Well…I’m getting pretty fed up with writing about the cancer of trump and trumpism so I think this one will have a lighter note and I’ll just talk about music and some other stuff that interests me. I’m in a little better of a mood today with hearing from a friend that I hadn’t heard from all week and that made me worry about her…but, heard from her last night and this morning so I guess things are back to normal…oh, the music…my son got his streaming service back on line over the weekend and that gave me back a channel called axsTV that is all about music and musicians and that helps relieve the boredom somewhat. Yesterday, there was a show on about the making of AJA by Steely Dan and it was so cool to see Donald and Walter back together in the studio again and to listen to interviews with the studio musicians who played on the album….and to see D and W play with the engineering board to isolate the different tracks and then explain how and why they wanted it done that way…a pretty cool hour that made me miss Walter even more. There was another one with the Who and how their project called “lifehouse” turned into Who’s Next…one of my favorite albums of theirs and it was just interesting to see the process that Pete Townshend goes through when he creates the Who’s music…again, breaking down the different parts of the songs and showing how he thinks…pretty cool stuff that you just don’t get to see very often. Oh, one last thing that is not music related but still cool…SpaceX is launching a satellite tonight at about 8:45 and they will try to land the first stage on the drone ship…might be cool to see one in the dark….
February 21st
Well…decided to come here to do this one early today since I have a half hour before I have to get ready to do the grocery run….up early again this morning…looked at the clock and thought it said 6 but it was only 5 when I dragged myself out of bed and I am feeling that smart move…my shoulder hurt like crazy last night and I’m not sure why that would be other than working out yesterday but it didn’t hurt while I was working out…weird…but, it’s okay now…kinda…didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks much the same with having absolutely no motivation…it’s even going to be a lot of work just to do the grocery run today and I am looking forward to coffee once I get back here….at least it’s over freezing outside right now so I won’t have to warm the car up before I go…with the rain yesterday, I was a little concerned that the locks on the car would be frozen again but it looks okay….more later…
Another day…another two scandals…
Well…is anyone else just getting damn tired of the unending stream of scandals coming from the trump crime family every disgusting day? Following and writing about this stuff is just so corrosive that I do think it’s affecting my brain and is triggering my depression…I mean, how the hell do you have two scandals in one day? The NYT Monday night dropped a bombshell that trump had been trying to interfere in the SDNY prosecution of Michael Cohen by getting one of the cronies that he appointed to that office to take over the investigation…but, the one little problem is that this idiot promised to recuse himself from anything trump related in that office (yeah, I know, what the hell else would he have to do?) but idiot boy tried to get this other idiot to un-recuse himself which he wouldn’t do. Then trump got the acting AG Whitaker to pressure the second idiot and he still refused and that set trump off to the point of screaming at Whitaker. Of course, Whitaker lied about the irate phone calls from trump under oath, in front of a House committee and now the chair of that committee, Jerry Nadler, wants Whitaker back soonest to ask him about his lies…and remember this, one of the felonies that Michael Cohen is going to jail for is lying to congress…so bye, bye Whitaker…you can keep Cohen company when you go to jail with him…I wonder how long it’s going to take for these morons to understand that trump is deadly poison to them and their careers? I guess it just shows that the only people willing to work for trump are the dumbest people in the world…a really good fit for trumpworld…impeach…oh, that was only one scandal…this one was getting too long so I think I just do another one on today’s scandal but, not for awhile…
February 20th
Well…running late this morning and just can’t get going….had another fitful night of sleep that left me tired again and I think I made the coffee too light…it was kind of amber when I poured it, not the dark that it needs to be, so I think it is not going to work as well as I need it to…I didn’t have enough leftovers yesterday so I had to make a cup of tea and I couldn’t believe how much caffeine it has in it…like jet fuel but I don’t like the taste much…it took me many years to get used to coffee and I don’t want to put in that much time for tea at my age…it was kind of down day yesterday and it was a struggle to get things done but I did get out to wash the car and then got two bike rides in…my shoulder hurts again this morning but I am going to hurt it some more with working out here in a few minutes….I did make another homemade pizza yesterday and I think I have the crust recipe down now…just the right thickness and taste so I need to write that down so I can repeat it in the future….not much to do today…just going to ease into it today since I don’t have any energy yet…probably won’t do much since I just don’t feel like it….more later…
Brexit supporters are just as stupid as trump’s
Well…as the deadline for the UK to leave the EU fast approaches, the pre-fallout of the economic chaos that is coming to the UK is starting to be much, much clearer. Just yesterday, Honda announced that it will close it’s plant there putting 3,500 people out of work and this is not the first company to understand that it will not be viable to continue to build anything in England. Airbus, Jaguar, and Nissan are just a few of the companies who have seen that their supply chains will see huge increases in costs without the integration of the EU but it doesn’t matter to the people who voted for brexit, whose primary reason for voting to leave the EU was their racist views on immigration and wanting to “keep England England” which is code for keeping “brown” people out. Sound familiar? In the US, the racist trump supporters did exactly the same thing and are seeing exactly the same results with the idiotic trump tariffs that are putting thousands of farmers out of business and the jobs that support those farmers are gone, too…and this is in areas that voted overwhelmingly for trump. Both trump followers and brexit supporters were lied to, with both trump and the parliments brexit MP’s saying that their economies would thrive and grow once “onerous regulations” were removed…but, it looks like the only thing being removed from England is jobs and the minority who supported brexit just doesn’t care….their hate is their security blanket as their economy craters….and it is just going to get worse…
