Well..this is pretty weird for me…still have a cup of coffee going and it’s after 2 in the afternoon….this will probably make my sleep tonight even worse than it normally is but there was not enough left in the pot to have tomorrow and I just didn’t want to dump it out…I guess this will be an interesting evening since I’m back on the wagon for the next month or more so that won’t be putting me to sleep either…oh, well…and my heat has been on all day….

Well…I am really thanking the rain today since it has kept me off the bike and I really needed the healing time for my body…but that got me feeling guilty about being lazy so I started work on the bathroom door and spent a couple of hours sanding, filling and scraping it as I found that sanding the latex paint just melted it so I had to take my 1 inch wood chisel to go over the whole thing…just like the entire bedroom that I am now using…and it peeled off a lot of it but there is still more to do to get an acceptable finish…and then I have the other side to do….and my shoulder and right side hurt like crazy and they will be worse tomorrow…I checked the hinges in the stripper but they are not done yet so I’ll leave them in a couple more days as I work on the door and frame…there are paint chips everywhere and I need to clean them up in a few minutes…or maybe I’ll wait to do that until I do the other side…it was so nice not having paint chips or dust to deal with all summer…this is going to suck….oh, well…

Well…only up once last night at around 5 and back to getting up after 7 and I am really not sure why that is happening…still don’t feel like I slept at all and I am happy that I’m taking the day off the bike today…have been so sore from going into the wind lately that it’s hard to just move…and the wind is blowing 15 right now and is supposed to get to 25-35 mph in the next few hours with rain coming in around noon so a perfect day to just stay in and sit on the couch….didn’t get anything done yesterday but I am going to work on the bathroom door and frame today…and I need to fish the hinges out of the strip to see if they are clean yet…they have been in the strip for a couple of days and I hope they are clean by now….and today starts my month of being good since I have my big doctor appointment in the first part of November and need to have a month to get my BP and liver enzymes down before they do the blood work…and I can use the loss of weight that will lead to…not much to do today…just going to ease into the day and read a little news for a while before I get started….don’t feel like doing much right now but I think the coffee will help after I have a couple of cups….more later….

Well…I really was going to do two rides today but the rain came in just after I got back from the first one so I put the bike away and gave up for the day since it is supposed to rain off and on all day with some storms tonight…and my damn garage door opener decided to puke on me so I had to e-mail the company to see if I can get them to cover it on warranty and I can get a new one…what a pain in the butt…more later…

Well…that’s back to normal…got up at 6 this morning and that works with needing to go out to get the paper and it was warm enough to put the top down on the car…it was supposed to be raining but it isn’t so it looks like I’ll be out on the bike at 8 today and will get at least one ride in so I’ll be able to eat again…yay! I did get some work done on the bathroom door frame yesterday and I’m going to check on the hinges to see how they’re doing along with starting on the door today….damn, I was really hoping for a day off the bike today to take it easy and heal up a bit…everything from my neck down hurts and I even had my left thigh hurt yesterday and that never happens…oh, well…need to look through the freezer this morning to get something out to eat tomorrow…will be eating out of the freezer this week since there is no protein on sale but I need to check save a lot and DD in case there is something I can use….I guess there will be salads for the next couple of days but I’m running out of tomatoes and that didn’t happen last year…not much to do today…I just want to sit here and drink coffee but I will suit up in a little while and get on the bike….man, I’m tired….one of these days I’m going to go back to bed when I feel like this…but not today…more later….

Well…after sitting here all day waiting and watching the rain fall, it finally stopped around 2 and I was out on the bike by 2:15 for the first ride and I thought it was going to be the only one for the day since I wanted to watch football and the race…but, after I got back here I decided to go out for a second one around 4 or so and that put me really behind for everything that came after it…doing this, doing the dishes, and making dinner and now I need to make ice and do my teeth before I settle in for the night at 7….I really did think that I was going to have a couple of days off with all of the rain that is forecast for tomorrow after all the rain today so getting these rides in allowed me to eat a second meal today….and I won’t feel nearly as bad if I do get rained out tomorrow….now I need to get the rest of the stuff done and do a little relaxing….

