Well…man, I don’t know why I’m so damn sore today…even my obliques hurt and that never happens…and my right big toe has me limping today and it didn’t hurt at all when I went to bed last night…so, I guess it wasn’t the bike ride that did it…oh, well…yesterday was filled with anticipation for the first Wings game and they really disappointed me so maybe I can catch up on the shows on the server instead….didn’t do a whole lot yesterday but I did get the car washed so I guess that’s something…it is only about 35 degrees outside right now so the bike ride will have to wait until noon or so…and that is not too bad since I can’t get motivated right now…okay…need to go back to the couch and have more coffee…and catch up with the news so I can do another one of these today….more later….

Well…it’s kind of funny when you make some cash then spend most of it on groceries the next day….still have enough to shoot pool tomorrow and wash the car today so I guess that will have to be a win…I think part of the soreness I have been feeling is the change of weather that is happening…at least I hope so…my phone has been acting up lately and I think I am going to need a new one soon…might even switch to another carrier to get a new one free and cut my bill some….oh, the grocery run is why I’m running late this morning…as it is every Thursday…I do have work to do on the car in the next couple of days…the paint on the wiper arms is wearing off and I need to paint them before winter so they don’t look so shabby….I do like the new wipers I bought last week…no skipping or noise and they clear the windshield really well…but 8 bucks each? Used to be able to get a pair for 8 bucks…or less….don’t have a lot to do today but find my Wings gear so I can wear it for the opening game tonight…tune in later for my take on the new season…more later…

Well….have been writing about Trump way too much lately so I’m going to use today as a a brain bleach day and talk about other stuff for a change…and Trump will still be there tomorrow…unfortunately….I did make some cash today and got to drive the Miata around with the top and windows down and got all the errands done before it started to rain….the music has been sounding different on the bike lately and I’m not sure if it’s the bike being fixed so I can concentrate on it or what…or I’m turning it up louder maybe…who knows? Today appears to be the last day of getting out early with just a t-shirt, though, and I had to shorten the ride to get my errands done so that was a little disappointing…another harbinger of time passing that will end with snow…but I don’t want to think about that yet….don’t like waiting to go out on the bike…I like the way the light looks earlier, too…I am looking forward to the Wings season starting tomorrow night but I will do one on that tomorrow…as usual….okay, that’s about it…have to start thinking about what’s for dinner…..

Well…this one is going to be short since I need to get the bike ride in before I have errands to run…yesterday was okay and I have the bike fixed enough so that it is fun to ride again…but, the screw I put in the seat post will need to be replaced soon since there is already some play in it…but it is so much better that I went really hard yesterday and it felt good….I won a backpack at a store that I frequent yesterday and that was kind of cool…not sure if I’ll ever use it but it was still cool….I think I know why my right thigh has been hurting lately…it is overwork from having the pedal arm on the left loose and not putting pressure on it…okay…need to get going more later….

Well….yesterday was really a Monday and that is not a good thing….I did have a nice lunch with T but after that her car broke down and stranded her…when we were leaving the restaurant her car sounded like it barely started and then it didn’t when she was putting gas in it…I think it’s the battery but we’ll see later today when the work gets done on it….I got a few things done yesterday but I didn’t have much to do so I didn’t….just have been in a funk lately and I’m not sure why…I guess I’ll just ride it out like I always do…my back is going through the pain/no pain thing for the past couple of weeks and I probably should be used to it by now….just stiff this morning so maybe it’s getting better? Just have the normal stuff to do today and I really do need more coffee so I think I’ll do that right now…more later…

Well…I almost forgot that I did do some things yesterday…after the success of fixing the pedal arm on the bike…4 days and counting that it has not come loose….I decided to work on the other things that needed to be fixed….the stitching on the seat had worn through so I had to sew both sides back together with some heavy duty thread that did take a while and I stuck the needle under my fingernail which still hurts like crazy…and I drilled the seat post to put a screw in it to keep it from rotating…but, the screw head broke off when I was putting it in…if I have to remove it, I think there may be enough thread sticking out to grab it with vise grips….when I rode this morning, the bike felt almost good enough to get another year out of it….maybe….

Well…another wasted day yesterday and there are too many of those lately…not sure what the problem is but there is one…I did get to watch lots of sports yesterday so that was cool but nothing else got done…I did work on the bike but it didn’t work out like I thought…should be okay and we’ll see when I get on it later….put too much coffee in the coffee maker this morning and it overflowed the grounds into the carafe so I had to re-filter it and it is very strong..almost espresso like so I hope that will help me get out of this funk…I did get some good news this morning…having lunch with T today and it will be good to see her….it’s been a while…I do have an errand to run this morning but I’m not sure if I’ll get to it before lunch since I have to wait for the temp to come up to get on the bike…I guess I could do it this aft….more later….oh, I do have a debate one to do later so come on back…

Well….I was going to do one to declare that the bike is fixed but I just didn’t get around to it…but, the bike is fixed…2 days now with no loose pedal so maybe I have it this time….didn’t get a whole lot else done yesterday bu I’ll have to do more today….feel pretty crappy this morning and had some weird dreams last night…I slept on my left shoulder that hurts like crazy….it may be a good day to just hang out and rest since the temp is only 44 and I need it to be 47+ to go out without gloves…don’t have enough leftover coffee this morning so I may need to make more…don’t think a cup and a half is enough to get me moving….okay…need to find out who won the F1 race last night so I’m headed back to the couch….will be back for another one later…maybe…

Well…running a little late today and part of it is that I just can’t get going this morning…went out to have a couple with K last night and that got my night started way too early…oh, and I lost at pool…and we can throw in pool day so it was a long one yesterday….my back was okay most of the day yesterday but it hurts again today and I’m not sure why….I’m hoping I have the bike fixed but won’t know for sure until I get out today…but, it’s only 45 right now so I need to let the temp come up some so I don’t have to wear gloves….don’t have a heck of a lot to do today but watch sports so that is what I’m going to do….more later….oh, and clean some….maybe…

Well….out on the bike this morning, I came up on a place where the trail crosses a road and a Honda Fit, the smallest car that Honda sells int he US, was crossing in front of me….the first thing that popped into my head was: “who the heck would buy a car that small?” The laughter just exploded into my head from that…but you have to understand the context of that….If you’ve been here before, you know that I drive an A version 1994 Miata, one of the smallest cars ever sold in the US…it doesn’t even have a back seat…at least the Fit has four doors AND a back seat…okay, it was funny to me.

Oh, some trail stuff, too…I may have fixed the pedal arm on the bike…at least I got through today without it coming loose….yesterday, I took it apart and cleaned the whole thing up..then I slathered the shaft with blue Loctite, put the arm back on, and then whacked it to make sure it seated where it should…the thing went on an extra quarter inch and was stable even without the bolt…but, I red Loctited the bolt anyway and tightened it as tight as I could…so far, so good….
