Well…it’s another primary day in the vote for the dem candidate and with the polls showing that Joe Biden is going to be the big winner today, the predictable morons on our side are all over the internet saying that they can’t vote for Joe because he is just another republican or that the nomination was stolen from Bernie or there is no difference between the idiot trump and Joe…hey morons, if you are so stupid that you think a non vote for Joe is not a vote for the idiot boy you are dumber than a box of rocks. Yeah, Joe may be more conservative than you’d like and he may have taken some centrist stands over the years but comparing him to trump? That is just whining that your guy is going to lose…do you think there is a chance that any of your progressive agenda is going to be enacted if you sit this out and trump wins? With Joe, and the rest of the congress in our control, you bernie supporters still have a chance to shape the agenda and get some of what you want if Joe is president…and let’s remember, even if Bernie was elected, the congress is more conservative and cautious than he and you guys are and you are not going to get everything he wants either….you know, I’ve had enough of this damn whining from people on our side…Joe wasn’t my first choice but he is a decent human being that won’t keep children in cages, will fight for a woman’s right to control her own body, and will protect the working people in this country along with agreeing to much of our agenda…if that is not enough for you than go back to your whining and wait for another 4 years of trump and you’ll never get a bit of your agenda…go ahead, cut off that nose….

It did get ugly…
Well…as I wrote about this morning, it did get ugly today with the stock market down almost 2500 points about an hour ago but it has rebounded to being down “only” 1700 points with a half hour to go until close…and with the idiot in chief’s happy talk response to the coronavirus crumbling as his brain (what little of it there is) does the same…with reports that idiot boy is ranting around the WH that he doesn’t have anyone left to protect him from the media and that someone should be doing something to make him look better….but that ranting has taken a really dark turn with trump convinced that members of the media are intentionally going to infect themselves so they can give the virus to trump on AF 1…yep, he actually believes that…and he has tasked the Secret Service to set up barricades around the WH to check everyone coming in and out to make sure they are not coughing….even though the NIH has said that this is going to be one of the worst allergy seasons in years…and guess what allergies do…they make you cough just like I am now…hey repubs, is it 25th amendment time yet? Folks, trump’s delusions are going to get worse and worse as he finally realizes that he is going to be out of office in the fall and then will have no protection against criminal charges from the crimes he has committed while in office….eat another burger, donnie…that will help keep the virus away…
It’s going to get ugly today…
Well…as the moron in the WH fiddles, there is a convergence of problems that are going to slap idiot boy upside the head this morning…if the coronavirus response bungling wasn’t enough, we now have oil prices that are in free fall along with a major meltdown in the stock market that is going to hit when the markets open this morning. After the rout in oil prices started Friday with a 10% drop across the board, Saudi Arabia has decided to destroy Russia since they wouldn’t go along with supply cuts necessary to support the price with demand crashing…so with the Saudis opening the taps in the face of falling demand, oil is set to drop by 20-25% today which will surely destroy many shale producers here in the US since they were barely staying afloat with their huge debt loads…can anyone say recession? In the stock futures markets, the fall was so severe that the automatic “circuit breakers” cut in when the losses got to 5% and that much of a drop in the Dow will translate to a 1500 point loss that will probably happen in the first few minutes of trading….I wonder what moron donnie is going to say now? The only thing he could point to was the stock market doing well and the myth that he had anything to do with it is going to be exploded this morning…I wonder who he is going to blame for this one? It is going to be an ugly day economically for anyone who has a 401K…and you can blame it on the incompetents in the WH who have systematically destroyed the US influence in the world and have left chaos in their wake….cripes…
Trump’s supporters don’t believe there is a virus…
