Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I still have that bug that is taking some energy away and the coughing seems to be getting a little worse…but, still no knock down so I am still a little confused….but, I’ll take it…oh, I said that yesterday, didn’t I? Slept okay last night but no dreams again but I guess that’s okay, too….I did take the day off the bike yesterday with the wind blowing so hard my grill tried to take a walk down the sidewalk but the chain stopped it….I am going to get the bathroom cleaned today after the bike ride but I have to wait a few hours for the temp to come up…so, it’s soccer now and couch for a while until I decide to get moving….I am going to do a sports one later today about the final four and the Wings….and anything else I can think of…more later…..
More stuff…
Well….it’s been and okay past couple of days but I am falling behind here…already, so I thought I’d just noodle around a bit and see what happens…I got a weird text this morning that said there was “suspicious activity” in my bank account and it gave a number to call to fix it…well…I’m not that dumb so I took a quick trip over to the bank when it opened to check it out and the guy there thanked me profusely for not calling the number back…it was just a phishing trip that might have gotten into their networks and screwed things up…so, that started the day off pretty good…didn’t go out on the bike with the wind gusting to 40 or so and that is probably a good idea with still having the bug I have….I am still waiting for it to really lay me out but that hasn’t happened yet so I’m not sure what is going on…I am not going to bitch if it stays at this level but I still want it over since the coughing is a real pain….and I am still really tired…so, on that note, I am going to go back to the couch and wait for the State game to start….
April 4th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and we tied at pool which is really unusual…I don’t think it has happened more than 3 times since we’ve been shooting….slept okay…kinda…but I feel a little worn out with the bug that came on yesterday so I need to take it a little easy today but I am going to get out on the bike….not until after Man U plays at 10 since it is only in the 20’s and I want to go out in shorts….I did get the top down yesterday and that was fun and I made a little cash so that helped with the grocery run this morning….not much to do today…it’s going to be a sports day with Man U and State playing today…will probably watch both final four games today since they should be good ones….more later….
April 3rd
Well…running a little late today and it is because I have another bug that is killing me…started last night with not being able to breathe well and that has morphed into coughing like crazy again this morning with a fever….so, it looks like I need to take it easy today so I can get out to shoot pool later…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool and I did get to drive the car in the rain to get the rest of the salt from underneath it….but, I wanted to put the top down in the 60 degree weather….maybe today, even though it’s only going to be in the 50’s….slept like crap…again….and tonight doesn’t look to be any better…not sure why this is happening but what the heck can I do about it? Not much to do today….I am going to try to get the bike ride in this morning to try to burn out this virus but then it’s into veg mode for the rest of the day…..more later…

Well….if you remember this idiot who was the one behind the undermining of the administration’s Iran policy by getting 46 more of his other idiot repub senators to sign the ridiculous letter the leader of Iran…you do? Good…well, he’s back again with more idiocy that can only come from someone on the right…the other day ole Tom was commenting on the “license to discriminate” law that was passed in Indiana and said that he couldn’t understand what all the uproar was about…after all, they hang gays in Iran so the gays here have it pretty good even when they are being treated as second class citizens. Yep, he actually said that…I may have paraphrased a little but the gist of his comment was captured…that gays should just shut up here in the US since they are treated worse in another country…so by extension of his logic, women should just shut up since they are treated worse in other countries…and minorities should shut up since they are treated worse in other countries. Maybe ignorant senators should just shut up…don’t you think? In case you haven’t looked lately, Tom, the US has a little thing called the 14th amendment that gaurantees equal treatment under the law…not equal treatment for the people YOU think should have equal rights…what an idiot…the standard bearer of the modern repub party….geez…
April 2nd
Well….it was an okay day yesterday with getting a few things done but it was another night of terrible sleep so I guess that offsets it…I did get the spring cleaning done to the car and it was depressing to see the effects of another winter on it….but, I got sunburned in just the half hour it took to clean the outside…just didn’t realize that I would burn in that short of a time…need to use the sunscreen when I get on the bike, too, since my face has gotten pretty red in the past couple of days….have been getting cramps in my calves over the past two days and I think it’s from only eating once a day to try to bring my weight down from the winter….need to remember to take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike today to see if that helps….and I need to remember the daily aspirin to keep the heart from exploding when I sprint…not much to today…I do need to watch the Wings play tonight and I am going to cook another ham today so I’ll have protein for the next week…haven’t made any cash for the past two weeks so I do need to eat cheap…but, I’m almost out of coffee so that is going to be bad…..more later….