Well..damn, it’s still raining out here so it looks like two days in a row off the bike so I guess I’ll have to lube up the downstairs bike so I can at least get 8 miles a day in…and two days in a row off will mean I’ll gain at least a pound without burning the 1500 calories I do on the bike every day…and that sucks…I guess I’ll just have to let it go and enjoy the day off and watch Michigan and then the race later…I may be able to get out for one ride after the Michigan game and then miss the start of the race and that won’t be as bad…darn…

Well…this is getting weirder by the day…only got up once at 5 but then stayed in bed til almost 8…and had some dreams that I don’t remember but they were pretty vivid…still have that damn headache I had yesterday but I don’t think it’s a migraine but is just from allergies and I think I’m going to have to take something for it….man, I am exhausted this morning and I’m not sure if I have enough energy to get on the bike…I know I will but it’s raining right now so I might get a reprieve…yep, just looked outside and it’s raining so I can just relax for a while and have some coffee….but that puts a lot of stress on me to get two rides in before the Michigan game at noon…maybe I’ll just not ride today….that will be painful…..I did watch the Thor movie last night and Tom you were right, kind of a waste of time and they probably shouldn’t make another one…but the she-hulk show is shaping up to be a good one and the one I watched last night was intriguing….and it gives me a new show to fill my time….not much to do today….have to work on the bathroom door and frame to keep that project on track and I think I can do that when the game is on but I don’t want to do anything right now….I am just worn out and everything hurts so I’ll just sit here and read for a while….I really do hate getting old….more later….

Well…when I was out on the bike this morning, the squiggly lines and broken glass look was back in my eyes that are called auras and I get them without a resulting migraine…although I do have one now on the right side of my head…it is just so weird having my vision fractured like that and this one lasted almost an hour but it is gone now and my vision is back to normal…it has been about a year since the last one and that one happened on the bike, too so that’s a little strange….I did get some work done today! Got the work room set up and took the door off the bathroom and have the hinges and hardware in the stripper downstairs where it will have to sit for a few days to get the 12 coats of paint off them….I don’t think they had been removed since the house was built and it took me an hour and a half to get the screws out with having to chip all the paint off them…and just that beating on my shoulder has it hurting so badly that I can barely move it…damn, need to get started on the door tomorrow and I’m not sure how much work I’m going to do to them…I could probably put a month into the door and frame but don’t want to…so we’ll see when I start on that tomorrow…it is so funny that from new they never painted the top or bottom of the door…it’s still raw wood and I can’t figure that out…oh, well…

Well…that was a bit of a relief…woke up this morning with the furnace running and getting it to start for the first time is always stressful….don’t really want to start paying a huge gas bill but it is comforting to know the thing will run…and I didn’t get up til 7 again and I’m not sure what is going on with that after waking up only once at 5:08…cripes, it’s only 40 degrees out there and that makes me have no urgency to get out on the bike since I can’t get out in shorts until it’s around 50…and that is kind of relaxing….so I can sip my coffee and read the news this morning…felt like I had a bug of some sort yesterday but I feel better today so it must have been the lack of calories for a couple of days and allergies….it is such a fine line to balance the intake with what I need to not gain weight and you know how much I struggle with that…I do need to get two rides in today with only doing one yesterday but the light day hasn’t helped my back at all and I was hurting just sitting here last night…lubing the combustion blower worked since it just came on and it’s pretty quiet….I think I may be looking forward to the winter this year since I survived a winter out here and shoveling the snow didn’t kill me….but it was a below average snowfall year so we’ll see about this one….not much to do today…going to get started on the bathroom door hinges and get the work room set up but I need a drop cloth and I’m not sure if I have one in the work tote downstairs…might have to make a run out to depot this morning since I need the plastic to put under the sawhorses when I’m going to paint the doors in there…more later….