February 19th
Well…not sure how this happened but now both of my shoulders are hurting…man, I am getting really tired of the pain every damn day and now my heel has cracked and that hurts, too…okay, this is just depressing and I seem to feel creakier by the day…I know that I probably caused the pain in my shoulder by working out with full weight yesterday but it’s been two months…shouldn’t it be healed by now? Oh, well…didn’t sleep for crap last night and was up at 5:14 again and I think that may be part of not feeling that hot today…okay, done bitching about anything…had an okay day yesterday and got two bike rides in but didn’t get a lot else done…I am going to make another homemade pizza today for lunch since I have everything I need and I don’t want it to spoil…I do like the fresh mozzarella that I got last week but I am getting tired of cheese in general so I think I use up what I have left for the pizza and then freeze the other two pounds I have in the fridge…I think I’ll be eating out of the freezer for the next week or so since there is nothing on sale at any of the grocery stores that I use that I want to eat…have plenty of chicken in there but I need to get a little more creative in how I cook it…I do have to clean the kitchen counters today and the stovetop just so I can say that I did something today….more later….
The toddler in chief is whining again…
Well…will someone on the right please go read the first amendment to the toddler in chief? I know I say this a lot but trump is dumber than a box of rocks…and he put that stupidity on full display this weekend when he went off on twitter attacking SNL for hurting his fee fees with a hilarious takedown of his delusional, just frickin nuts speech announcing the “national emergency” that his fevered brain created out of thin air so he can build his stupid wall along the Mexican border. If you haven’t seen the tweets, the gist is he is calling for “retribution” against SNL for pointing out how ridiculous idiot boy is, and this bullshit just shows he knows nothing of the oath he took to protect the Constitution, or the fact that the first amendment protects most speech from interference by the government….but, hey…that never stopped the moron before, his ignorance has been on display for long enough now that this is, sadly, just par for the course…yeah, did you get that one? Ha, ha….luckily we have less than two years to have to put up with trump’s bullshit…or maybe even less as the multiple investigations close in on the crime family he heads…oh, and by the way…Mueller has found that Roger Stone DID conspire with Wikileaks and the Russians…and that information came from the Russians who were indicted by Mueller, not only from American evidence…so who is the colluder now, Donnie boy? Impeach…
February 18th
Well…I just realized something as I was pouring the first cup of coffee…the Mr. Coffee coffee maker that I am using now has outlasted every Black and Decker unit that I had before it…it’s almost two years now and that is twice as long as any one before…probably shouldn’t have said anything…it will probably quit later today…slept okay last night and didn’t get up until 6 this morning but I don’t feel as if I’ve slept too well…just feel sluggish and tired but I’m pretty sure I ate enough yesterday so that can’t be it…it could be that I’m just getting old which I am…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…didn’t even get on the bike since I wanted to rest my legs and help the pain subside some and it appears to have helped but I hurt everywhere else so I think I’ll take something for it before I get on the bike later…not much to do today…I was going to cook but decided that can wait til tomorrow with the leftovers I have in the fridge…and I have no motivation to clean but the coffee may help with that…more later…

Well…I was going to bitch and whine about the server being down all day today but it just started to work again so I think my son figured it out…that was the first time that I can remember that Plex even didn’t work and I was going through withdrawal with not being able to access any of the tv shows that I have been trying to catch up on…but, it hasn’t been too bad with Daytona on today…and it is even a pretty good race, not like the duels that I bitched about Thursday….man, I have become pretty dependent on having some entertainment on line with not a lot else to do so I think I may have to change that….but, right now, I think I’ll go back to the race…as you can see, no politics today…just don’t feel like it right now….
February 17th
Well…not sure if I’m running late or not…normally on Sunday I forget to come here but not today…just didn’t get started until a little later than normal since I got up at 5 but said the hell with it and went back to bed until 6:15…not sure why that is working lately but I’ll take it…the extra 45 mins in bed seems to make a difference…at least for the first hour or two that I’m up…here’s something weird…my feet hurt this morning and I can’t figure that one out…I know I have a heel crack on my right foot that is painful but this pain is all over them and that is new…oh, well….it just goes with the rest of the whole body pain I have today…cripes, I need to stop complaining about that…after all, I’m old and should hurt some…I did get some cleaning done yesterday and finally cleaned up the plastic that my weight machine is shedding along with vacuuming so I feel okay about that…but, I do need to do more today since this place is so dusty and needs some cobweb removal…but, not until more coffee and some news…might even take the day off the bike to just let the legs rest and recover….more later…
