Another one for the B-3 count….

Well…keeping with my obsession with the Hammond B-3 organ…am watching a concert on AXS tv right now with the jam band from Colorado, the String Cheese Incident…it it raining so hard that they have the instruments covered but there is no mistaking a B-3 when you hear it…so, let’s add another one to the B-3 count…

Okay, they just uncovered the organ and it IS a B-3….

There are no trees….

Well…with all of the delusional stuff on the internet, it is not often that something fresh comes up that make you shake your head and laugh…but today is one of those days. Just read an article about a video out there called “There are no trees” that posits that the forests we see on earth now are not really forests and don’t contain “real trees” just small versions of the real trees that used to exist and towered hundreds of kilometers high carrying it’s own ecosystem. For proof, the makers cite Devil’s Tower as being the stump of one of the real trees and then goes on to say that other geological formations are more stumps. Now, you just have to hand it to the flat Earth folks…doing all the work to invent a brand new delusion for people to embrace…and the internet fringes have with over a hundred thousand views of the video…I haven’t seen it…not going to waste and hour and a half of my life on someone else’s delusions when mine work perfectly fine….oh, one last thing…these “real trees” sound suspiciously like the “Integral Trees” of the novel of the same name by Larry Niven…that was a pretty good story…but, just a story…

RIP Gene Wilder….

Well…it always a sad day when one of the good guys dies…and today is no different with the passing of Gene Wilder, one of the funniest people that I have ever seen. After I saw him in Willie Wonka, I could not wait to see him in another role and he did not disappoint…what would Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and The Producers be without Gene’s unique talent? I will miss him but I am thankful that we will still have him on film…RIP Gene….

A little music…

Well…have been thinking about this one for a bit and thought I’d get the thought down before it passed…I wonder if Geico knows what the ZZ Top song “LaGrange” that they use in their motorcycle ads is about? And, I wonder if they care…that it is about a little whorehouse in Texas? Just another instance of a corporation using music that sounds good without thinking what it is really about…just like GMC using “Emenince front” by the Who…weird…oh, just watching a small concert by Peter Framton on tv…he sure looks like he is having fun and appreciates that people are still coming out to see him…
