Well…given all the stupidity that is coming out of the repubs these days, I was just flabbergasted when I read of this little nugget from ole Jeb! that he said at a town hall meeting the other day…you know the schtick…and the lies that Medicare is an “entitlement” that needs to be “reformed”…and by reformed the repubs mean eliminated unless their billionaires can make profit from it….well…and here’s the stupid part…he’s talking to retirees and people that are near to retiring…and telling them that one of the most popular and efficient programs that the government does is going to be eliminated and the retirees will be thrown back into the private insurance market. One of the people that was there just blew when he used “entitlement” as the slur that the repubs think it is…the woman retorted “Medicare is not an entitlement…I paid for it and earned it…” So, I think you can say that ole Jeb! is done…this one is going to be looped throughout the general election campaign if he is the nominee…and I don’t think that is going to happen…good riddance…geez…
July 26th
Well…as you can see, I’m back up finally after being down since last thurs…the server’s CPU burned up and replacing all that stuff takes time…it was an okay day yesterday and I have to say I lost at pool…I do miss doing these…I was getting antsy when I knew I had things to say and nowhere to say them….but I did lose one about JEB! that I am going to have to try to recreate…I thin it was about Medicare…maybe I’ll do that one after I finish this one…it has been an okay weekend so far but a little too warm for me…I am still having problems with my legs on the bike but I think it’s from not eating enough so I have been trying to fix that all day…with no luck…maybe I’ll get on with the JEB! one…more later…
July 24th
Well…as you can see, my site has been down for the past day and it has been really, really hard waiting for them to fix the server where it resides…but I’m back now ans I hope that some of you will make the effort to come back and read some of this stuff…it was an okay day yesterday but the server was down then, too…okay, enough of that….I did get a few things done and even got out to lie in the sun for a while and I am even making some progress on erasing the biker’s tan…still not there yet but I scorched myself today so maybe tomorrow it will be better…man, I missed this….it would have been my older brother Dave’s birthday today and I do think of him sometimes….it is funny that in a family of 9 kids 4 of us were born in July…and two of us on the same day but 13 years apart…weird….hmmm…can’t do the “not much to do today” thing today since the day is almost over and it is quickly racing up on cocktail time…okay…going to end here but over the next few days, I am going to have to catch up since I am two days behind now..and there have been things happen that I really want to comment on…maybe now….

Well….as you can see, the site has been down today and I’m waiting to hear from my son for the reason….but, it’s up now so I guess I’ll get to work…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t do much…slept okay last night and that makes it 4 in a row and I’m not sure what I’m doing…I guess that’s the funny thing, not doing anything different and getting different results…hmmmm….I did make some cash this week so I have been able to buy groceries again and that is pretty cool…I did watch “Sharknado 3” last night and it was one of those good “bad” movies but there was way too much product placement in it….still fun with a couple of cocktails…broke my rule last night since you just can’t watch any of the Sharknados without a few of those….I would say not too much to do today but the day is almost over…I guess that was still true…didn’t do much today and tonight looks the same….I am still going to try to get to my JEB! one but there is a soccer match on that I want to see first….more later….
Short thoughts on the repubs…
Well….have had a bunch of stuff swirling around in my head about the repub candidates and how stupid they appear when they are on tv with seemingly no ability to do any response or think anything but the talking points they have been handed by their billionaires the day before. Starting with ole Scott Walker…his latest jaw dropper happened a couple of days ago where he said he would be ready to attack Iran on his inauguration day…that right there is enough to disqualify that idiot as is his assertion that he is not sure if gays are born gay…even though all of the studies have shown they are…that kind of ignorance is strike two…okay, let’s do strike three on this idiot…that his favorite foreign policy decision was ole Ronnie firing the air traffic controllers…what the hell that has to do with foreign policy, I don’t know….I think I’ll turn this into a series and take them one by one…JEB! is next tomorrow….
July 22nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool….slept okay for the third night in a row and that is some kind of new record….there were dreams again about some fair or fireworks or something, and there were lots of Miatas but they were rear engined so that was weird…..and there was no parking so everyone was jockeying for position….I did get a bunch of cleaning and other stuff done around here yesterday so I feel good about that…but, today is going to be just working out and the bike ride to take it a little easier…have been really busy since Sunday and I’m not sure I like it too much….not much to do today…I may have to run an errand this aft but other than that, it’s going to be an easy one while I wait for “Sharknado 3” that is on tonight…too much stuff on tonight…the truck race from Eldora on dirt, the USA plays in the gold Cup semi and then the movie…wish I had a DVR….more later…
A bad thing….
Well…learned last night that a friend of G’s and mine was in an accident that put him in the hospital with only a 50/50 chance of surviving. The bad part is that it was no fault of his own…stopped to make a left turn on his motorcycle, a pickup truck just ran over him from behind…and now he has multiple injuries and will never be the same….how can the idiot that hit him be so damn stupid? Just like the accident that destroyed my MX-6…some idiot not paying attention just destroyed the lives of a young family…and I am having hard time getting my head around it…..
July 21st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…slept okay, too, and feel good this morning…have already been out to get some corn for the grill for lunch and I had the top down doing it…really nice morning….got a bunch of stuff done yesterday and today looks the same…may even make some more cash if I can get things done…I do have to return the used mp-3 player today and clean up around here…not sure how I can be so busy being unemployed but I guess things just expand to fill the time….didn’t have any dreams last night but that was okay, too, two out of three days is a good average for me…no, even better than average so I’m not going to complain…not much to do today…that’s not right, I have lots to do if I am going to be ready to make a beach run tomorrow morning…have to check the water temps in lake Michigan to make sure I can go swimming….more later…
Short trail weirdness…
Well…not sure if you’ve seen this before, but today, I saw a guy running on the trail with no shirt but a fricking stocking hat on…yep, shorts, no shirt and a stocking hat…is this a fashion statement of some sort that I don’t know about? Hope not…just too darn weird for me to process…..
JEB! is an idiot….
Well…with the tsunami of stupidity that is coming out of the right these days…the candidates over there are doing their best to out stupid each other…not sure if it’s on purpose or not but this week ole JEB! even managed to mangle the days talking points and it is hilarious. At a speech the other day, JEB! was going on about the proposed new overtime rules that would prevent companies from classifying regular workers as management to avoid having to pay them overtime…and JEB! said that it would be bad for workers since employers would just cut their hours and then they would make less money…hmmm…cut hours that they are not getting paid for? Sounds like a good thing for workers to me since they are not getting paid for them anyway….but not to JEB! he still thinks that employers should be allowed to bully workers and steal from them…that’s the way of American business…at least the way the repubs see business being done…don’t pay your workers what they have worked for…poor business owners…I’m crying crocodile tears for them…geez….
One of the funny things I saw when reading of this was the pundits saying that he must really be trying to appear this stupid…I don’t think he’s trying at all…I think it comes naturally to him…