Mike Pence is still lying…
Well…after ole Mike’s show yesterday at his news conference about his state’s ‘license to discriminate” law…where said repeatedly that the law needed to be ‘fixed” to go forward and garuntee that there would be no discrimination against LGBT people, this idiot goes on fox news and basically says “nevermind” that the law does not need to be fixed and he stands behind the law…repeating the repub talking point that it is not the law but the perception of the law that is the problem…and all he needs is a little propaganda from fox to make everything better…yep, Mike that’s it…it just the perception that the bigots in the state who will use this law to discriminate that is the problem and that Hoosiers will not discrimninate..so, when were you lying, Mike? At the news conference or on Fox? Just ask the O’Connor family who own Memories Pizza in Walkerton…who stated today that they will not serve gay people and said “it’s not discrimination, it’s just our belief and anyone has the right to believe in anything”…yep no bigots in the Hoosier state….Mike, you are such an idiot and the people that voted for you deserve to lose everything….geez…
April 1st
Well…here comes another month and the most depressing day of it…still no work and another month of rent going out is just crushing….so, today will be a bunch of mindless work so I don’t think about it….slept okay and had dreams about the apocalypse…or about huge asteroids hitting the Earth…and the weird thing was that I was looking forward to it….and for some reason, I was in Tokyo at the time…hmmmm….I do feel a little crappy today but I was good last night so I’m not sure what is going on….I did toss and turn all night with my sleep really broken so maybe that’s it…woke up over 20 times so is guess I didn’t sleep that well….not much to do today….I am going to do the spring cleaning on the car since it still has sand and salt from the winter in the drivers footwell and the glass is pretty bad….then, I hope to get out on the bike in a t-shirt this aft….boring, I know…more later…
Protected classes?
Well…had to do one more to make the goal for the month and I’ve had this one rattling around in my head ever since the idiots in Indiana passed their “license to discriminate law” last week. As you know…the repubs are all about the idea that there should be no protected classes in our society since discrimination is a thing of the past; attacking affirmative action, voting rights, women’s rights as no longer being necessary in our modern society. But then, in a fit of hypocrisy that is a hallmark of the modern repub…they create their pet protected class of religious believers…but the thing they don’t get is that religious folks have no right to not have their fee fees hurt by people that don’t believe in their kind of religion….they can believe whatever they want but they have no right to project their religious beliefs on the rest of us and make us adhere to them in the secular society at large…once they choose to be part of that economy, they have no right to discriminate against any customer and any service or product they offer to one, they have to offer to all…one of the straw men they put up to try to defend the law is that no one would expect a kosher deli to serve ham sandwiches…no you wouldn’t…but no one gets ham sandwiches..,.not just gays that are customers….I really think that today’s repubs are just a stupid, stupid bunch….they need to go away an leave the sane of us alone….geez…

Well…just watched the Mike Pence news conference and the only thoughts that came into my head is either lying or stupid…or maybe both, trying to make people believe that he never thought the law would result in discrimination while it’s supporters, who stood behind him when he signed it crowed that discrimination was the purpose of the law. But the striking thing to me is how well he used the repub playbook of victimhood….that Indiana is the target of a “smear” campaign by outside media and the problem is just of “perception” of the law. If you follow the news at all, this is the go to repub tactic whenever they are challenged on this nonsense….it’s not that the law will permit discrimination (it does) but the perception that people have that it will allow discrimination…or that people found out that this law will permit discrimination and they surely wanted to hide it from the general public…just like they lied about right to work here in Michigan and Wisconsin. The “outside media” claim was exploded by the biggest paper in the State…the “Indianapolis Star” having a front page editorial today that called on the Governor to get rid of this hate legislation and ensure equal rights for all people in Indiana…but ole Mike said that rights for everyone is different than this law so they have to be dealt with later….he even said last week that LGBT rights were not on his agenda. So, bottom line…the repubs got caught trying to use the law to discriminate against people they hate…that’s the only takeaway…that they got caught…not that it is wrong to discriminate…what a bunch of asses…geez…
