Well…another wasted day yesterday and I didn’t get anything done….and today looks the same as I wait for the maint guys to come and work on the dryer….what a pain….and I feel a little crappy this morning with that damn low level bug I’ve had for a while now…my lungs are kind of clogged up and I am coughing some…oh, well….at least my back doesn’t hurt so I guess that’s something….didn’t get on the bike yesterday and I don’t think I will today, either….just don’t want to be cold right now and it looks like the rest of the week is going to keep me off with the snow….not going to do a whole lot today…should clean some but I feel the need to ease into the day and have more coffee…. so I will…more later….
Angela Merkel schools the idiot trump…
Well…in a phone call either yesterday or today, the president of Germany, Angela Merkel, schooled the idiot trump on the Geneva conventions against torture…she actually had to explain to him what the hell they were…he is so damn ignorant and stupid that he didn’t know that they are binding on the US and can lead to the people ordering it being jailed….and, there was a not so veiled threat that Germany would lead the way in prosecuting torturers if it happens again….so, again the idiot shows just how stupid he is and we all can see how he is damaging this country and our standing in the world…and all of this in just one week….where are you, repubs? When does the impeachment start?
This is what I hoped would happen…
Well….after the vote loser trump stole the election, and the rest of the world got a look at his idiocy and mental illness, I had hoped that other heads of state would just never meet with him because nothing would be accomplished other than he would embarrass the entire country. After the president of Mexico realized that and cancelled his meeting with him, we now have a petition in the UK that has been signed by 700,000 people in just 12 hours to cancel any trump trip that might be in the future. With that many signatures, there is a requirement that the petition and the trip be debated in Parliament before trump will be allowed in the country….this has never happened to any sitting president in the history of the country and makes the US a laughingstock to the rest of the world….that is what you have done to this country repubs and you damn well own it….

Well…where the hell are you repubs? A lawless fake president is violating the constitution, breaking laws, and defying multiple court orders and not a peep out of you assholes….if Obama would have done even one of these things regarding immigration you would have had articles of impeachment delivered the same day but when trump does it, nothing but silence from you hypocrites…so we all now know that your supposed reverence for the constitution and the rule of law was just more and more damn lies….is there not one of you on the right that will do what’s right for the country just once instead of your party or yourself? It’s up to you to do your job and hold the idiot trump accountable…but, none of you will…and the country sinks….

Well…after having my son here yesterday and going through all the stats for this place, I just wanted to say thanks to all of the people that come here to read my stuff every day. Over the past month, I have had over 1500 discrete IP addresses access this site and I was a little surprised with the self-imposed two month news blackout and the resulting lack of topical posts. You’ll be seeing some changes to the site over the next month or so with my son working on putting a few ads on to try to pay some of my bills and make me an actual paid writer for the first time in my life…I hope they are not too annoying and you guys keep coming back…and, if I’m getting paid, I will have to do a better job here posting lucid comments that mean something….thanks again…
January 29th
Well…woke up again feeling a little off today and I think it’s from not eating enough yesterday…only had the steak for lunch…well, a half steak and then just didn’t feel like eating more…so I’ll have to do better today….just have no energy this morning and I think I’ll just take it easy today and watch the race and some soccer with Man U playing at 11….couldn’t get the old roku working on the new tv so I just put the antenna on it….probably won’t watch it too much but I may when I work out….okay…almost forgot to go out to get a paper…the days just run together and I forgot it’s Sunday….not too much to do today other than I have to run out to mail some bills later but that is about it…more later….
A nice visit….
Well….just had a nice visit from one of my sons and I am still smiling from it…lots of laughs and talk and he brought me an extra 37 inch tv for my bedroom…and it’s a 1080P flatscreen which is nicer than the 42 I have in the living room….so now I have a spare if mine quits. He is also going to get me a new laptop from the school where he works since they have almost new ones that were purchased by some kind of a grant so they can’t be resold…just discarded and they normally just end up being recycled….so that will be cool since I have worn the letters off the keys of this one….oh, he has also started to put ads on my site so I can make a little money for doing this every day…had 1500 individual visits to the site this month…..much more than I expected…pretty cool….
The country weeps….
Well…after the idiot trump barred people from 7 muslim countries from entering the US by another of his bile spewing hissyfits, the reality of more than 200 years of welcoming immigrants to this country is over…and this damage was done by one of the most stupid people ever to walk this country….and not one damn repub has said a word against it…even though the executive order is clearly unconstitutional under both the first and 14th amendments….but, the one thing this idiot has shown is his complete disdain for the constitution….this is all on you repubs…you elected and are enabling this idiot to break the law….and your true colors are being revealed…that you have no moral code or moral fiber in any of you….this country now weeps for the ruin you have heaped on it in the past 30 years….I hope you all burn in hell…
January 28th
Well….woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather…should have taken some allergy stuff last night since my head is throbbing this morning…..didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I did lose at pool…have been cleaning this place up this morning since one of my sons is going to stop by this morning…will be good to see him….I am going to cook the t-bone steak today that Tom gave me yesterday…haven’t seen that much beef in a long time…but I need to figure out what else to have with it….maybe a baked potato with real butter…..okay…need coffee and soccer so that’s what I’m going to do…more later….
Oscar nominees….
Well…need to write about something different after all of the pollution from trump so I think I’ll talk about movies for a change. It was always a goal of mine in the past to try to see all of the best picture nominees before the Oscars…that used to be much more difficult before the advent of streaming videos, when I used to have to actually go out to theaters to see them…and that was sometimes a crapshoot to have them all still playing after the nominations were announced. And it cost money…but, back then, I had it so no big deal…this year, I have 6 of the 7 movies that were nominated on my son’s server and I have already seen 3 of them. Okay, one of the ones I saw, Kubo and the two strings, was not a best picture nominee but is up for some technical ones but I wanted to see it anyway. That’s one of them that I watched last night…an animated film but definitely not for kids…a pretty seamless combination of stop action, CGI, and live action and it told a pretty good story, too…probably not to everyone’s taste but I like to be challenged by film sometimes. The second one I saw last night was LaLaLand….a modern take on the old style musical/romance that I thought was done very well…it looks gorgeous but Ryan Gosling can only sing about as well as I can and that is not saying much….the lead in number on a stalled freeway is pretty cool to look at and the whole movie didn’t disappoint me…got through the whole thing and that is saying something these days.