Well…you know, I have mixed feelings about the news stories that almost all trump supporters don’t believe that the coronavirus is real and are not going to take any precautions at all since they have been told by their savior and idiot trump that, if there is a virus, the virus is no worse than the flu and there have only been a few cases anyway…and the numbers are being inflated by the dems to hurt trump’s election chances in the fall. So, in my sardonic brain, that means that the outbreak is going to be worse for these idiots when it comes…I wonder what the excuse from trump will be when he has to cancel one of his hate rallies to prevent the spread of the virus? And I wonder what lie they will tell his stupid supporters to explain it? Look, I don’t normally wish anyone ill but cripes, maybe a little thinning of the stupid herd would be a good thing…no, that’s just wrong…that just doesn’t fit into my belief system to wish anyone death by stupidity….or to their families who would just be collateral damage from stupidity…maybe, finally, some people on the right in this country will finally see that government is not “the problem” and has a role to play to keep us all safe from pandemics….but it has to be be competent government…not the one we have now…
538 says it’s going to be Joe…
Well…isn’t it a breath of fresh air to not talk about the idiot trump for a change? After the wins on super Tuesday and with the pile of endorsements he has gotten just before an since then, the polling site 538 is giving Joe Biden a 94% chance of winning the dem nomination for president when you include the latest polling out of the remaining states. While Joe was not my first choice, I can get on board with this fundamentally decent man who we can count on to do the right thing where the country is concerned…and to follow the law…and to not lie all the damn time…and to be competent in appointing judges and his cabinet…not like the idiot who squats in the WH. One thing that does need to happen, though, is that some of the bigwigs in the dem party need to take him aside and destroy the delusion he has that there are people on the right he can work with…there are none and he needs to be ready to govern that way…he needs to make sure that he can get things done without them and that means we need to take the senate back, too, along with keeping the House…one other thing he needs to do is to draft Elizabeth Warren and the other wonderful candidates we had to craft the platform to be presented at the convention this summer…that will at least be a step to mending the fractures that still exist in our party…I will say thank you to Bernie for his comments the other day that he will support whom ever the candidate is…now he needs to get that word out to the berniebros who are grousing and planning to sit out the election that they need to put the country first, that winning this election is more important than their hurt feelings…there is plenty of time to bring this all together and crush idiot boy in the fall…and that has to be our message from here on out…
Elizabeth Warren drops out…
Well….the news that came out this morning that Liz is dropping out of the race for the dem nomination sure saddens me…I have been a huge fan of hers since she first came on the scene and started to get national attention…her intelligence, drive, and heart was a breath of fresh air from the same old politics as usual and just listening to her you could feel her passion for making this country a better place for everyone….and she was the anti trump in every way…fair, curious, accomplished, and with great ideas to move this country forward…and tough as nails when need be…I am going to miss her holding the rest of the candidates accountable and I really hope that there is a place for her as we go forward…she has the ideas we need to start erasing the stain of trump and his cronies and the stench they are going to leave on this country…look, I would have voted for her in a minute in the general election…but, since she didn’t make it, I will vote for whomever the dem nominee is…and I won’t “hold my nose” like some of the whiners whose candidate also didn’t make it…and, I will fully support our nominee since the alternative is just too awful to conceive…thanks Liz….
So, Roberts is just a repub hack…who knew?
Well….I guess John Roberts has a problem with getting the fee fees of the SC hurt after Chuck Schumer quoted Kavanaugh’s rant during his confirmation hearing saying that there would be payback if they didn’t vote for him…and all Schumer was trying to say is if this court ignores precedent and makes up law to ban abortion and overturn Roe, there will be electoral consequences..which is the truth. So, the hack can take all of the idiot trump’s threats to everyone and his shredding of the constitution, but if Chuck tells the truth, that is just too much and Roberts has to speak up…something that is never done by the sitting chief justice and reveals that Roberts is just a repub hack who is not the “caller of balls and strikes” as he said in his confirmation hearing but just another liar on the right who is using his court as a way to impose the ultra right wing nonsense that can’t get passed by the house and senate on the country who doesn’t want it. Especially in this case, more than 70% of the country wants Roe maintained and the access to safe abortion protected…but that doesn’t matter to this hack…he is going to be remembered as the justice who ruined the court’s reputation as being and honest arbiter of the law and turned it into just another corrupt part of the right wing machine…nice job Johnny boy….
