Well…I think I’m up but I’m not sure….feel kind of off this morning and I hope that goes away soon…slept okay last night but I think I didn’t eat enough yesterday so that is going to have to be fixed today or I’ll be out of energy by noon…I did get the bathroom cleaned, finally, and even worked on the kitchen some so not doing anything today won’t make me too guilty….I did get a nice bike ride in yesterday and went pretty hard and I’ll try to do that again today…and the wind was almost calm so that made it even better…and today is calm out there so I’ll go as soon as it warms up enough…it is still only 42 out there and I need at least 5 more degrees….not much to do today… pool, but that’s about it….but, I need more coffee and some news first….more later….

May 6th
Well…I think I’m on time this morning but I can’t be sure…slept okay last night but do feel a little slow today and I am thinking of taking a day off the bike…just thinking about it…will probably get out when it gets a little warmer but there are showers coming in and I don’t think it’s warm enough to get wet….I think my heel is on the way to being healed with the new cream and pumice that I have been using…it doesn’t hurt at all this morning and that is the first time for that in almost 4 months…..it is weird to walk almost normally and I keep waiting for it to hurt….and, my back doesn’t hurt, either so I am a little confused….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and I should do my bathroom today…that could happen but I’m not sure if it will….just can’t get moving so we’ll see when the coffee starts to work….more later….
A funny morning…
Well….had a nice ride this morning that ended up with seeing something I’ve never seen before in this part of the state. When I got to my last water stop at the park and was just sitting there looking at the baseball fields that are in the upper part of the park, I saw some people playing what I assumed was baseball since I wasn’t paying too much attention…but then I saw the pitcher use a really strange windup and I realized that they were playing cricket…so I decided to go take a look and it was a group of men from India who had set up their cricket equipment and were playing a game….talked to one of them and mentioned that I had never seen cricket played around here and he just laughed…you would never have seen that when I was young….pretty cool….
Bastard Republicans…
Well…we all know how terrible the repubs are…but, just lately they have become even worse here in Michigan. With the idiot trump and his cronies in government changing the rules on Medicaid so states can now force work requirements on the poor who are covered by this program (let’s not forget that over 80% of people who are on Medicaid already work)….but that wasn’t enough for them…to make the poor jump through more hoops is the thing that the repubs live for so they are stampeding to screw over the poor in states that the repubs control. Even that is not enough for them here in Michigan…here, the repubs are rigging the system so that the poor whites in areas that voted repub are exempt from the work requirements…but the “urban” poor will have to report into some office every two weeks to prove they are working or the government will assign them unpaid work before they can retain the healthcare that is keeping them alive in many cases. Sounds pretty racist doesn’t it? In cities where the poor live, the makeup is primarily minorities…and guess who they vote for? I have had enough of the repubs punishing the poor just for being poor and voting dem…we need to throw these assholes out in the fall…it’s hard enough being poor without the repubs making it worse…geez….
May 5th
Well…running a little early today with getting up at 5:30 and I am getting tired of getting up so early…feel okay this morning and I am not too sore so that means a hard ride on the bike today…but, I am going to take some ibuprofen before I get out…my right thigh has been hurting the past few days and I want to get ahead of that one…went out early on the bike yesterday to beat the wind and just did it…it started to blow hard just after I got back here…the gusts got up to 58 mph yesterday and that took a branch down at T’s and punched a hole in her garage roof…that kind of sucks….I did get some cleaning done yesterday and will continue that today….my microwave is clean and that took some work and I did get to the counters and stove, too….not much to do today….I am going to get out on the bike as soon as the temp comes up and then the Kentucky Derby is on later along with a race so I won’t be too bored….more later….
May 4th
Well….running a little late today with the realization that today is the anniversary of the Kent State shootings and needing to reflect on that a bit….it was a little weird that I slept through the night without waking up last night and I can’t remember that happening in a long, long time….but, I still feel a little slow this morning since I wasn’t good last night…I did have a good day yesterday and had the hardest bike ride of the year so far….sweated through everything and my hat was dripping and that made me feel good…but, I paid for that later in the day…was just dead in the aft and I hope that goes away soon….it was pretty cool what the rain and warmer weather did to the trees and flowers..they just exploded yesterday and it is nice to see some colors after the drabness of this spring….and it is already over 60 so I can get out as soon as the coffee starts to work…not sure if I’m going to do much today but I should…there is some cleaning to do and I might do it…or, I might not…who knows?

Well…just a short one on one of the darkest days in this nation’s history…48 years ago today, 4 students were killed at Kent State University while exercising their first amendment rights to protest the actions of their government…I was 16 at the time and was staring down the barrel of the draft with the real possibility of getting sent to Vietnam….that’s all I have to say right now….just listened to “Ohio” by Neil Young and it still sends chills down my spine…..

Well…I just loved this little bit of news that came out today that, in response to the idiot trumps tariffs on China, that China has just stopped buying American soybeans…now, I feel for the farmers that are going to be hurt by this, but they voted for the idiot and foisted him on the whole country so I don’t feel too much for them…in just the past week, China has cancelled 70,000 tons of soybean orders that are worth over 30 million dollars…and that is going to put some of them out of business and cause job losses across the red states who elected this jackass….now, I hope these morons who voted for this know nothing, ignorant, moron will remember what he has done to them come November…but, they probably won’t…just like the evangelicals that voted overwhelmingly for the serial sexual assaulter and continue to support him even after revelation after revelation of just how terrible a person trump is, these farmers are just too damn dumb to vote in their own self interest…hey, farmers…turn off fox news for a while and let your intelligence come back…maybe then you’ll vote for competency and knowledge in government…yeah, probably not….but, her e-mails….geez…

Well…not sure if you’ve read about this or not, but the higher ups in both the FBI and the Justice Department think that the reason for the repubs in the House asking for documents from the Mueller investigation is to give them to the WH to help the idiot trump defend himself in his conspiracy with the Russians to steal the election….now let that sink in a minute…and now let’s replace idiot boy with any common thug criminal (which he is) and read that again…how would you feel if the House repubs were using their investigative power to get information from an ongoing investigation of crime by the mob, and then gave it to the mob boss being investigated? That’s exactly what is happening here and only a traitor to this country would undercut the Justice department from doing their job….especially since it involves a foreign power who has attacked our country and is continuing those attacks while every damn repub in power looks the other way or actively helps them by supporting the criminal in the WH. As I said yesterday, there is a reason for all of those House repubs trying to protect trump, they are in it up to their necks in Russian collusion just as he is…and some of them will be going to jail…just as he is…impeach…

Well…running a little late today with doing the grocery run and not getting up til late….and I got wet with it raining now and for the next few hours so it will be a late start on the bike today…had a pretty nice day yesterday with getting out to have a couple with T and had quite a few laughs…it’s always fun to see her…and I had the top down over and back with SD on the player…felt happy for the first time in a while….but, I didn’t get much else done so I’ll have to do some work today….I do need to clean and get some computer work done but that will wait until later after I have coffee and read some news….I’m not sure where Meijers gets the split chicken breasts they sell…they are mutants wherever they get them…I got three and they were almost 5 pounds…can get three meals out of each….weird…more later….
