
Well…the idiot trump’s trial continued today and the first witness…the first frickin witness drove the nails into idiot boy’s coffin when he said he conspired with trump to both effect the election by helping pay off Stormy Daniels, and also to do the same thing by running false stories about Hillary Clinton in his paper, the National Inquirer…and there are more to come with one of the idiot’s top aides, Hope Hicks, who was in the meetings when they talked about the conspiracy to commit election fraud…and then the paper trail that the idiot left behind will be introduced and, from what I’ve read, that nails him to the center of the conspiracy…cripes, they even have the check that idiot boy signed personally to pay Cohen back for paying off Stormy…oh, and at the hearing on trump’s violation of the gag order he is under, his brilliant lawyers revealed two more times he violated the order…and he’s paying these guys a million bucks a week? Geez…
April 23rd
Well…I sure needed that last night…slept okay with only getting up once and then staying in bed until 6:30…still feel pretty worn out but getting more than 4 hours of sleep has to help…the wind is howling out there at 20mph and gusting so I’m not sure about the outdoor rides right now…I do need to get on the indoor bike in a few minutes and I’m running out of tv shows to watch on freevee so I may have to find something else for the indoor rides…watching a show called “Homecoming” done by the same guy who did “Mr. Robot” with Julia Roberts in the lead and it has kept me interested but I’m on the last episode…oh, not really…there is a second season that I forgot about….the end of the first quarter of the year is coming up at the end of April and I needed to be 1/3rd of the way to the 7K goal and I’m ahead of that 2,333 mile requirement at 2,490 miles as of this morning…but, with how iffy November and December are, I need to get going and probably do some 24 mile rides indoors…using my “Abbey Road” coffee mug this morning…almost forgot I had it…not much to do today…just the rides and grilling some pork chops later…or maybe tomorrow…have leftovers to eat today and should use them up first…and I’m going to get more tomorrow to put some in the freezer…more later…
Man, I’m exhausted…
Well…damn, I’m exhausted and it’s clear to me why…didn’t sleep well last night…was struggling to get to sleep an stay asleep all night…finally gave up at around 5:30 and started reading the news to get on the bike for the first ride at 6:30 and then the second one at 7:45 to get the 16 miles I needed indoors…then out to the dentist at 10 where I got some good news that my gums look good and there wasn’t much tartar but she did smooth out the enamel on my teeth that I’ve never had done before and my teeth are very smooth…after that, a quick lunch and then out on the outdoor bike by noon for the first outdoor ride and then back out for the second ride a little after one…for a total of 41 miles on the bike today and after that I planted some perennials along the back of the house and gathered some trash to put out and put water out for the birds and squirrels…I wanted to read a bit but I’m just too worn out to keep my eyes focused…I did get some pork chops at Meijers that I’ll cook tomorrow and I got a free recycled shopping bag they were giving away for earth day which is today…
He has to just sit there…
Well…this is just so rich…as his trial in the election payoffs start, none of the tricks he uses to make his points like scowling at people, talking over them, and lying constantly are going to be allowed to work in the courtroom…so he has to just sit there as the prosecution calls witnesses and they testify that yes, he was involved in the business records fraud and the only time he can comment is before or after court…and even then the gag order he is under prevents him from commenting on them or anything that happened in court…he is not in control of any of it, and he doesn’t have the comfort he gets from his glassy eyed followers fawning all over him…and I don’t feel bad about that at all…for someone who has done so much damage to the US and world, he deserves anything he gets….geez…
April 22nd
Well..darn, that sucked…up all night and I think the total of sleep was about 4 hours and I crawled out of bed at 5:30 to get the day started…just poured the first cup of coffee and need to get that down so I can get on the bike by 6:30 and get two rides in before my dentist appointment at 10…going to stop at Meijers and pick up some pork chops to grill for 1.49 a pound…it looks like it’s going to be warm enough by the time I get back here to head right out and do the first outdoor ride but the wind is going to be blowing 10-20 and out of the sw so I’ll be going straight into it on the way out and I’m already sore from prepping the garden the other day…it looks like we may get some frost the next couple of nights so I’ll wait to plant outdoors until next week…and I need to make a map of what is planted where since I’m going to plant broccoli seeds along with some leeks just to see if they will come up and augment the sprouts I have downstairs…didn’t get any cukes to survive last year so I’m going to brute force them with lots of seeds going in…oh, and I have a couple of packs of lettuce seeds that are going to go in…not much to do today…just need to get moving and get the rides in and then take if from there….more later…

