Well…out on the ride today I had a thought…there seems to be lots of hawks out there now…every day I see at least one and sometimes up to five of them and that never happened when I was young….I remember that when we sighted one then, it was something of a special event…the same goes for turkeys and geese…I never remember seeing any turkeys when I was a kid and we spent lots of time in the woods back then….the only geese we saw were in the sky, not in the crowds of them everywhere we see now…I wonder what the change was? Is it the cleaner environment or that we are encroaching into their habitats? Just musing a little…..

Well…yeah, I know what day this is but I’m not going to talk about that today…it’s been done too much…I had a pretty productive day yesterday with getting the cobwebs taken care of, doing laundry, and vacuuming…the place looks pretty clean now and that is cool…got sucked into the Star Trek marathon again last night and that was okay…just have gotten bored with races….I did get the chicken brined but had a huge leak in the first gallon bag I put it in….brand new and the damn thing leaked….it was nice to have the humidity go away last night…I am really tired to be damp all the time and not being able to sleep…okay….the Moto GP race is on so I’m going back to the couch to have more coffee…more later…..

Well…didn’t shoot pool yesterday so I didn’t win or lose…I did have to go out late in the aft and the traffic around here is starting to look like Chicago….took me 45 minutes to get from here to the north end and that is a pain….my right thigh is just killing me this morning and this is  a pain that has been been around for a while now…hurts like crazy on the bike and I’m not sure how I hurt it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and, with all of the sports on, today looks like the same….I was watching the Manchester derby but Man U looks so bad I went back to the Star Trek marathon…and, sine the game started early, I am running early here today…which is a good thing since there is rain coming and I need to get out on the bike before it gets here…no cooking today with all of the leftovers I have in the fridge so the chicken will have to wait until tomorrow…I do have to brine it today but that only takes a few minutes…okay…going to check on the match and finish my coffee….more later…..

Well…what a wasted day yesterday….I did get the grocery run done but little else…not sure if that should bother me or not…after all, I really don’t have a lot to do….I am really tired of the humidity but I don’t want fall to come just yet…it was cool going out in the fog this morning and seeing the clouds blowing past….I think I have enough food now that I can hunker down for a month or so and not spend any more money….and I think I’ll try that…going to be a little lean for a while….haven’t been sleeping much lately and I am starting to feel it…just dragging this morning and I hope it doesn’t continue all day…there is a Star Trek marathon going on on BBC this morning so I think I’ll go back to the couch and watch that…more later….

Well….I did watch some of the forums last night…and I still need brain bleach to get Trump’s words out of my head…but that’s one for later…I am a little depressed this morning with the first, or second, sign that summer is over….had to put the headlights on going out for groceries today and I went out at the normal time…and I spent 50 bucks on nothing which compounds the depression…okay, not really depressed but the signs of time passing have become a little more relevant as I get older…I did get a whole chicken for only 89 cents a pound and that will be for Saturday…have to get it brined tomorrow to make it juicy….I’ve gotten 5 days in a row now without the pedal arm coming loose on the bike so that is a plus….I really hope the humidity starts to go away today…everything around here is damp and I think that adds to my malaise…and the fact that the storms missed us yesterday has been par for the course this summer…was looking forward to them…and now it looks like I’ll be going out in the showers this morning…I did read that a biker got hit by lightning the other day so I guess that’s something new to worry about….more later….

Well…feeling better today and I think I’m finally over the bug that I had for the past few days….I did get out yesterday to make a little cash so that was cool, too, and got out to get the stuff for some salsa that I made with the tomatoes I got from G…thought I’d added too much cumin but after I let it set until last night, the flavors melded and it was pretty good…I have enough tomatoes to make a second batch later in the week, too, so that will be cool….I wonder if the pain I feel every morning is going to be a permanent thing now….it has been a while since I woke up pain free and that is annoying…but, the ibuprofen takes care of it so I guess I shouldn’t bitch too much….the bike has been working okay but I know it’s on it’s last legs…oh, talked about that yesterday….I did talk to C for a few minutes the other day and it looks like we’ll have lots to catch up on when I see him….not much to do today….I do need to get out on the bike soon since it is supposed to rain this aft but that is about it…and I need to cook today, too, to get my system back in the groove…..more later….

Well…have been having a hard time coming up with topics lately and I know I need to do a better job of it…am in a little bit of a slump and I’m not sure what the deal is…oh, well….feel a little better today but I shouldn’t with going out to have a few with G yesterday….she brought me so many veggies that it is all I will be eating the rest of the week…going to make some salsa today and saute some eggplant but how many veggies can you eat without being tired of them? Got some weird long beans, too, that I have never had before so that will be something to try….spent 30 bucks this morning and got all the spices I need for the salsa…cumin and cilantro is not cheap….didn’t do much yesterday but watch races and today will be the same…it is already hot out there and I put the top down for the grocery run…almost decided to go out to the beach today with the kids going back to school…but, still don’t feel 100% so I think maybe tomorrow….more later…

Well…still feeling pretty crappy today…and I’m not sure what is going on…all I know is that I am sweating like crazy just sitting here typing so there must be some kind of a bug…I just want it gone…and, I woke up to my left foot hurting like it has cramps…man, I’m falling apart this week….it seems like a normal Monday to me but I know it’s a holiday and I know they don’t mean much to me anymore….I did have to clean the bike yesterday so I will need to lube it up this morning before I get out…rode in the rain/sludge the other day and couldn’t get the squeak out if it with all of the sand in the swingarm….I really do need to start thinking about a new bike….not much to do today…going to do the normal stuff and then watch the drag races for a while but that is about it….

Well…still not feeling too hot today and that will be three days now…not sure what is going on but it has gotten really annoying…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and it looks the same for today…I do have some work to do and there are lots of races on so I think it may be a semi veg day today after the bike ride….I will go over 2K miles this morning and it looks like an average year this year…haven’t done a lot of double stints since I just don’t feel like it for some reason…not too sore today but I do need the pain killers before the bike ride since I have pain in my right forearm that feels like tendonitus…..and I don’t need to aggravate it….okay…need to get back to the F1 race and have more coffee….more later….

Well….man…I still feel pretty crappy today and can’t figure out what the heck is going on…oh, I did win at pool and had fun doing it….I think I may not be eating enough, again, so today there are going to be no limits on what I eat…other than the years of limiting my caloric intake…that may be hard to overcome….it is pretty cool outside so I do need to wait until after F1 qualifying to get out on the bike….but I do need to get out right after since Michigan plays at noon and I want to see that…will have to see if I can find my gear to wear…and I hope they play better than State did last night…they just looked pretty bad…I did watch the season finale of Roadies last night and I am trying to figure out what it is about the show that I like so much…might have to do one of these later to explain it…don’t have a lot to do today other than sports so I think it will be pretty much of a veg day after the bike ride and I don’t mind that….more later…