Super Tuesday part two…
Well…the voting is over and it appears that Joe Biden is the big winner in the primaries from yesterday….just a couple of weeks ago, the pundits were all saying his candidacy was dead and Bernie was going to take the nom easily…but, guess what? The voters had other ideas and those who wanted someone who could beat trump rose up and decided that Joe was the one…and it looks like his votes were a cross section of America…bolstered by AA voters, Latinos, and even some young people who are just so damn tired of the idiot trump that they voted for pragmatism instead of progressivism. I feel a little bad that Liz didn’t do better but what a VP candidate she would make…with Joe setting the agenda and then Liz doing what she does…making a plan for that. I’m not sure if we can count on Bernie’s supporters for the general with his comments last night that were basically a rant against people in the dem party who didn’t choose him…not a good look with all of the anger..but that is Bernie and if Joe wins, we need outreach to his supporters to get some of them on board….the hard core Bernie supporters are gone…they are almost as much of cultists as trump supporters are…okay, no…that’s not right..they are tired of the status quo and they feel Bernie can deliver change that no one else can….but, if they don’t come along, there may be no change but for the worse if trump steals another election. That has got to be the message to them…that they are welcome and Bernie’s ideas are welcome…we are the big tent party after all and should welcome anyone who can help…this is going to get even more interesting in the next month or so…next we need Bloomberg gone but not his money…if it used to defeat the idiot trump….
Super Tuesday…
Well…the process for picking a dem candidate is going to get a big jolt today with the super Tuesday primaries across the country that will award over a thousand delegates toward the 1600 or so that are needed for the nom….and we had three candidates drop out over the past couple of days after the the results of the SC primary saw Joe Biden win by a large margin….look, you know my choice is Liz just because she has the policy chops and the steel to get things done for our progressive agenda…okay, what is called progressive these days was mainstream stuff just a generation ago…I mean, not locking kids up in cages? Up until the idiot trump that was something everyone was in agreement with…and respecting the constitution? The only party that still does that is ours and who thought the flag wavers on the other side would abandon that? Okay, I did…they are all craven liars who do nothing but hate…one thing I have to stress and I can’t stress it enough to the Bernie bros and the Warrenites is that if your candidate doesn’t win the nom, remember what’s at stake and stop the damn whining about sitting this one out if your person doesn’t win…any one of our candidates is light years better than idiot boy…and you know that the winner is going to welcome ideas and policy from those who didn’t win…we are all in this together and the overaching goal has to be to beat trump…cripes, learn how to compromise people…the country is at stake and you’re going to throw a hissy fit? That’s the best way to ensure that none of our ideas to make this country better get enacted…so, suck it up and pull together to remove the stain of trump and his cronies….
“Vulture” capitalism has to go…
Well….do you miss Sears, K-mart, Toys r Us, and any of the other retail operations that were doing perfectly fine until what I call “vulture” capitalists swoop in and buy companies across this country with no intent of keeping them going concerns but to strip them, sell off the parts, and walk away with millions for just a few people? This usually leaves the employees holding the bag when their healthcare and pensions disappear and they are left with maybe 10 cents on the dollar if even that much…and now, the vultures are circling around our food supply with many of these “capitalist” VC firms buying up small and large farms to hold for a while until they can figure out how to strip mine these businesses, too….and now especially with the explosion of farm bankruptcies caused by idiot boy’s tariffs, the vultures are being handed another part of this country with no concern for the damage that they have done everywhere else they have been…and this damage is not only limited to the farms they are buying, but when they consolidate small farms into large ones, they sure aren’t going to buy supplies from the local stores that supported the family farms but they will look for national contracts from other supply behemoths that they can squeeze every penny out of from the economy of scale….so a system that was working perfectly fine for small farmers until trump and these vultures came along is going to be destroyed just so the 1% can steal even more money from the rest of us….this is one of the reasons why inequality has ballooned in this country and has to be ended by any means necessary since VC really serves no role other than to transfer wealth to the 1%….okay, candidates, what’s the plan to fix this?