Well…it was a pretty easy day today after the bike rides and weight work…didn’t do anything this afternoon but read and watch races and, now that I come to think of it, it’s probably as close I’m going to get to taking a day off…it never got over 46 out here and there was no way I’m dragging the winter bike clothes out to do an outdoor ride…I am pretty sore from chopping out the garden yesterday and spading it so I’ll put the heating pad on in a bit…have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning so no cocktails for tonight…and it looks like it will be warm enough to do two rides outdoors tomorrow and now I have to think if I want to try to do two rides indoors before I go to the dentist at 10….I think I over planted the beans downstairs since I have 19 plants up and will probably have 5 more coming up…can’t have enough fresh beans…I’ll still probably plant more beans and peas directly into the garden, too, along with some broccoli and extra cukes….and probably peppers, too…can’t have too many of those either….
Cracks in the foundation…
Well…after the idiot trump did everything he could to stop the House passing an more aid to Ukraine, the speaker of the house brought the aid bills to the floor where they passed by a 311 to 94 margin with both dems and repubs voting for it…and this came less than a week after Johnson went down to the idiot’s tacky Florida golf club to kiss his ass…and the rich part is that Johnson even made a little speech saying that those who oppose the aid are just stooges of putin…and other repub house members also commented that the far right assholes were doing putin’s bidding…so now I wonder, are we seeing the first cracks in the foundation of idiot boy’s hold on the repub party? I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but while we’re waiting, let’s remember what idiot boy’s first impeachment was about…he was withholding aid to Ukraine and trying to blackmail them into “finding” some dirt on Joe Biden…and parroting all of putin’s talking points as he did it…so you know what will happen if the idiot gets elected again…goodbye NATO and goodbye Ukraine…geez…
April 21st
Well…you know, there used to be a time when I would take Sundays off to let my body repair itself and to take some time for myself with no goals to meet…but I sit here with 26 minutes before I have to get on the bike by 7am so that just doesn’t work anymore…I hate this damn weather…it’s only getting up to 50 today and that will keep me off the outdoor bike today since I will not put the thermasuit on to go out….so it’s another day of only 16 miles and my goal of 7K is receding into the distance….I did get the garden prepped yesterday and I may go out and plant some flowers along the back and side of the house today…but the coffee needs to work to have that happen…I do have grass seed that needs to be planted, too…since half of the yard is weeds that I hit with weed killer and is dying and needs to be raked out…but it’s still too damn cold to do that too…it’s only 37 degrees and I am so tired of the cold…I did make chicken Masala yesterday and I have some chicken thighs that need to be cooked along with another head of broccoli…and that reminded me that I have broccoli seeds that need to be planted when I get to the garden…fresh broccoli is pretty yummy and pairing it with beans is something to look forward to…not much to do today…just the bike rides and cooking that I need to get started with right now…or in 10 minutes…I’m so damn tired…more later…
Got the garden ready…
Well…with the temp never getting over 41 today and the wind blowing hard, I had time to work on the garden since I wasn’t going to even try to ride outdoors…and it was funny when I was spading it, I found some carrots that had sprouted and started to grow from seeds that I planted last year but never sprouted…so that was weird…it looks like I’ll be able to start planting things out there in a couple of weeks but I’m not going to do that until I’m sure there won’t be any more frosts…last year I lost the entire first planting to frost but I really had to get it done early so I could take it out before the trip…I do have beans, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and sunflowers up right now and I sure hope the green and chili peppers come up along with the peas I’m trying for the first time this year…and I do need to plant the flowers I got this year…probably tomorrow…not going to add any manure this year since I think I put too much on it last year and that was the trouble I had getting everything to live…I guess we’ll see…
